I had no say in when the companion would visit, for how long, or what would happen. Apparently this is standard for Elder Concierge. Had the expectations been presented to me in a clearer, more precise manner- communication- the issues could have been avoided. As someone new to the hiring of a companion, I needed to be walked through situation. So rather than gaining some comfort for my aunt and myself, I am now left with no one for her, and I am extremely frustrated. (The COMPANION was WONDERFUL.) I also cannot imagine I am the only client who has asked to be included in the loop before, during, and after the visits. If you are making the decisions, both financial and otherwise, for a loved one, this is not the place for you.

Again he got incensed at the fact that I would suggest where to tell him to drop me. He was very rude. He turned around and brought me home and told me to take a taxi! I paid these jerks $85. for pure aggravation after a medical ordeal when all I wanted was some common courtesy and to go home and relax. This company is a nightmare waiting for another chance to happen - and that is absolutely not going to happen to me again. A cavalier attitude focused on producing revenue with no common courtesy, apology or understanding. Fortunately for him, we did not require much travel accept to and from the Olympic Center and hotel On the morning of my first shoot, Ray had an argument with his girlfriend and was late taking me to the Olympic Center. Fortunately, the shooting event started late so I technically made it in time. I was a bit frazzled, but I still shot okay. All other scheduled drives were on time. His prices were a bit high, but I was satisfied with his service and I intended to use Denver Amulet for future shooting events in Colorado. Our final trip was a ride to Aspen to participate in the Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. I found on the morning of that he mis-quoted the cost of the trip to Aspen by quite a bit. Before traveling to Aspen, we looked at his laptop to confirm that the quote he provided me was actually in his system. He countered and said he would be losing money if I paid him the actual quote provided. (I am leaving out the actual dollar amounts). I reluctantly paid the additional cost, and we made it to Aspen safely. A couple times, we asked him to put the phone down while driving and he eventually complied. Ray is a great guy, and easy to speak with. He successfully took me to all my scheduled destinations. The missed quote to Aspen didn't sit well with me so I will be looking for transportation with other companies.
