I hired Tony to draw up plans for a pool for submission to Riverside county for a permit. He completely misrepresented himself -he said he had a lot of experience drafting plans and was very familiar with the permit process. But he turned out to be totally incompetent and caused months long delay because he had no clue. I made the mistake of paying him upfront. Every time I would call to ask whether he had completed the plans he would tell me he was very busy with other work. He made it seem like he was doing me a favor. He is a cheat, foul mouthed and truly appalling individual. Don't make the mistake of hiring him. read more

Tony seemed very trustworthy during the initial meeting. Although I'm okay but not 100% satisfied with the finished product, I am not pleased having to babysit the whole project making sure his contractors was attentive to my project. Tony recommended IAqualink automation for my pool. Once installed, Tony or his team did not know how it operates and I had to look at YouTube videos to figure it out. His contractors installed the pool equipment but never connected it to the pool to make sure it all worked and to explain to me how to use it. Tony seemed to show up to collect money. He never did quality control check considering he was not there when his contractors did the work. When his team did the grading, they removed a lot of dirt from my yard leaving me to go far beyond my budget installing retainer walls around my yard. Tony and his team never connected the heater to my pool and I had to contact him several times to have the gas terminated to the heater. Once that was done, I had to contact Tony multiple times because the heater wouldn't come on or connect to the IAqualink system app to my phone. Tony eventually had the manufacturer to come out to trouble shoot the issue just to find out it was just a switch on the heater in the wrong position. The fix was easy but once again Tony and his team didn't know how to deal with the Jandy and IAqualink equipment that he recommended and installed. At this point, the rep from Jandy informed me that I need to call the gas company to install a larger gas meter. As I contacted Tony to make the final repairs and quality control, he would always tell me that the person who did the tile (Omar, who is by the way great!) Would take care of it. When I spoke to Omar, he wasn't aware that his services was once again offered. This showed me that the two of them was not communicating. When I pressed Tony to have his guys come out and complete the pebble stone, he mentioned that his contractors had other priorities as if my job was not priority. Overall, I think that if Tony is the foreman ensuring that the job is built to his standards he should be at the jobsite ensuring that his contractors is working according to his standards. The IAqualink system should operate the water spill from the spa but of course in order to do so it will need another pump that should have been captured in the original design. I can even operate my vacuum from the IAqualink system or set on a timer. Concrete and construction paper were left in the auto fill and skimmer. Also, after one month,, I had to already clean my filters which had mounds of sand and pebble rock in the filter. These guys never cleaned anything! Sorry for the long review but I contacted Tony several times to make corrections and he defaults to the tile guy instead of him coming out to make sure everything is built to his standard. Tony and his team remodeled our pool and added a spa. We are very pleased with the outcome. There where a couple of bumps along the way that Tony was more then willing to fix and make right he was very professional through the whole project. As I read the negative reviews on here I see that other people went through basically the same thing I went through. Then I read the positive reviews and think, "We must be talking about two different companies." Because there's no way this company could be great for some and terrible for others. I wasn't going to write a review even though I had a terrible experience. Several of my neighbors knew I had my pool remodeled and they were asking for referrals for a pool contractor to get their pools done. I told them not to use Executive Pool & Spa and gave reasons why. They were horrified by what I went through. They said I should write a review so that other people could learn of the problems I had which could potentially save them time, headache, and a lot of money. Once I decided to use Executive and we were signing the contract I noticed there was no start or end date for the project. This is huge!!! Don't make this mistake!!! I was told they needed a deposit to get me on the schedule, (and it was a fairly large deposit they asked for). Once on the schedule they will give me start/end dates. This never happened, and I never knew what was going on for four months. Make sure its on the contract when the job will start and end, or they will string you along as long as possible. I had to keep calling over and over to find out what was going on. For instance, a demo crew showed up one day out of the blue, no notice. When they were done I was told the next phase would be "Soon." A week goes by...nothing. I call, "Let me check on it." Another week...nothing. "Let me check on it." A week later out of the blue some random guys show up, "We're here to work on the pool." They do the coping. Ok, what's next? "Let me check on it." Three or four weeks later...nothing. This went on the whole time. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A CONTRACTOR I'VE EVER HAD. Finally after the plaster was done I had to hire another contractor to finish the job. Most of the money had already been paid and there wasn't a lot left so I just got pushed to the bottom of their low priority list. It sucked because they left plaster, cement, trash, etc. that I had to get rid of. Not a big deal. I was just glad to get rid of them. The new contractor I hired came in and reviewed the work and said, There's no way this should have taken over four months. They said the plumbing was connected wrong, the pump was wired wrong, and they probably shorted out my heater because of it. They finished it within a week and did some other stuff for me and I couldn't be happier. If you want a referral for them DM me. Anyway, if you're going to use this company; 1) Good luck! You'll need it. 2) Get a start and end date on the contract. 3) Don't pay a lot of money upfront. Have the contract written so most of the money is paid at the end of the job. 4) Get an end date!!! And hold them to it. 5) Contracts are written to favor the contractor. Make sure you are aware of how pool contracts work. If you have questions, check with the state license board. read more

