Having only been to two of the four main Disney World parks, I only had one day and had to decide which park. My son and I narrowed it down to HS or AK. I ended up choosing AK mainly for this ride. I have wanted to ride Expedition Everest for years! My son and I booked a LL for around 1pm, We got there during our 1 hour window. The line was about 15 minutes, much better than the 60 minutes advertised for the stand by lane. There is no indoor (AC) queuing area so I'm glad it was a quick wait. We were to the back of the cars, which didn't bother me. The ride was so much better and more fun that I thought. I was honestly a little nervous as I've noticed as I've gotten older, I don't love huge drops anymore, but wow, loved it!!! I especially loved the portion when the cars go backwards. My son hated that part, but I would have been happy if the whole ride was backwards. This ended up being my favorite ride of the day and I wish I could have ridden multiple times.

Inside the ride, where we stopped when thunderstorm closed the ride. Dang! So close.

    I. LOVE. This. Ride. Thankfully Husband indulges my love for it by accompanying me for the first ride, and acquiesces when I please, please, PLEASE request a second ride when the line is nonexistent to return for that extra ride. But he has his limits, and a third ride is out of the question. Expedition Everest is a roller coaster that affords a magnificent view of Animal Kingdom as you go up and up to see the Yeti tear apart the tracks. It is thrilling to go backwards AND forwards. The front seat is the best, unless you like the snap the whip effect of the back - and I do! I look forward to riding it again when we rerun at the end of April 2025.

When I think of Disney and my childhood I'm always brought back to this ride--a true classic. It was one of the first thrill seeks rides that I was brave enough to go on and to this day I still get the same enjoyment. One of the best parts about this ride is the line is typically under 30 minutes and it's a decent length for a rollercoaster! I love the build and anticipation this ride gives on your emotions and the play on your mind. One of the worst parts is the ride is outside and with Florida showers it often gets delayed which is a down fall.

Track appears to be in shambles! You'll have to ride to find out what happens next

Great ride- we rode it twice (thank you lightning lane) We thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend riding.

This was my absolute favorite ride in Animal Kingdom! Although, I have to warn you. That very first climb is very high & steep. You may not want to look down if you're afraid of heights. Haha! It was a very chilly morning after a cold front. What does that mean? Well, it means that you may not want this in your rope drop strategy as your first choice on a very cold morning. It needs multiple test rides without passengers just to be safe. It didn't even open until just before our 8am-ish time slot, with early entry at 7:30am that day. We were aboard our Expedition vehicle in no time. I didn't really have enough time to worry about motion and height. What I will say is that it gave me GOTG: Cosmic Rewind vibes during the backwards ride on the way down. It was the sudden bumpy twists and turns that made me realize it was different. It's not a smooth ride at all. Lol! I quickly laid my head back on the headrest to prevent any jerking motions, and watched as everything passed by so quickly. My husband didn't seem to love that part. I heard him say, "Thiiiiis Suuucks" on the way down. I'm pretty sure that I saw the Yeti twice. It was one time on a screen in a dark part of the mountain. Then, a second time above us. He's looking down at us before leaving the mountain. He looked monstrous at that point. Maybe not as scary as it once was when it was moving (it doesn't appear to move anymore), but it's fun to look for him. The Yeti sightings are real on this ride. I would most definitely ride this one again. It's Lightning Lane worthy in my opinion. It's not just a roller coaster ride. It has a story, and some very cool elements. You'll see that as you make your way into the mountain range. A must when you're visiting Animal Kingdom.

Expedition Everest!! Best ride in the park!!

BEST, MOST EXCITING roller coaster ride at Animal Kingdom! It's a MUST ride while at the park ! They run 4 or 5 cars at a time, so the line moves quickly!! Fun, FAST, Dark, forward and BACKWARDS!! It's a BLAST!!

    From a bit away!

Fun roller coaster, probably best and only other ride you really need to do after the soaring Avatar Flight of Passage ride here - highest but not the craziest initial drops, easy to keep your pack inside the coaster, and you have a mini story around the yeti and you'll go up, down, around, and also backward at one point! A lot of fun, my little one loved it and wanted to go again. There's a single rider line that can get you through if you don't mind breaking up the party. Or get the Genie+ and you can get through in five minutes! Line isn't too bad later in the day (as most people hop to another location, there aren't fireworks at night in this park).

