This oocation can be definitely busy, but it is a good resource to the community. Many families bring their kids here for sports related injuries. there was a wait as a walk on and i believe it's because they allow appointments. Which I think is great during the week if you can schedule in, however, not during the weekend, it should be walk-in only with a few doctors. That said, the waiting room was really nice and equipped, and offered a lot of comfort. In my particular case they had everything I needed to give me immediate answers for questions as in test and x-rays, etc. etc. they were able to administer medicine that made an immediate effect and prescribed medication's. They could have mentioned if you are walking in you can scan to check in. Because of this lack of forethought, I ended up with 8 people ahead of me having checked in faster. I'm here as we speak. Out of the 3 hours I've been here I've only talked to people for about 5 min. This is for a PI case where I was assaulted. Dr Pham may have the knowledge but his English is not good enough to be a doctor. Aside from that, he simply placed his finger on my neck for 3 seconds and said I don't need an Xray. This place is a non urgent care if you ask me. Emergency rooms are definitely faster. Nothing done for my pain or the fact that I haven't been able to sleep for 2 days. They're all terrified to prescribe actual pain pills because the CURES system. The xray tech was very nice though, otherwise it would be 1 star. read more

So here we are, Exer. Our annual visit for urgently needed medication from the summer heat. Their online process continues (see my prior review). Once you're done with online registration on your own smartphone, an email is generated with an estimated time for your appointment. It was a Saturday at 4pm and although there were only 2 families in the waiting area, and I was assured there were 2 people ahead of me, it took an hour and a half of wait. I did notice that their website offers appointments now and a bunch of services including physicals, workers comp injury, STD / COVID / TB Skin Testing, etc. Seems like an expanded list offered to get more customers while having only 1-2 physicians or NP's onsite. The staff at reception area and the intake nurse were super nice. But once we got to the room, it was another 30 minutes of wait. When the APP did come, it was less than a 5-minute interaction. I informed the APP that we waited 2 hours, and the response was there is only one provider. No wonder the wait was horrible. Exer, please staff-up. I gave a rating of two because of the staff was kind, the place is clean, and it is in a good location. Parking is free and there is a nice seating area outside. If you're not in pain, you can go to Whole Foods and maybe get your grocery done during the wait, lol. However, I don't think they want you to be far away after registration - since the policy is usually for the patient to wait, but heaven forbid they have to wait 10 minutes for you...well, you might lose your spot. This is crazy, America. This is not "urgent" care. It is "wait for 2-3 hours" care. Good luck to us all. We need a better health care system. read more

The girl at Front Desk said she had no idea how long the wait it was- and that the 12:00 appt. had already been waiting 1/2hr. After waiting almost 40 min and seeing the "walk-in" people called, I left. I got a text 67 minutes after my appt. time saying I could go into Exam area. Leaving two stars, although I'd like to put zero, because the nursing staff make up for the poor bedside manners of Dr. Michael Pham. He kept laughing while I was telling him my concerns and tried to get up multiple times during our FIVE MINUTE interaction to leave while I was asking him questions. I'm a private pay client and paid $215 for 5 min. of minimizing and gaslighting. I'm appalled. On a different note, thank you once again for the nurses working there. I made a 12PM appointment for an EKG. No one was at the front desk. Employees would walk by and nothing. They didn't bother to come up and ask what I'm here for or if I need any help. So if you're really sick, I suggest you go elsewhere because you won't get urgent care at this urgent care (ironic). Also, there's only one doctor on call, and they will take an hour lunch break around noon. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AROUND NOON to 1PM. It's available online but DO NOT book a time slot between those times. I walked in at 11:40AM as you're told to arrive earlier and they will not take anyone in half an hour before noon and until about 12:45-1PM. Do not bother to even walk in during this time either. Pure idiocy. I went by because of an injured foot. The receptionist said we CANNOT leave and MUST wait in the lobby. We were told we couldn't even wait outside front of the door (all glass front, btw). So I'm supposed to expose myself and my family to people who are sick for over an hour while we wait to be seen? For what reason? I'm truly baffled on the reason. This facility USED TO allow you to wait outside. Heck, they used to let you leave the general area because they had a text message system that would text as your spot in line changed. I would give zero stars if I could. I brought my 12 year old yesterday because of a suspected foot fracture after she stubbed her toe. After waiting 3 hours to be seen (there were 5 people in the online queue when I registered), the NP told us she was fine, no fracture, and sent us home. All yesterday my 12 year old complained she could not walk and was in tears, and based on the medical advice we got I told her to walk it off. This morning I got a voicemail from the doctor saying the xray report came back and there is a fracture. I called back and now there is no answer. I cannot believe the medical incompetence. The NP did not say, go home, wait for the radiology report and we will call. She said there was no issue. My prior experiences were not great but was never this bad. Do not go here unless you have the time and are willing to wait an hour to be seen after your appointment time. Nurse was great and doctor was great. Front desk needs to do a better job at not scheduling appointments while the doctor on that day is on his lunch break. Had I had the time to wait today this would have been less of an issue, but there was no communication until I asked after already waiting for 35 minutes. The answer was "sorry the doctor is on his lunch break". I totally get that, but don't schedule appointments during that time. read more

