Exovations was recommended by a friend since he had a really good experience. I had a great experience with the Exovations person who came out to do the quote. It's when I got the quote that things went to bad. I decided to wait to write this until I had a few other quotes. Exovations was almost double in their price than any other painting company! Upfront I had asked for an itemized quote and instead I received one very large number and that was it! These guys are awesome! John Nicholson was my sales rep and he was extremely helpful in getting us a design for a porch and deck within our budget. I cannot say how great and awesome my project manager, Tony Fricks, was. He came out about 2 months before our project was to start and walked through everything and had specific dates about how and when things would get done. More importantly, he knows how to communicate and you always know where your project stands - he calls everyday, even when there is no work scheduled to be done that day to check in and make sure you are at ease. Unlike a kitchen company that we hired and had to summarily fire for awful work, the opposite is true of Exovations! They did very high quality work!! I would use them again in a heartbeat if we have another significant outdoor project. read more

I recently had a new porch addition, new roof, rotted siding replaced and paint on the entire house. Crews cleaned up every evening, they were polite, courteous and on time. I was about to contract with them and at the last minute I changed my mind and I'm glad that I did. The sales person talks a good game but I don't trust her. She gave a quote and then when I asked her to remove an item from the quote, the price stayed the same. She tried to play the old "shell game" but it did not work on me. From a quote perspective, Exovations prices were much higher that the other 2 quotes that I received. This company tries to have a squeaky clean presentation with knowledgeable salespersons but the sales people are greedy and play games. I would NOT trust them. read more

We are very pleased with the job Exovations did for us. Great sales guy Scott worked with us to get everything we needed. We had an awesome project manager, Chris Campbell. He's friendly, efficient and on top of everything. Chris even pushed my husband in his wheelchair around the entire house so he could take a look for himself when the job was finished. Our house is on a hill and it was 92° out. That's above and beyond his duties. So glad he was our project manager. He's just an awesome guy! Great crew as well. We recently had a new roof, windows, deck and painting done on our home. I went through a variety of contracters and quotes to find Exovations. They were the most professional, detailed and thorough in the quoting process. The price was right and when the work began we were truly amazed. EXOVATIONS® Cumming, GA Contractor Place details John Thomas 3 days ago I cannot comment about the quality of Exovations' work but their business integrity is one star or lower. Exovations did an outdoor paint job at my neighbors house using paint sprayers. My car which was parked across the street ended up with a fine mist of paint on the side and top of the car which was confirmed by Classic Collisions. I took the car to Hennessy Lexus who agreed that it was paint and did a deep sand detail of the car. Fortunately that was all that was needed. The detail cost $250. Rather than file an insurance claim, I chose to call Exovations and ask that they pay part of the cost. I told the owner that I would bear some of the responsibility of the damage because I did park my car at the street even though the painters never informed me they were spray painting that day. The owner of Exovation was rude, accepted no blame or responsibility and hung up on me. I was polite on the phone, never cussing or raising my voice.. I live in a fairly large neighborhood and I hope that no one uses this company. A company that does not own up to their mistakes won't ever be successful. We moved into our house, originally built in 1978, about 5 years ago- we've completely remodeled inside and out - and have dealt with great contractors and awful ones. When we decided to replace the vinyl siding and gutters on the house we didn't want to chance a bad experience. We checked references and went and looked at several jobs by several contractors and ended up going with Exovations. Before they even started, they gave us an illustration of our house with the changes we were looking to make - this was extremely helpful to get an idea of the finished product before committing to it! They did a fantastic job. They assigned us a project manager who kept us up-to-date throughout the process. Materials arrived on time, work crews were polite and cleaned up the job site each day - and the project completed on time and right at budget. We bought our door 9 years ago and it was beautiful. We told the salesman that the door gets a lot of sunlight and gets really hot and we wanted a door that would last. A year later the front door and is falling apart. We contacted them and they came out and put a new door in for us - great. Eight years later the door and the entire doorframe and side windows are all falling apart and water comes through the door when it rains. I have been in contact with Christine at Exovations and she sent someone out to look at the door and said they would get back with us because if was a manufacturer problem, not there's. It has been a month and we haven't heard nothing from them. We have called several times with the same response that there waiting on the manufacturer to call back. I am trying to sell my house and can't because I am still waiting to here back from them... read more

