This place is no longer owned and operated by Tim. The new dishonest people who operate this station resold parts to me at a mark up without disclosing and providing itemized bill of costs. No wheel balancing, only one strut was replaced for the price of two. I revealed the scam by bringing vehicle to another shop and obtaining estimate of repair that was as much as 50% less. I filed to Visa dispute resolution and got full refund and paid to another auto service to do it honestly. read more

While on a visit to Bristol our A/C fan went out. In 90+ degree heat this wasn't an enjoyable experience. I asked an acquaintance where I could get this fixed. Fairmont is the only place to go. Well I called and they said bring it by and they would take a look at it. The next morning I stopped in, after finding a place to park, and they said they would get to it. With all the cars I was skeptical at least. Well they had it ready in the afternoon and it was about $150 less than I expected! I can't recommended these guys enough!!!! read more

Before moving here (from out of state) I came on Yelp to look for a mechanic, my car is 15 years old & well...I knew I would need 1 at some point. Fairmont was 1 of the few places that had a good review so I decided to call them. A young man by the name of Mason answered the phone & listened as I explained my situation & what I was looking for. I told him my car was 15 years old, that I had the same AWSOME mechanic for 10 years & that once I got there I needed to find a mechanic just incase. I asked him a few questions about their prices for certain services & just by his explanation I knew I was talking to an honest man. As it happened 2 days after I arrived my coolant light came on & I was leaking coolant. I thought it was odd because I just had my radiator replaced before I moved here. I immediately called Fairmount & asked for Mason, I wasn't expecting much because it was 4:30 on Friday & they closed at 5. I told him who I was & he actually remembered our conversation & told me to stop by. When I got there he checked what he could (without having time to put it on a lift). He said he didn't see any visible cracks or leaks but did notice my coolant was low. He filled the container with antifreeze (he didn't charge me!!) & told me to speak to Mary about bringing it back so he could check it again. A week later I brought it back. They hooked it up to some sort of pressurized machine & it turns out 1 of the new hoses was loose. I obviously had them take care of that & an issue I was having with my right blinker. All total with tax & labor was less than $43.00 dollars! As a sign of appreciation for all they did I brought them a box of donuts.
