Not commercially competitive. They charge four times the rate of the competition when called to tow a vehicle by the police because of the collusion and lack of compitition. All the tow companies seem to do it, and because their "service" (if that's what you want to call car theft) is mandatory. Filed for a title on my vehicle, placed a hold on the title, lied about it, DMV lady had to call their person in Richmond to get it straightened out. Jil was the absolute best diver! She did so good in the recent snow storm we had ! I was told by another company aaa uses when they have too much business I had to shovel my driveway then he would come back. I did so never seen or heard from him again! Jil at exit 7 saved the day! She came in a timely manner. She handled this project like a champ because it was hard the truck was stuck in the snow she got it out and towed it to my house and got it at my driveway. I've had some bad experiences with towing companies in the past, and in general have low expectations for them. However, our experience with Exit 7 and Jil blew our expecitations out of the water when our van broke down nearby on the way home from vacation with our two young kids. Jil was fast, professional, and made us all including the kids laugh in a stressful situation. We highly recommend utilizing their services (ask for Jil) if you ever need towing services! Daughter's car was towed here following an accident. Tow driver responded to the scene within about 20 minutes (5/5) however, the rest of the experience getting the car repaired was a colossal fail! Made several calls to the mechanic to check on the "progress" of the repairs only to hear that they "haven't gotten to it yet" and then were "waiting for a junkyard to return calls about a missing part. Never bothered to look online and just order the part directly. Finally, after more than a week of the car sitting without being touched, I ordered the part myself and delivered it to the garage. It was finally fixed 3 days later. When I got the car back, the inspection sticker had been removed, my daughter's flute and other items had been stolen. Manager stated that they don't lock the cars up and was unwilling to take ANY responsibility for the missing items. Will be following up with local law enforcement as well as small claims court to reimburse for my missing items. BEWARE! read more

Had a flat and 2 other companies were not able to take the flat off due to lug nut lock. Which I had told them before hand for reason I could not change the tire. My car broke down in the middle of the night, I was alone and had no one to come help. I called exit 7 and within 30 mins, they had my car towed and even helped me get to a safe place. Only after my third call to see where they were at they told me they were not going to be able to come and I would need to find someone else.....Highly disappointed in their service or lack there of. Late in the afternoon on the Friday before the 2019 Memorial Weekend, my Acura MDX decided not to start. I was in a McDonald's parking lot, in Abingdon, VA and I was stranded! AAA sent Al, from Exit 7, to the rescue. When Al arrived and checked out the car, it still would not start, and Al told me I needed to find an auto repair shop, because we thought it was the starter that needed replacing and his company did not do that type of repair. After making sure I had his phone number in case I did need a tow later, Al left and I started searching for an Acura dealership. I found that there are no Acura dealers within a 50 mile radius of Abingdon, so I started searching for a local auto repair shop. After trying three different repair shops (none of them bothered to answer their phones), I took a chance and called Bill Gatton Honda in Bristol, Tennessee, about 25 miles away. It was now 6:45 p.m. and I was pretty sure I was going to be in that McDonald's parking lot for a long time! I lucked out in speaking with the Service Manager, Dave Bratton at Gatton Honda. Mr. Bratton said if i could get someone to tow me in, he would wait for my arrival. Bill Gatton Honda was closing in 15 minutes, at 7:00 p.m, and I was 24 miles away! I immediately called Al at Exit 7, and he agreed to tow my car to Bill Gatton Honda. Al arrived quickly, and again was very courteous and friendly, and while we were on our way to the Honda dealership, was so helpful in pointing out places to eat (I live in North Carolina and was visiting my sister in Rural Retreat, VA, 60 plus miles to the north of where Al was towing my car). Between Al of Exit 7 Towing and Auto, and Dave Bratton of Bill Gatton Honda, a potentially nasty situation, on a holiday weekend, turned out to be positive. I found a great Service Manager in a friendly Honda Dealership, and a terrific towing company. If I ever need a towing service in the Abingdon area again, I'll definitely be calling Exit 7!
