I brought my 2026 Ram 2500 diesel in because the rear ParkSense system suddenly started falsely detecting an object directly behind the truck every time I put it in reverse. The truck immediately beeps and shows an obstacle in the center even when nothing is there. The dealership insisted my receiver hitch was causing the problem. That explanation never made sense because I have owned this truck since November 6th of last year with the exact same hitch setup and had never experienced this issue until recently. The hitch also flips underneath the truck and is not even visible when stored. I repeatedly explained this to Louise, the service director, and even suggested a simple test: install a similar hitch on another new Ram truck to see whether the issue could be recreated. Instead of testing their theory, the dealership continued insisting the hitch was the problem. After picking my truck up, I removed the hitch myself and recorded a video clearly showing that the exact same ParkSense problem still exists even with the hitch completely removed. I sent the video directly to Louise, and I still have not received a response. At that point, rather than acknowledging the possibility of a faulty sensor, moisture intrusion, software issue, or an incomplete diagnosis, I was essentially told to lose their number and take my vehicle somewhere else because they did not want to continue discussing the issue. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have purchased four vehicles from this dealership over the years. I previously removed another negative review after Louise helped resolve a separate issue following the sale of this truck. I genuinely gave this dealership another opportunity because of that prior experience. Unfortunately, this situation was handled very differently. Instead of receiving a professional diagnosis and reasonable customer service, I was dismissed, blamed for the issue, and ultimately forced to seek service elsewhere after proving their original diagnosis was incorrect. I expected significantly better treatment and professionalism from a dealership that has earned this much of my business over the years. After this experience, I will not be returning.

UPDATE: A Quick Clarification for the GM…read more Ben, I appreciate your corporate response, but I am not going to let you rewrite the facts to make it look like I misunderstood the situation. I have the physical window stickers and text message timestamps that prove the following: * The Phantom Car: Your team handed me a window sticker for a specific VIN and told me it was on your Lakeline lot. I tracked that exact VIN to Kia South Austin, who confirmed they owned it and had already sold it to an individual the day before. * The Unreliable Stickers: To make matters worse, when we questioned a feature on the vehicle, your manager pointed directly to the window sticker and explicitly told me that the vehicles sometimes don't match the stickers exactly. Misrepresenting or failing to adhere to a federally mandated Monroney window sticker is completely illegal under the Automobile Information Disclosure Act. [1, 2] * The Text Timestamps: John ghosted me on Saturday afternoon--not Sunday--when I texted at 1:10 PM and 1:39 PM asking for the name of the warranty. He never replied. * The 6-Month Contract Lie: Your manager explicitly told me the financing contract required me to keep the loan open for 6 months before paying it off. That is false. Texas law prohibits auto finance contracts from penalizing early prepayment. Your manager only claimed it was in the contract to protect the dealership from losing its finance kickback commission. * The Hidden Invoice: If the invoice was legitimate, please explain why your manager strictly forbade me from taking a smartphone photo of it. I didn't write this to debate you. I wrote it to warn other buyers. I went to Kia South Austin, skipped the games, and had my exact car and wholesale warranty sorted out in 24 hours. Your facilities are top-notch, Ben, but your sales team's transparency needs to catch up.

Right from the jump, he was incredibly straightforward. There was zero pressure, zero hassle, and absolutely no need to waste time haggling over the price. He gave it to us straight, which is so rare and refreshing in the car-buying world. Our Finance Manager, Michael was equally amazing. Financing a vehicle can usually feel like pulling teeth, but Michael made it a breeze. He was efficient, thorough, and just a great guy to talk to. I still can't believe it, but we spent a grand total of only three hours at the dealership. That included the test drive of three used Sequoias, picking the one we liked out of the three, the vehicle inspection, and getting all the final paperwork squared away with finance. We've all heard or experienced the horror stories of spending 6 to 8 hours at a dealership, but Chris and Michael valued our time and had us on the road in a flash. What stood out to us the most was the sheer respect we received. Walking into dealerships can sometimes feel intimidating, but Chris and Michael provided a truly delightful customer experience without a single ounce of judgment or prejudice. They treated us like family from the moment we walked through the doors. We love our new (used) Sequoia Capstone and we can recommend Toyota of Cedar Park without a doubt. Go see (ask for) Chris and Michael they will take incredible care of you! Now the great part of the experience we learned Chris was a veteran like ourselves. But unfornalutely he served in the Navy, my wife and I are both Army veterans. Go Army! Beat Navy!!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Covert Ford of Austin…read more To start with the positive, my salesperson, Mike, was great. Unfortunately, the problems began when I got to finance with Kyle. At the very beginning of the process, I specifically told Kyle that I did not want a non-Ford service contract. I told him clearly that I only wanted a Ford ESP. While reviewing the paperwork before signing, I noticed that Kyle had included a third-party contract through Portfolio One. I immediately pointed it out and said, "Kyle, I do not want this contract. I want a Ford contract." His response was essentially that they were the same thing and that the Portfolio One contract was cheaper. I was very clear about what I wanted, yet the contract I specifically told them I did not want was included in my paperwork. I was told I would have a Ford ESP, and I have a signed Ford ESP contract included on the USB drive provided to me by the finance department. I have now been waiting over two months for my Ford ESP to become active. After approximately three weeks of trying to get someone at Covert to give me a straight answer, I finally spoke with a very nice young man who informed me that I do not have an active Ford ESP and that, instead, I have an active Portfolio One contract. That was quite a surprise, considering I specifically declined the Portfolio One contract and have a signed Ford ESP contract in my possession. I have now requested a call from management for three consecutive business days and, as of today, nobody from management has bothered to contact me. This isn't about a misunderstanding over paperwork. I was very clear about what I wanted from the beginning, I caught the third-party contract before signing, specifically rejected it, and was still apparently left with that contract while the Ford ESP I was told I was getting never became active. Covert Ford of Austin needs to explain how this happened and why it has been so difficult to get someone in management to address it. I would strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle here carefully review every piece of paperwork before signing, especially when it comes to service contracts and warranties. Don't assume that the product you specifically requested is the product actually being put on your account.