Dr Pham was fantastic. My wife clarified what our expectations were and he got to the point did all the tests, prescriptions issued and we were on our way. The funny thing was the picture of my stupid doctor was on the board as an advertising. Just smiling and staring at me. We share our frustration with my doctor as how bad he is treating his patients. I guess that's a good advertisement for them since he turns a lot business to them by refusing to talk and help his patients. Overall it was a good experience and if your doctor turns out to be like mine, then you should definitely consider this place. I came here to get my stitches removed after 8 days, which I was told by the doctor who put them in was completely fine after 7. I informed the front desk and the medical assistant, and they had me wait 3.5 hours just to get four stitches removed. After all that waiting, the doctor comes in and tells me I need to wait 10 days and I could not get it removed today. I explained that my original doctor said it was fine after 7, and after some back and forth, he finally agreed to remove them -- but the whole situation was frustrating and unnecessarily drawn out. To make things worse, I was told after the 3 1/2 hour wait that i can get a refund and come back in 3 days to get the stiches removed! if that was the case why not tell me before the 3 1/2 hour wait! And then, the cherry on top: I accidentally left my blue water bottle in the room and went back to ask for it. I told them exactly where I left it -- right next to the bed I was sitting on -- and they barely even looked before telling me they didn't have it. I kept telling them it was there, and they wouldn't even let me check the room myself. It wasn't until my boyfriend went there later in the day and pushed them to look again that they finally "found" it in the exact spot I described. Absolutely incompetent. Unfortunately, I've had to come here a few times for urgent issues, and each visit has been worse than the last. On one occasion, a nurse misread my chart, completely misdiagnosed the situation, and prescribed extremely strong antibiotics that I never should have been given- even the pharmacist commented on it showing concern for what was prescribed. On another visit, they miss-treated a bacterial infection with the wrong antibiotic, and before even confirming whether an infection was present, they tried to prescribe me yet another antibiotic which thankfully I refused-- which turned out to be unnecessary since no infection was there at all (two different instances) Because of these repeated mistakes, I had to consult with a physician at UCLA, who properly diagnosed and treated what this clinic failed to address, and said to me "never go there again "The level of care and lack of competence here is alarming, even in urgent situations. I would strongly advise avoiding this place. read more