Executive Pools did an excellent job on building our pool, fire pit and walls. Tony, the owner, was easy and congenial to get along with, as well as exceptionally knowledgeable regarding the pool building business. We will be using him in the future to extend our driveway and lay some concrete pads in the back yard and build a decorative wall. He also does patio extensions which we are going to need in the future. We now have somebody competent and capable to do these jobs and trustworthy. So are all of his employees. Even tho the job took just a little bit longer than expected.. that's was ok because The end results were fantastic!! Id like to first say Tony is knowledgeable, but I felt like I babysat the entire job. I never knew when his guys were coming out. I had to call and text throughout the entire process. We had our pool replastered & tiled. We had a few issues and to date still not resolved. Tony's crew put back in our old non working pool light and when I pointed out the new light was still in box in backyard Tonys crew came back out and said they couldn't get it to fit right. Tony said Pentair had changed their sizing which was incorrect as I personally called Pentair and they said no changes have been made. Tony is the one who ordered and brought out the light. Our pool light sticks out rep from Pentair says there's a niche that can be installed. Tony said no to doing this and left me with a pool light that turns on but an eye sore as you can see behind it in the hole. He has you pay upfront and then once he receives the third and final payment before job is done they disappear and give every excuse as to why they can't make it back out. It has been 7 months and still no resolve. My pool light is still not fixed to date. The grout around the spa was horribly done finally 6 months later someone showed up in the rain to fix now there's chunks out of it because it never dried properly. He said they aren't coming out again for that. He and his foreman Bob give a lot of lip service without showing back up. Very unhappy with the overall customer service especially after what we spent. read more

The owner Tony is very undependable and does not follow through. I should have realized this when he couldn't even come by and collect payments on time as set up with our contract. I have been requesting a simple repair to my installation since last April. It has been 7 months and numerous requests on my part but he has not fixed the problem. Every time I get a token response that he will come by this week, but he never does. Customer service is apparently not his priority. I would not recommend this company to repair or install your pool. read more

I wanted to give heads up because Tony at Executive Pool & Spa just started his yelp page it's new but his Pool business has been around a long time and I wanted to say what an awesome job Tony an Bob and his guys did!! from the walk through to the estimate to the work being done an startup! We went through everything from colored tile an different finishes we chose quartz for the longer Warranty for not much more for what you get made sure colors went together then we went over Pool equipment we wanted energy efficient but had a budget and he got us the best without breaking the budget he didn't up sell he got us exactly what we needed to get the job done an not pay for something we didn't need there's a lot of stuff an companies out there with more expensive stuff but not cost effective and not the cheapest either because we want it to last he didn't over sell an he didn't get the cheaper stuff that won't last either it was right where we needed to be an for the price it's unbelievably energy efficient and it's gona last it will be a long long time before we ever have to do anything with the pool again I got five bids so I have a good idea there are a few that might be cheaper but there cutting corners or not doing as good or professional job or using inferior products or equipment or not doing it the proper or correct way there were the rest that were way more expensive with not as good product or equipment or so far out of budget with equipment and product that would never be worth the price or be cost effective to justify an cost almost as much as building a new pool we just did a remodel on 25 year old Pool & equipment first was demo an clean up the guys didn't mess around in an out half day didn't gouge the gunite removed all debris and equipment didn't hurt the lawn and clean up, next was refinish with quartz absolutely flawless finish, that only comes from experience an attention to detail started filling same day Pool equipment delivered an installed same day next 3-4 days prepping finish brushing quartz finish with acid mixed Pool water then start up after balancing water and chemicals as not to hurt equipment with acid water going through then showing me operation of all Pool equipment running everything operation maintenance if your gona do it yourself or recommended a trustworthy long time Pool guy who's service has been around a long time, even all the different led light features too that I didn't know about an let it run an follow up calls and visit to make sure all is good will be posting pictures soon an any updates but we could not be happier and that's without getting in yet stupid weather but with the heater we could warmed it in only couple hours but not supposed to swim in the rain for chance of lightning hopefully this weekend thanks again Tony an Executive Pool and Spa an all your guys you were all professional an honest hard workers could not be happier!!!!
