From the time I drove into the parking lot until I drove out of the parking lot, I was comfortable, greeted with friendly knowledgeable care, the environment is super clean, the staff is so patient, caring, and Family oriented. They made sure that I was comfortable in the setting, that all of my needs were taken care of, and then I felt sure about the diagnosis and where to go from there. I 1000% recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent care services. I could go on, but I think you get the point. I will add, when I left, it had started to get dark and there was a parking lot security officer who made sure I even got to my car safely. If you weren't doing ER service like this, you're doing it wrong. Every single patient should feel like a VIP.

My over all personal patient experience at Baptist Cancer Center is a positive one, yet there are…read moresome small differences from being a patient at BCC compared to being a patient at Texas Oncology. For Instance, Baptist is very busy and therefore I personally get the feeling of being just another patient to the staff and nurses and sometimes a little rushed, unlike Texas Oncology where there was never a check in line and by the second visit the entire staff knew you and called you by your first or last name, which ever you preferred and the overall atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. The wait time to be checked in at Baptist may at times have you standing in line waiting anywhere from 10- 35 mins. For instance today, my appointment was at 11 with only two individuals in front of me. I wasn't checked in for my appointment until 11:35 both front desk clerks were busy trying there best to answer questions to those ahead of me as well as had to stop and answer non stop phones rining. I felt they were doing the best they could but it made for a long wait. Once checked in, I was taken back to a room within less than 5 mins. The nurses are always friendly and the rooms are always clean and lots of reading materials to bid your time, waiting for your doctor, at Texas OC, your wait to be taken back after checked in can be up to an hour. I waited for about 8 mins before seeing the doctor, at TOC I've waited over an hour. Both the doctors at Baptist and TOC have exceptional bedside manner. Very personally, very kind, and make you feel as though you are top priority. The only negative I have about Baptist is the Chemo/treatment area; is very crowded with very little room for friends or family without you having the feel that you're sitting on top of the next patient. However I don't think they would ever deny anyone from having family or friends with them. At TOC, it's spacious and the patients feel free to socialize openly with one another as well as their families. All in all both cancer centers are amazing and I highly recommend either one.

The aide on the bariatric floor never responded to my grandmother's call button, even after 30 minutes, until one of us walked down to the nurses station ourselves to find that she was coloring pictures. When the charge nurse, Judy, was asked about this, she responded in a rude manner and provided no help. My grandmother was in extreme discomfort and could not get to the bathroom by herself. Once the aide came to our room, she said absolutely nothing to any of us and waited for us to pick up my grandmother and her IV stand by ourselves then left the room without any help being provided. If it wasn't for our nurse and our own ability to stay around the clock to provide my elderly grandma assistance, she would not have received even close to adequate care. I am very disappointed with the staff's behavior and would not recommend that anyone allow their families to receive care from these people.

They are not…read morein the network with local hospitals and that may be enough to go elsewhere if you anticipate needing admittance to a hospital as a followup to coming here. She was received without delay and the CT showed nothing significant to deal with. Dr Ireland, nurse Faith, radiology tech Tony and admissions rep Amella were all polite, efficient and attentive. We will go here again when we need help and don't expect further hospital admission.

The doctor here did not suture him up, he wrote a prescription for pain medication, that we could not even get filled due to his license being in Oklahoma and NOT Texas. When my mom went back to get this corrected, they told her to just wait and go to our primary care physician. So my dad left this establishment IN THE SAME WAY HE GOT THERE. In pain and with an open wound. This is not healthcare, this is not the way anyone should be treated, let alone someone who is clearly in need of EMERGENT medical attention. Never again. I arrived at about 5:20 and was home by 9:ish pm. I had excellent medical care and so far today my symptoms are manageable. I recommend this ER to all with Private or Group Insurance. It is a private facility and by law they cannot accept Medicaid, Medicare or Tri-Care.