Im asking for receptionist /front desk clerk at this location and to anyone else in the health care industry to be thoughtful and a little compassionate with people coming in to get some care. Reasons why this review got 2 stars because I would give it 1 star. The neighborhood/shopping center is super nice with plenty of parking. There's a lot of stores such as whole food and Nordstrom Rack plus restaurants. We had to wait close to 3 hours so that was a huge plus to have to kill some time. Worst part is we don't live nearby and I had asked for the doctor to email a letter for my son to be able to go back to school. To be honest, I'd leave if my back didn't hurt so bad that walking to the car would be a chore. I'm also over 100 minutes invested and I already paid my copay. So, here I am. The check in process is a bit clunky. There is no cellular service in the area, so you first have to connect to their WiFi via a QR Code. You then use another QR Code to get on their waiting list which then sends you a text message to link where you fill out the required forms. Their waiting list does have a nice option that sends you a text message when it's as little as 15 minutes until you're going to be seen, or so they would have you think. The idea is that you can leave and come back if you'd like which is a nice thought, but in practicality you could leave for over an hour, come back, and still wait. The system does work in that you do get a message for you to come back, but what is supposed to be 15 minutes, quickly evolves into 70+, and I still haven't been seen. What a great resource to have in the neighborhood. I went in for a laceration to my finger; I new it would need stitches. The clinic is spotless, the staff is super friendly and efficient. They took me in immediately. My PA, Jemmilyn, very professional, cleaned my wound, got me an Xray and stitched me up. They even updated my Tetanus shot. This was great experience. It made me forget how pissed I was I cut my finger in the first place. I would absolutely recommend this urgent care facility. read more

I arrived and was 3rd in line. I waited 2 1/2 hours to find out if they could do nothing for me. Chairs were so uncomfortable for that entire time. People who arrived after me were brought back first. First hour was in the waiting room and the second half was in a solitary room. Was told to manage my symptoms, but didn't give me any suggestions. They did do a test and said they would call with the results. I missed the call and trying to get someone on the phone when I called back was impossible. The phone rang for 15 minutes. I tried to register for the portal to see the results but apparently you need a pin that they are supposed to give you which they did not and so you are supposed to call the clinic to get the pin. I have so much gratitude for all the staff at the Exer, especially Dr. Pham, Andrew and Brenda who took care of me today. I made a visit to the urgent care due to a deep cut on my hand that needed stitches. I was pretty shaken up from the injury and accident, but when I got admitted, Brenda and Andrew made me feel comforted and gave me assurance that I was in good care. During the treatment, Dr. Pham made everything so easy, by the time I couldn't feel the pain, we were casually conversing and sharing laughters as my wound was being treated. Once I arrived home, I was followed up with thoroughly documented Doctor's notes and a phone call. This was thus far the best urgent care experience I've had! read more

Love this new location! Located in the newer outdoor mall, The Vineyards in Porter Ranch, this urgent care is super convenient to me. On weekdays, it's a quick drive with easy parking. My visit was on a Tuesday evening. The wait was a tad long but everything else was wonderful. The facility was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor did a through job handling my issue. The nurse was able to draw my blood (normally an issue) on the first stick. Thrilled to have this new Exer so close to home. read more

Would not recommend this Urgent Care to anyone. Was told to go home and take Ibuprofen and follow-up for swap results in two days, which I did. Two days later they didn't have results and said to call back. As a result of concern (symptoms remained the same) went to ER that day and was admitted into the hospital for days. The expertise and quality of care is not here and you risk not getting proper diagnosis. There are better Urgent Care options in the area. Never again!!!! read more

Horrible place! The front office girl, I believe her name is Faiza is really rude. Doctors in that location are inexperienced and condescending. You think you go to a nice location to get treated professionally but no it's not like that at all! It feels like you are in a hood the way they treat you . I do recommend northridge location. I have to say as a person that worked in an urgent care for 11 years, my experience at Exer Porter Ranch was excellent. I went in on a Sunday in a very bad shape. ( the details of my illness is not important but very serious). I was given a check in process that was easy even for a guy who is not that tech savy. I was texted that they were ready, and a wonderful young man (Andrew) greeted me and took me in an exam room. The place is clean and spotless. He took my vitals. Asked my symptoms and my History. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The Doctor came in and examined me. He was very courteous, respectful and thourough. I did some testing, given an injection and oral medication and a prescription. Doctor Pham is top notch. I was out in an hour. I recommend this place. Bravo. read more
