We used them to insulate our attic. We were told they would install baffles, which they didn't. We have called, left messages, emails. They never reply or call you back. They were supposed to call before they did the work. They didn't. They showed up at 7:45am unannounced. We were trying to get the Georgia Power rebate. Can you guess? I never got the opportunity to work with Woodman Insulation so I cannot comment on the quality of their workmanship, only on the frustrating experience of simply trying to get a quote. I wanted to get insulation installed in my attic, and a contractor that I use regularly and highly trust recommended Woodman so I called and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate. The estimator, Bennett, came out on time, took the necessary measurements, explained to me what their general recommendation is for insulation compared to the basic requirements, and advised that he would email me a quote by the next morning. When I hadn't received an email by the following afternoon, I called him to make sure he got my email address right. He explained that he had the quote ready for me, but that he was concerned about whether the truck would be able to navigate my long, narrow driveway. I explained to him that we'd recently renovated the house and large work trucks and delivery trucks were able to get up and down it without an issue, but he said he wanted to check on it and that I would have the estimate by the following morning (a Friday). By Monday I still had not gotten anything, so I called the office. The operator advised me to call Bennett directly again, so I did. He told me he was "pulling up to the office right now" to check on the truck situation and I would have the quote shortly. THREE more days went by without an email. I called Bennett again and left a voicemail, but he did not call me back. I called the office again and explained that I had been waiting over a week for an estimate and still had not gotten one. The operator was very sympathetic and told me that someone would call me back that day. No one did. The operator called me the following day to see if I had heard from anyone and when I told her I had not, she explained that Bennett was no longer employed with the company and that another rep, Jesse, would be reaching out to me. Jesse called me shortly thereafter and explained that unfortunately, they did not have any of Bennett's notes so they would have to come back out to take new measurements for the estimate. Since it was getting close to the holidays by this time, we scheduled the appointment for 10AM on January 5th. I then told Jesse that Bennett had been concerned about the driveway and he said he would assess it when he came out. Fast forward to January 5th - 10:45AM rolls around and I have not heard from Jesse. I called the office again and explained that now I have been trying to get an estimate from them for nearly a month and now the estimator has no-showed. The operator placed me on hold to reach out to Jesse, then came back and told me that we had not scheduled an appointment. I explained that we had, and that it was for that day, as I had taken notes from our conversation. She told me Jesse would call me directly. When Jesse did call me, he was immediately on the defensive, claiming that we did not make an appointment since he had to look into the driveway situation. I reminded him that we had made the appointment before I even mentioned the driveway, and he said he would look at it when he came out here. He then offered a fake apology ("Sorry if I miscommunicated, but..") and proceeded to go on and on about how far away my home was from their office and how inconvenient it was for them to get out there (I am in Ellenwood, they are on the north side). At no point in any of my prior communications with this company did anyone mention that Ellenwood was outside of their service area. Jesse then told me he was going to consult with Jeff, the owner, and call me back. When he did, he explained that given the distance and my driveway (which no one still employed with the company had actually bothered to look at) they would not be able to come out and give me a quote. In summary, I highly recommend Woodman if you are interested in wasting a month of your life, but not if you actually want to get any service. read more

NO, NO, NO. Run away. They quoted a residential job and about a month later I contacted them to schedule. They moved it out from the first scheduled day, and then when the crew arrived on the new date said they didn't have the right hose to blow the insulation. Another crew was to come the next day, and when they arrived they said they didn't have enough hose either (no one told them how much they would need). They rescheduled a third time before Christmas, and called the night before to cancel, blaming it on a broken truck. Said they would call back to reschedule between the holidays - they didn't. Said they were busy with commitments to builders at year end. Said they would call after the 1st - they didn't. I called this morning to give a final chance and they said they would call back - they didn't. They claimed to have multiple crews but they behave like a one truck company, only worse. At least with a one truck outfit, the guy that commits does the work. It seems they do work with builders of new housing and residential owners are the lowest priority possible. The woman that does the scheduling is pleasant and attempts to be professional, but she is unable to make commitments. And get this. The first time it was scheduled, they sent a curt email the night before saying that I had to have a check for payment in full to the crew. "No check, no install" No good morning, no asking me how I intended to pay, no explanation of any company policy, no thank you for your business. At this point I'd be hesitant to even let them in my house. Who knows the quality of the work they would do. And with the attitude they have shown, do they really think I'd want to pay them in full before the do the work? They claim to have been in business since 1986 - how is that possible?! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. Not only did they not show up and not bother calling to tell me, when they showed up 2 days late they didn't insulate everything needed. When I contacted them they acted as if they could care less. I spoke to a supervisor with the same crappy attitude. I also requested a quote for gutters and they never called me back. I would strongly advise to look elsewhere. Estimate process was straightforward and the technician was helpful but when it came to the actual process of scheduling and conducting the insulation installation it was a total failure. I was told that the install would be done in one day and take 4 hours. A week later i received a call that this was inaccurate and it would actually take 3 separate visits and they were having issue with sourcing the correct materials. I had adjusted my work schedule to accommodate the 1 day install so this was already a problem. On the install day (1 of 3), no one showed up at the scheduled early morning time - after repeated calls and endless waiting on hold - i was told that the "delivery truck" with the insulation was late... 5 hours late! And i could switch materials or we would need to reschedule. Unacceptable - also would like to add that at no time was i contacted about any of these issues on the install day and it was only after I conducted repeated calls was i able to understand what was going on and angrily insist that someone find out the issue. Fairly confident they had completely forgotten that it was scheduled. I would be cautious in working with them. I canceled my install and am looking for a new vendor... read more

I have never actually written a review about anything in my life but the amount of aggravation in dealing with this company prompted me to do this for the first time. Our remodeling company used them as a sub contractor and had a similar experience as the other review. The estimator did a good job at coming out to look at the job and estimate it but it all fell apart after that. They never showed up on the day they said they would. No one called to communicate. They finally showed up 3 day late at 7.00pm on a Friday night to do the install in a private gated community. Even if we wanted to let them do the install the community would not let them due the working hours. They threw our project a week behind schedule and made our organization look incompetent. At one stage I was so frustrated that I tried to reach the owner of the company and he would not call me back. All business look to their owners to set an example of how they treat customers and do business. I'm not surprised that company is a mess when the owner is just as lazy and disorganized as their employees. I know our business are tough given the amount of organization that goes into running them but there is no excuse for poor communication and dishonesty. I would rather hear that you can't make it for a week rather than thinking that things will get done and people never showing up. Just another example of contractors making people in our industry look like a bunch or uneducated rednecks. read more
