For the millwork I purchased interior doors, mouldings, wainscot, fiberglass columns, and exterior, Azek and fir for facia, soffit material etc.. Once the framing was complete, Mike came out to the house before the quote to measure everything and make sure the 2 dozen doors had the correct opening orientation and size. We went over many molding profiles and door styles. The price was very competitive and it was an easy decision. Once we got started, Mike was always quick to respond and when I needed a few add on pieces the truck was there for delivery to keep my schedule on track. I wish all of my suppliers were as good! To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

Several months after the installation a stress crack appeared. It started in the underside of the countertop in a corner and spread to the top of the counter where it is very visible. It was less than a year so I contacted Fuda and they basically accused me of putting something heavy or hot on the counter which is absolutely false. In the reply the owner(?) was extremely rude, accusing me of being demanding. This is my email... "I called last week and was told you'll call me back. I haven't received a call yet. I would like to attempt the repair, however, the crack is NOT from weight or heat it's a dress fracture from where the corner was cut. It started in the corner and moved up to the countertop. Do you not warranty your work for a year? The condition of sale statement at the bottom of the invoice doesn't state anything about guaranteeing your work, it also doesn't mention quartz. It's mainly a statement about liability if the product is not maintained. Please prove a copy of your warranty policy. If my only option is to repair it I would like that done as soon as possible. If it looks horrible, I don't expect perfection, but I do expect it to look good, then we'll have to figure out the next steps. But I have pictures as well and this is a stress fracture from where it was cut. There's no way possible it was heat since it started in the side and we put nothing heavy enough to damage the countertop on it." There is nothing rude or demanding in that email. However this is part of his reply... "When we installed it back in April 2023, there was absolutely no mention or note of a stressor or crack, as you mentioned. At the time of installation, you had the right to inspect and refuse the job, but that was never done. If it were true, we would have replaced it then. Now, several months later, you are demanding and accusing us of wrongdoing, which I will not partake in." I made no accusations - I stated what was wrong. Sounds like they're used to being defensive. He DID offer to have someone try to repair it but actually stated it could look good or it could look horrible and if it does he would sell me a replacement at cost. He also stated that I had the opportunity to inspect and report the issue at the time of installation. Since the crack started under the cabinet, I had no way to see it at time of install. Bottom line, shame on me for not making sure there was a warranty so I own responsibility for that. In the email, he stated no one in the industry provides a warranty. It's not true. I checked. He also stated is they do the price is significantly higher. Also not true in every case. After the comment that "it could look good or it could look horrible" and the rudeness, I didn't trust them to try to repair it. I repaired it myself and it doesn't look horrible but the crack is visible, which I will have to live with. Hope this information is helpful before you decide where to buy your countertops.