If you look on Kudzu, this company has over 700 reviews! We replaced our entire siding with hardiplank and cedar shake. Their work was exceptional and detailed! Unlike other contractors, you do not have to supervise their work. The project manager was easy to communicate with. You do not have to argue or dispute over any issues. My husband has flipped a lot of houses and this is by far the best renovation company! They finish on time! I wish that they offered full service for other projects we need in the future. This company came highly recommended from a friend. That was the only positive thing about my experience with Exovations. To start, their salesman added in $6000 to the price that he could not account for when he was called out on it. After that was fixed and the work began, the construction crew was supposed to replace several pieces of siding and we were told that they could "easily match" our current siding. They were also supposed to replace any facia that was found to be bad while removing the gutters. AFTER the construction guys put the siding on, I was told they were done so I went to check it out. The siding was nowhere close to matching. The project manager came out and looked at it and said that they could not get the siding to match what was currently on the house and that the only way to get the rest of the house to match was to do the entire house.....at our expense, of course. Also, on that first day, I noticed that some of the work that we agreed to on the contract had not been done. Facia was not replaced, gutters were not removed, etc. The construction crew even took the liberty to use some of my Hardiplank that I had sitting on my back deck to frame out the sliding glass door. Keep in mind, that was not supposed to be Hardiplank, but cedar (like the rest of the house). Even the installation of MY Hardiplank looked awful. The boards were crooked and installed on top of existing siding which left large gaps for water to pour into. So, after the construction crew left, I noticed a large amount of rusty nails lying around on the back deck (my dog found one and ate it). The construction crew also left behind the few gutters that they did remove. On the front of the house, there were pieces of board that the construction crew had to remove in order to add some pieces of facia. Two of those boards were broken during removal and then put back up on my house broken. It was obvious that the boards were broken because they were splintered and then added back to the house. After several days and several ignored calls, Exovations delivered a stack of siding to my house that was going to be fabricated on site to match. The following day, another truck showed up and started loading up the wood that was supposed to be used. After talking to the new project manager, we were told that there was some confusion. On the day they were supposed to start to begin construction again, the crew was a no-show for the week. They also no-showed again the following Monday. The next day they showed up and installed the new siding and left all of the siding they removed sitting by my trash can along with the other gutters they removed. On Thursday, after the proper siding was installed, the pressure washing crew showed up and pressure washed. While pressure washing the front of the house, they knocked off a piece of siding and never told me or the project manager and the next day they just painted over it with nails sticking out and all. The following day the painters showed up and other than painting over the missing piece of siding from the pressure washers, that went well. Next, there was an issue where at some point during the painting process, my garage door was damaged. The moment we sent a picture to the project manager, he began making excuses about how the damage was done. Keep in mind, he was not there.....he only saw a texted close up photo of the damage. The cause of the damage is still in question, but they did fix it. After meeting with the project manager one day, he seemed more concerned with how much material he was having to buy as opposed to making the job right. When we discussed him replacing my Hardiplank that his crew had used, he made the comment, "well, let me see how much facia I'm going to have to buy first". Needless to say, the Hardiplank was never replaced. After the project was finished we met with the project managers boss. At that meeting, he assured us that they would "make it right". He did nothing but make notes of our issues. At the end of the day, they turned a 2 1/2 week project into a 7 week project. After speaking with the owner, we were initially told that they would complete some additional work at no cost to "make it right". After they determined that it would be too much work they decided to take a WHOPPING $355 off of our final bill. Our cost went from $11,800 down to $11,445. I guess that's their version of "making it right". I have photos of the work and left behind garbage. If anyone cares to see it, just ask and I'll be more than happy to share them. I felt like every time a crew came out to do any work, there was an issue that I had to bring to the project managers attention and even when I brought it to his attention, I had to remind him repeatedly to get it fixed. I wish this site allowed reviewers to give zero stars because that it what they earned. read more

No apologies, no explanations, they just don't show up. I chose this company because I thought it would be a smooth install, it is not. We requested a quote for remodeling a sunroom. One of their salespersons came out on a Saturday and had to have their construction manager come out later in the week in order to offer a proper quote. That was totally ok. Understandably they needed to know the scope of work before writing a proposal. The salesperson confirmed the construction manager had come out and we would recieve the quote in a fee days. Its now been over a month and still no quote. We've reached out, and the response is "I feel like I've sent the quote 20 times" yet it's nowhere to be seen. I even asked them to copy a second email address in case I was having a problem with my email address. Nothing. If your company can't handle our project, is not interested, or other.... tell us! We are scheduling contractors who rely on the previous project to be complete, and dragging my quote out for over a month puts our project behind, costing us time and money. I wonder how they would feel if I sent them an invoice for money/time lost? read more

We called Exovations in early November for a chimney siding job and had a pleasant experience with Chris in sales. He was friendly and knowledgeable and the quote given seemed fair. The follow up visit with the project manager Ken was quick - he spent about 5 minutes with us and said scaffolding would be needed and the quote would need to be changed. He said we would be hearing from him with a new quote and then sat outside of our home for almost an hour. A month and a half has gone by and we didn't hear anything from Ken. I even filled out a survey asking for a manager to contact me and nothing. A few weeks later I decided to call Chris - he was able to pull up the quote right away! So the quote was done. The price went up $1600 for ONE DAY of scaffolding. The fact that is was needed in the first place was questionable. Chris didn't catch it and we've had plenty of roofers use ladders with no problem. Secondly, the 25% increase in price is ridiculous. And on top of that, having to contact them multiple times and them being completely unresponsive. Don't bother doing the survey, they don't read it or don't care. I would not recommend doing business with this company. read more

The only reason that I did not give them a 5 (and why I did not actually get the work done by them) is because they are VERY expensive. I have never used Exovations but was appalled by their advertisement on the radio. They actually instill fear to generate business. Their add said that door to door roofing salesmen cause countless people to have their insurance policies cancelled. Their add says to call them when a door to door sales comes knocking. Truth is that door to door roofing salesmen only knock on your door if there has been a storm in the area. If you file a claim based on their recommendation then no, your insurance company WILL NOT cancel your policy. That is a blatant LIE! My question is this, if a company is willing to lie to gain your business, then what else will they lie to you about in their sales pitch. Be more afraid of this company than any door to door guy. At least the door to door guy is willing to work to gain your business instead of lie for it! read more
