    Great car selection! Clean and well serviced. I'll be back June 2nd to rent another! Staff is very friendly too.

    What sets off a rent a car place from its competitors ? Well, customer service of course. This…read moreplace is outstanding in that area. Ivan has always been kind, courteous, and proffesional in all my dealings, which is usually several times per month because of my job. Abigail is OUTSTANDING as well. She goes way above and beyond to help customers and answer questions. She takes time to check the car out and identify features and others items around each individual vehicle. Recently I handed a car in on a Friday evening and woke up Saturday and could not find a small cross body bag that I had. I was really worried as it contained personal items I needed. I was out of the area, but called as soon as they opened. Abigail went and looked for me as the car was still there. Not only " looked" which would have produced nothing ( I am pretty thorough at drop off ) , she dug in and found my bag. Somehow it wedged itself down into the spare tire area and would not have been found if she was not so thorough in trying to help out. I picked up my bag that day and really cannot express my gratitude for people like her who take pride in their jobs and go that extra mile. I can rent from any place I choose to , but will continue to come here as long as their are employees like Abigail and Ivan.

    I attempted to rent a minivan from this location and had a very concerning experience with an…read moreemployee named Salem. Before I signed any paperwork, my credit card was already charged. When I was later given the rental agreement, I noticed optional insurance coverage had already been added and marked as accepted, with initials requested afterward. When I questioned the charges and stated that I did not want the optional insurance, Salem told me that the insurance "had to be charged because it was the holiday" and implied this was how totals were increased. When I refused to sign for coverage I did not authorize, I was told to "get my stuff and leave." When I attempted to ask additional questions about the charge already placed on my card, he threatened to call the police. At no point should a customer be charged for optional coverage before consent and signatures are provided. I am currently working with the corporate office to address the issue and dispute the unauthorized charge. Salem said he was the manager so i doubt anything will be corrected there I ultimately went to Enterprise instead, where they handled the rental professionally and got me taken care of immediately.

They lie and take money that doesn't not belong to you. And there cars are not reliable. I went out of town to see family the A/c went out the second day we had it, they replaced it with the same car and gave me a day free rental. I ended up having to stay an extra day of the rental extension and called to ask if I can use that free coupon got told I could and then when I returned the vehicle the following day they told me I cannot use it and that I had to call customer service customer service explain to me why I couldn't use it but went ahead and offered to go ahead and still give me that day free due to the fact that it was a family emergency they'd also told me that they would refunding me my deposit whenever I had yet still get my refund I have called multiple times and repeatedly got a different reason why I was being charged an additional $77 first it was for the mileage it was an unlimited mileage vehicle then it was well you got an upgrade we did not get an upgrade then I got told that I was being charged for the day that I kept it which was already given to me for free and refunded my money for that when I spoke to a manager he also told me that it was for the additional day that I kept the vehicle I said that makes no sense because I was already given that day for free and it was being charged off of my card and refunded back to my card he told me that I did not understand what he was saying but I clearly did not only did they charge me once but they were charging me twice for the additional day that I was told that since it was a family emergency that I'd be able to get it for free they are still not releasing my deposit and they are still charging me the additional $77 I would not recommend this company to anybody especially if you have enough family emergency and they promise to give you the discounted a day.

They…read moreare not your typical, fancy car dealership, with the sales team vultures stalking and swirling around you. The owner, John Phillips, is an honest man, just trying to make a living. I found the car online and had to drive from Galveston to Hutto to go get it. John held the car for me for 2-3 days until I could get out there; even though, he had other offers on it. When we got there, he handed me the keys, and allowed us to test drive the car by ourselves, trusting us to come back. Neither him, nor his friend and co-worker, Mike, bothered us while we were looking at the car, checking for damage, making sure all the buttons, lights, etc. worked; and that the car was in good condition. They were actually helpful and answered all of our questions with no pressure. They were no hassle, straight-up, and to the point. Not to mention, they gave us a great deal on the price!!! They made the car buying process quick and painless, in fact, it was a very pleasant experience. He even offered to take care of us, if any issues happened after we purchased the car. Additionally, they recommended a cute cafe for us to eat at afterwards, which was delicious and another pleasant experience. Needless to say, it was well worth the long drive to Hutto, and we will definitely be purchasing our next car from them. It is rare to find genuine, honest, good people like John and Mike. I called and left a message Monday morning and received a call back from the owner, John Phillips. I pass by his lot every day coming and going and noticed that he always seemed to have lots of nice looking stock on hand. I was in the market for a late model Infiniti and noticed that he had several on hand. When John called me back, I delivered my typical "This ain't my first rodeo speech," so as to let him know that I was not going to be a push over. John was very humble and friendly, it was immediately apparent to me that working with him was going to be fun and easy. After speaking on the phone a few times, curiosity finally got the better of me and I stopped by after work. John is a man's man who loves to talk about fishing and his kids, and we got along famously. He presented me with several options, and earned my trust by revealing several aspects of the deal that are normally kept from customers. It was an educational experience, even for someone like me whose bought several cars and has friends who have their dealers license. The car had some minor imperfections, but John made some calls and got me taken care of. As it turns out, this is not his first rodeo either and he is incredibly well connected, and apparently incredibly influential with his business contacts as he was able to get me some nice freebies and discounts. Having purchased 10 cars since moving to Austin, most of them at Austin Infiniti, I had a good basis for comparison for rating a car buying experience. John and Texas Auto Ranch are far and away the best I've ever encountered, and because of integrity, his personality, and his willingness to go above and beyond, he's earned a customer for life. Here are some pointers: 1. Call him first to find out if he has what you want, or visit his website. 2. He may be able to find what you want if he doesn't already have it. 3. Be nice and you'll be amazed at the level of service you receive. 4. Give John a shot at your financing even if you already have your own lined up. He could have saved me some money, as it turns out. 5. Compare his prices to anyone in town; you'll be amazed. 6. Tell him that you contacted him because of his YELP page, so he'll believe me when I tell him it will actually increase his sales.
