He layered my hair in a way that frames my face well, without it being too short. Like who does that? So, I gather myself and ask to make an appointment, the lady was like I'm doing someone's head, call later and hangs up... Bish wha? If that's the case hire a receptionist or something. F this place. I'm going to ask Groupon customer support Center if I can get a refund or some type of credit. This place is a blood joke. I have grown to dislike natural hair salons. The space is simply decorated with a calm ambiance, and an inviting atmosphere. The lady who did all these services was very friendly and kind. We started off with the body scrub in a lowly lit room, which was soo relaxing and slightly resembled a massage done in a shorter time frame. The scrub felt super exfoliating and my skin was velvety soft afterwards. Next was the facial, which included all of the components, such as extraction, moisturizing, mask, and more. After that, it was time for the pedicure, and the lady prepared green tea and a plate of cookies, gummy candy, and crackers. They were pretty tasty, especially the satisfyingly chewy and sweet gummies, which were from Europe. I selected a deep red color for my toes. It felt nice to put my feet in the warm water and my toes looked great! For the manicure, I picked a shimmery hot pink from the OPI collection. The lady put a lot of care and time into painting my nails, and it really showed. I loved how my nails looked so shiny and smooth when done. I stayed and put my nails under a drying device, but this took awhile. I still needed to be careful upon leaving and I noticed that the nail polish chipped a lot after only a few days. I asked questions and she provided suggestions. Honestly I was worried about how she will be able to handle my hair since I do not maintain it regularly but she has majestic hands. My stylist dyed my roots too light then "fixed it", my appt was nearly three hours, and it suddenly became $90. She said because I asked her to dye all of my hair which I didn't, I just asked her to match the ends... and clearly she didn't, because my roots aren't fully covered and the color has already started fading in one week. She also got dye all over my face mask, inside my ears, and on my neck.

Honestly, I felt uneasy and off-kilter the minute I waked into his salon and I wish I had trusted my instincts. He talked over me and ignored me when I told him what I wanted. He insisted over and over that he would "keep the length" and only add some layers, then whisked me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what he was doing. He had his assistant film me for his website without bothering to ask for my permission (when I pointed out that he should have asked first, he rolled his eyes at me). He then cut off several inches of my hair, leaving me with nearly nothing. When I saw what he had done I was devastated but tried to stay calm. I said, "I really wish you had warned me what you were going to do beforehand." He began storming up and down the hair salon ranting and raving about how ungrateful I was to "give him this sh*t" and how I will never find anyone who can cut my hair like he can. He kept shouting: "It's NOT short, it just LOOKS short and FEELS short" (whatever that means -- it took five months to grow back). As the daughter of a narcissist, I caught on pretty quickly as to what was happening. I just stood there apologizing over and over again with tears in my eyes, insisting it was all my fault and that I really loved the haircut while he continued to berate me. I was scared and wanted to get out of there as quickly as I could. There was no one else in the salon except his assistant and two waiting clients who were watching in visibly horrified silence. After five full minutes of him shouting and me apologizing, after I paid AND tipped, he calmed down and "forgave" me. I cried all the way home. Now I know why the man works alone -- he is a full-fledged narcissist and I'm sure he has burned all his professional bridges. Please go somewhere else! I cut my own hair during the COVID-19 lockdown and honestly did a better job and it didn't cost me $200.
