When I go to restaurants, most times, I order the exact same simple menu, consisting of beef, fries, cheese croquettes where available, and Dame Blanche as a desert. The croquette was really tasty but was not too tasty. Then I ordered a simple steak with a pepper sauce. It was really tender, cooked exactly as requested, and it's taste was so good I ate most of it without sauce. It came with French fries which were hand-cut, unlike in almost all restaurants. There was also salad which tasted real good, and I am not a salad amateur. Finally, I ordered a simple dame blanche. The vanilla ice-cream was really something, even better than what you get in most ice-cream places. The chantilly was -- I think -- home-made, but I could be wrong. Nothing to say about the chocolate, but I'm not the best to judge that. All in all, it's not the cheapest restaurant ever, but I really don't regret any cent I paid, and I will go there again. I prefer going seldom to a restaurant where the food gives you a couple hours of pleasure, than wasting money on a cheaper but tasteless experience.
