Would give 0 stars if I could. Worst housekeepers I've ever used, beware!!! Incredibly rude service, the women didn't look at us when we were speaking to them, never cracked a smile, but glared at us plenty. Streaks over all the counters and mirrors, small piles of dirt and dust gathered but not swept or vacuumed up. Did a quick, hasty job and charged us 3x what they should have. Once complete, I saw them zip their car out onto the street and nearly hit a passing car, then aggressively cut in front of them. Terrible cleaners and people. Avoid! read more

I decided to book Excellence in Housekeeping when I became very busy with my career, they were a recommendation from a neighbor in my building and the ONLY cleaning company that responded to my inquiry at the time. I loved coming home to a fresh smelling home, having the bed made up, and they always did a thorough job around the baseboards which was much appreciated, plus the little folds on the toilet paper was to die for. The convenience was also something I appreciated, it was easy to communicate with the team and make changes as needed. I had constant communication with Tia and she always made me feel 100% taken care of. Late, expensive, and poor quality $350 to clean an empty 1b/1b apartment, that was already relatively clean. Post cleaning, found hair in drawers and some debris on kitchen range top. Scheduling was a mess, and they no showed me once. Please go elsewhere. I'm amazed they even have good reviews. Upon complaining about scheduling, they reduced my price by 1/3, which I do not feel made up for the infraction. At least 1/2 should have been deducted. read more

I needed a cleaning service to help get our house ready to put on the market. I had heard about Excellence in Housekeeping around the Seattle area so I decided to give them a shot! I needed a very specific date due to needing to get our house on the market ASAP and the manager Nikki was able to move their schedule around to accommodate - they were even willing to drive out to my house in Lynnwood! Right off the bat this was amazing because most businesses these days just DON'T go above and beyond. The crew did everything I ask and more! When I came home, my ovens looked like they had never never been used! The stains on the bathtub calking that I could NEVER get clean not matter how hard I scrubbed where completely white! Every inch of my house was spotless. They even cleaned my fireplace and washed the outside of the windows. I now feel so good about having potential buyers come walk through the house to preview! I hate writing reviews like this, but after nearly 5 months of using Excellence in House Keeping for my place in downtown Seattle, I have reached the end. The condo is only 800 square feet, and yet, it never felt clean, even after repeated complaints. I'm certain one reason my place was not cleaned was the couple of times I returned home to get paperwork or something else I needed and would find several of the cleaners (yes, they send a team of at least 4) on their cell phones when I walked in unexpectedly. I respectfully complained multiple times that my place was not cleaned after their visits. The owner gave excuses, but nothing changed. Finally, after their last visit, I pulled out the vacuum cleaner and cleaned up TWO BAGS worth of dust and debris- all this AFTER they completed their cleaning. I wish Renee, the owner, were more attentive to her staff and especially to the complaints of her customers. So that's the dirt on a dirty house cleaning service. read more

This company is borderline criminal. Apparently it takes 2 housekeepers 7.25 hours to clean 800 square feet. When you first book an initial appointment the owner Renee give you a quote of $35 an hour. Seems reasonable! I've had several cleaners come to clean my house, and most take 1.5 - 2 hours total with one person so I thought this would be a reasonable price for a home cleaning. Boy was I mistaken. When I got the bill I could not believe how many hours I was being billed for. How is it possible that it takes this long to clean if the workers are moving at a reasonable pace? Oh, I should also mention that the housecleaners broke my blinds and left the shower head nozzle tilted towards the ceiling which resulted in flooding my bathroom when I went to take a shower. Feels great coming home to a clean home that's smells great. Excellence in Housekeeping even took care of laundering our towels and bedding while we were away. This was easy to arrange and the office manager explained the service in detail, and even had us fill out a special list so we knew what to expect and our specific needs would be addressed. I'm a fan of Excellence in Housekeeping. We've been using them for years to clean our home weekly in Queen Anne. The team is always on time, reliable, and quite pleasant. They're very detailed and take into account the small stuff (i.e., little things that bug you -- for me, it's toilet seats not being up), and also, very important to me, they keep your pets in mind while they're cleaning. For the first few months they were really great, but then service started to really drop off. We had a few issues, and I was about to cancel service altogether, but Renee reached out and really wanted to make it right for me. I have been using Excellence in Housekeeping for several years in my condo and am very satisfied with the service! They work as a team which takes less time, but they are very thorough and do an excellent job. You get a list of what is included so you know what to expect. When I am out of town and not as much to do they will do extra things I request. I feel very comfortable that my belongings are safe. The crew is always pleasant to have around if I stay home, they are all really sweet. Great small cleaning company for residential homes! I am a property manager, so I've dealt with the good and the bad on the cleaning company side of things. I must say I'm impressed with the attention to detail of the cleaners. There were a few things missed that only a OCD brain like mine would notice and some small miscommunications regarding how large the space was (which caused them to send 4 people instead of the 2 requested) but this was fixed as soon as they came in the door and saw the space. Communication is very easy and the owner/manager is very easy to work with. I will say on the first cleaning, the one gal who was directing the other actual cleaners wasn't really doing too much except for some small dusting and yet I was still charged for 3 people. The price is pretty fair so I just let it be. I would recommend and will continue to use them for regular cleaning for my home. read more

I've never used this company for cleaning services, but I have encountered the crazy lady that drives their maroon minivan a few times in/around downtown. As a commuter, I totally understand getting/dealing with bouts of occasional road rage, especially in Seattle. But this woman takes it to a whole new level. I was scared, and her rage wasn't even directed at me. She was weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating, cutting people off, and double-fisted flipping people the bird. Double-fisted! While on the freeway! I would be ashamed to have that woman as an employee driving around in MY vehicle, representing MY company. Shameful. read more

First time cleaning and they did a terrible job. They didn't move anything to dust it and just wiped around things instead of picking them up and wiping under, for example: they didn't pick up picture frames and dust behind it, or dust the wine rack, or wipe the window sill, etc. Their vacuum sucks and there were still crumbs on the carpet. Crumbs were left on the floor near the kitchen counters. They did not wipe down the baseboards. They did not wipe down the kitchen cabinets. Definitely don't hire them. They're expensive and not worth the money if you want a thorough cleaning rather than a surface cleaning. read more

These folks have cleaned for use for years and thank God. Meticulous, timely, thoughtful, friendly I could go on and on. They periodically suggest deep cleanings if different things; the grout; kitchen cabinets; fridge. These are always great suggestions.
