Really efficient, professional, fast, do all of the leg work in the moving process. They brought all their own equipment and wrapped our stuff up for us before loading it in their truck. A couple things made me really pleased w Exela Movers: 1. Easy responsiveness / communication during pre-move 2. Moved efficiently overall but some highlights: they found my large desk a big disconnecting - they showed it to me before trying to move up the stairs, suggesting deconstructing, which we did, they brought up the pieces and reconstructed in very little effort, and 'saved my desk' that would have likely snapped or broken if they tried to carry upstairs as presented 3. Exela's responses throughout my move process were courteous and prompt, even as I ended up having a change in location. They even re-assessed my inventory and adjusted my moving team to better meet my needs. The move was one of the fastest I've ever had - the movers were excellent. Absolutely amazing movers!! We hired a 4 man team to move two floors of very heavy furniture - including a king size bed - down five flights of stairs and into our new place. Our team was fantastic! They are incredibly professional, prompt, and experienced. All of our furniture was disassembled, wrapped in pads, and treated with the utmost respect. Alexe and the rest of the Excela team were awesome. Leading up to the move they were so easy to communicate with, always answering very quickly, even on a Saturday night when I had a last minute question they got back to me within 30 minutes! They were also very accommodating in scheduling since we wanted to get in ASAP after our close. Alexe was able to work out the schedule to bump us up a day earlier. On the day of the move the team did a pick up at my in-laws as well and didn't charge anything extra for the second location (just the time) they showed up right on time, and were super professional throughout. They did a great job wrapping the furniture and protecting our fragile stuff. They worked non stop the whole time and were very efficient and accommodating even though we weren't the most organized! We used Exela Movers to go from a city apartment to a suburban house, and the whole thing went very smoothly, despite poor weather conditions. Three movers showed up right on time with all the necessary tools, tape and padding to keep our mattress, furniture and paintings safe. They were Tetris wizards, fitting everything into the truck without an inch to spare! They rolled out mats to protect the floors in both locations and moved all the heavy stuff into the rooms we wanted them, even upstairs. After exploring 5-6 other movers we decided to go with Excela based on their web page but mostly for the reviews they were getting. Well, I'm a fussy person as is my wife. With that being said, what I can tell anyone that is searching for a moving company that will satisfy your needs I personally don't think you can do any better than Excela! The crew showed up exactly on time, took a complete inventory of everything we had to move, noted any current scratches or damage on our furniture bringing them to our attention before blanketing everything INSIDE the house to alleviate any damage to the house or furniture. The care they took with all our belongings was very impressive and warming. They even helped us with the overflow of items we had to load in our own vehicles. Excela specializes in express moves. This move was from Salem NH to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. An express move means your possessions are loaded on the truck and the next time they are touched is when they bring them inside your new home. All the other "big dogs" of the industry will load your stuff and then bring them to their warehouse and unload them at their dock. Then they will combine your possessions with other peoples items so they can maximize their trucks. That means your possessions are moved FOUR times instead of two leaving more room for errors and damage. It also means that you will have to wait 5-10 days for your possessions to arrive. I could go on and on about how careful and professional these guys are but what I can say is if you value your possessions and require an express move, you can't do better than Excela movers. I've used some of the other movers and these guys far out shine them all. And to put the frosting on the cake, their pricing is very reasonable. Simply the best. read more

Things that went well: - The movers were on time - The movers were friendly and accommodating - Arranging the move was easy and responsive Things that did not go well: - We told the movers that there would certain items we were donating (a couch/coffee table/chest) instead of bringing to our new home. We instructed the movers to put those items in the U-haul we rented. This was our biggest mistake because the movers were careless with these items when moving. Examples: - They ripped a hole in the couch - They broke the leg off a chair Once we told the movers that we could no longer donate these items, we asked them to recommend someplace we could trash the items. While not ideal since we originally wanted to donate the items, we really just wanted to get rid of the items. The movers said they could take the items off our hands... but we had to pay for it..$275! Overall, nice guys but I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. UPDATE AS OF 10/22: The moving director reached out with sincere apologies for any errors made by the crew. She was extremely kind, persistent and apologetic. She offered a refund for any broken furniture, which is greatly appreciated. Great custom service. read more
