Executive Care Landscaping does not support their own work. I recently bought a home that they had landscaped under the previous owner. In researching all the information I went back to Arthur Navarrette and asked if he had plans or survey work for his Landscaping installation. He indicated that he did not. Fair enough. I then texted him, "I have your creation, fully as you designed and installed. Tell me why I'm losing vegetation and make me a better caretaker than the original owners." NO ANSWER I then texted him "A great article in Home Magazine and justifiably on the install sell side. But I think just as compelling is a picture and description of what it looks like in 5-10 years? NO ANSWER read more

We contacted Arthur Naveratte and made an appointment for an in-person review of our property in early December 2020 to pursue a complete renovation of our front yard. Arthur changed the appointment three times which seemed to indicate he was not interested in our project. When he showed up for the appointment the first thing we did was we ask whether he was really interested in our project, we did not want to waste his time if it wasn't within either the dollar range or type of projects he preferred. Arthur emphatically stated he was interested, we discussed some of the options, and he photographed the yard. He promised a proposal before Christmas. Unfortunately, Arthur never submitted a proposal and never called or emailed to explain his lack of response. Business must be good. Arthur and his entire team were an absolute joy to work with! We fell in love with a particular landscaping design we've seen in our area. When asked each homeowner who they used, the unanimous answer was Arthur at Executive Care Landscaping. Arthur was gentle and polite right from the start. His energy and attention to detail was welcoming, and he listened to our concerns and budget right from the start. We bought a home with the original sad landscaping from 1999. The grass was on a sloped descent towards the house, causing water waste and build-up. There was also an unused dirt area near the front door that didn't make sense. This project was a complete "rip and replace". Together we came up with a gorgeous design plan. I say "we" because although they had the original design in mind, they included me on every step of the decision making process, which I wanted!! I was able to pick out plants, decide where I wanted rocks, lights, etc. Others may decide they don't want to participate this much, I was the opposite. This is my second major landscaping project (previous home) and had a negative experience in the past. They solved our unused dirt area by turning it into a GORGEOUS front porch area, with a short sitting wall, planting area, and uplights! It looks so lovely and truly looks like it is part of the original house design. Executive Care was nothing short of professional. Their staff was always on time, friendly, and extremely polite. Always going the extra mile to do little things that most would charge extra for. The also finished on time. Adam, the project lead, has become our regular weekly landscaper. He's very knowledgeable about landscaping and construction, which has been awesome. I've included some pictures, but truly they don't represent how lovely it looks in person. I have to say that I rarely write a less than stellar review however I feel that the lack of customer service I received from Executive Landscape needs to be stated. Summer of 2013 I was looking to have my backyard landscaped after having a pool installed. I called several companies for estimates and with Executive I went on line and left my information, that was the only company that did that. I did have a time line to get the estimates. 2 days later I received a call from the office to schedule my estimate. I explained that I was on a time line to get the estimate. Every day that I was available the estimator was not. I became so frustrated that I was ready to take off work to meet him at my home and the office person said she would have the owner call me back personally. I was delighted and felt like an effort was being made. When the owner Arthur called me the very same thing happened only he told me he was booked out 2 weeks. I gave him my address and also that I see one of his trucks driving down my street at least twice a day. He told me that 2 weeks was the best he could do. The other 4 companies I called were very attentive and met with me within 24 hours. I found an amazing landscape company and my yard looks awesome. I am sure the work that Executive does is good decent work but the taste this left with me is enough to write this review. Maybe the business has grown so much that the owner needed to add another estimator. :( read more

Arthur and his crew were so great to work with from the start to the very end. Arthur is very knowledgeable about his plants/trees/flowers. He listened to us and what we wanted to accomplish in our yard. It takes a lot for me to write a review, as a business owner I get the fact that most people are quick to post how they feel. The owner of this business has parked in front of my driveway not allowing me access to enter my own home he visits my neighbor on a daily basis and the last time he parked in front of my driveway he apologized and said it would never happen again via text. Either he doesn't have a clue or because we are not in the inner circle he doesn't much care, when my wife kindly(much nicer than I) asked the renter next door they sent their daughter out to move the truck which took 2minutes because she's not familiar with how to operate a large truck,as an owner that has 12 company vehicles if I ever had a complaint from a homeowner from one of my guys I would be extremely upset at a situation like this, I will let everyone I know never ever use this company because the owner doesn't care where he parks, it's the little things that make u successful in business! read more

He cancelled twice. Once with some notice, but the second time with hardly any. Told us how good his work was and said that with all things equal, he would be about $4,000 more than most because of his work with plants. Told me to look at his website multiple times to check out his work. I didn't have the heart to tell him all the pictures on his site looked like track home work. Also said he wrote for two magazines, which I don't really care about. Beware, it probably got to his head. Don't let him pull that card on you. Anyone can write articles, especially for free magazines. Very glad he cancelled. read more

We didn't agree to hear his excuses for why he had his crew do such sloppy work because we no longer trusted anything he said or did. We had two other reputable companies (one provided us with a detailed letter for court) come and independently assess the situation, and both were flabbergasted by what they saw. "Adjustments" to his sprays would not have been adequate in any way. We also have an open claim with Better Business Bureau. Mr. Navarette is now threatening us with a letter from a lawyer, trying to intimidate a very unhappy customer into shutting up. Pick carefully when choosing contractors, folks. read more

While Arthur, the owner, talks a good game, his work and customer service on our project were abysmal. He has no concept of natural landscape design, or working with natives, and should never have said he was competent to do the job. We have inexcusable mistakes, like drip being run to oak trees, that any amateur should never make. We're taking him to small claims court. I would steer clear. read more

Executive Care Landscape Management company is first rate all the way. Arthur really listens to his clients and works to match his expertise and vision with the customer's desires. We trusted him to landscape our entire back yard three years ago. We explained our needs (pretty, LOW MAINTENANCE, fun for kids, functional). Our yard is beautiful and is truly low maintenance... I do maybe 20 min of weeding per month and we consistently get comments on how pretty the back yard is. And, it is fun and functional for our family - as requested. I emailed the company asking for an appointment for an estimate to relandscape my front and back yards. I received a call back very quickly to schedule the time, which was great. But then I received another call from someone at the company (couldn't understand his name) telling me that based on the requested items in my email, and because I am located in Sacramento and the company is in Roseville, there was no way they could do the job for the max budget I identified ($12K). I started to explain that I didn't understand how he could make that determination based on an email, and he interrupted me and told me he looked at my house on Google Earth, and then he went through each item I identified saying "water feature - that means something to me; irrigation system - that means something to me" for all the items I identified, as if I was an idiot. I again tried to say that I would prefer he look at the property in person and talk to me in person prior to making an estimate, and that some of the items I identified could be scaled down or eliminated, but he again interrupted me before I could finish my point. I realized right then I didn't want to work with a company that refuses to listen to its clients even before the job starts, because that tells me they won't listen to me after I sign the contract. I also don't appreciate them starting out saying the job will cost more than the budget before even seeing the property first hand and talking to the me. My yard is very small, and I already had two bids from other landscaping companies who said they could do the work I wanted for my budget, so it's not like my requests were unrealistic or unreasonable. This company needs to understand that listening to the customer should be job one - don't interrupt when the customer is talking, don't talk to the customer as if he/she is stupid, and don't have your first personal interaction with the customer be you saying the job will cost more than the customer's max budget based on an email and a fuzzy picture on Google Earth. read more