Expedition Everest is located in Disney World's Animal Kingdom. You can't miss it because of the huge Mt. Everest prop towering over. The drop was very steep and it even went backward too. This ride looked cool and was a super cool rollercoaster ride too.

Expedition Everest is a Disney animal Kingdom roller coaster and thrill ride that is located towards the back of the park and features a beautiful snow mountain scene for the ride and coaster track. The coaster which is one of the very few roller coasters across the Disney parks is a yeti themed ride. Not based off any movies or shows (be cute to do the snow monster from monsters inc maybe if they decide to commercialize it more) but is still I'd say one of the my kids top 5 rides across all 4 Disney parks. The height requirement is not that tall for a roller coaster which means it has been a few of my kids first ever roller coaster experience and it is a fun one. You ride through the track of the beautiful snow mountain theme and encounter the yeti through caves and eventually a broken track! The. The coaster hits reverse and the thrills really begin. Overall a very fun and popular ride that tells a cute and fun story while riding it. Also while being very popular the wait lines are never too crazy. Maybe 45 min at its peak on most our visits but you can time it right and have less then 10 minutes throughout the day.

We did not drink around the world - because it was just too hot and miserable to spend our day drinking. We luckily visited during the Flower & Garden Festival and there were so many Disney characters made out of Flowers or Shrubs. It was really cool to see. We walked through the different towns from around the world. We went into the aquarium portion, watched them feed the manatees and saw the large tank with sharks, large fish, huge manta rays as well as sea turtles. We rode the the Finding Nemo ride that goes through an under portion of that aquarium that you can see from the viewing platform. We were unable to get on Guardians of the Galaxy ride sadly, but the wait time was over 2 hours and for some reason my single ride fast pass did not work when purchasing. We really enjoyed the Ratatouille ride and France town within Epcot. I would love to check out Epcot when it is less hot and humid to full enjoy it. After 3 days of walking and 92+ with 50% humidity we were both dying and wanting to go relax.

TRON Lightcycle Run is a newer ride. The launch and banking through the light cycle sequence made for a great experience for those who want the thrill of a coaster but not too intense. Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are the two classic attractions that held up best for me as an adult, and they are worth experiencing regardless of how familiar you are with them. I had heard from locals that it's a great local option over the big theme parks. Fun Spot was pretty great, for what it was. Free parking, free admission if you don't plan on riding rides, also a discounted adult pass if you only are going on rides with your kid who is too young to ride alone. The whole place was small, maybe the area of a handful of city blocks. And on the Sunday afternoon when we went, the place was quiet enough that we never waited more than a few minutes to get onto a ride. As we were only there for a couple hours, the cashier recommended the 4 ride pass for my kids, and the companion pass for me. But if one were to spend more hours there, buying the day pass online for $59.95 is quite a bargain. Not all rides were open, but the "big" rides that most kids want (the roller coasters and the go carts) were open. My daughter, who is not a big roller coaster fan, had a harder time finding kiddie rides that she actually wanted to go on, and she watched the go carts and didn't even want to try those with me driving. However, the place was small enough that I felt fine leaving my 10 year old son to go on rides by himself while I went on the Ferris wheel or the merry go round with my 8 year old. There are a bunch of food options available throughout the park. They were definitely more affordable than Disney prices! Most of the places offered souvenir cups with discounted refills, but there were also water stations set up throughout with free cups. I'd definitely come back if I had a few hours to burn and the kids didn't want to go swimming. Hopefully at some point, my daughter will change her mind about roller coasters, though!

There are only two rides here but they are among the park's most popular. There's Flight of Passage and then the Na'vi River Journey, with the former being much better than the latter. Both attractions always have super long lines, but I'm not so sure that's a sign of their overall quality more than the fact that AK doesn't have many rides to begin with. There are some Avatar-themed food options that are creative and the atmospheric music adds a lot to set the tone. This area of the park is newer so that also means it was well designed for crowd control and flow. It never seems overly crowded over here.

My two year old was probably a bit confused about what was going on when we climbed into our safari vehicle, and I'm not sure she was totally on board throughout the ride to be honest. Although we've been to Lincoln Park Zoo, she was very very young at the time and would not remember being this close to an animal that wasn't on the level of a dog, snake, or turtle. So whilst I think being mere feet from giraffes, elephants, and wildebeests was unexpected, she said she enjoyed it. The driver was informative and didn't make the embarrassing jokes that the "captain" of the Jungle Cruise did, for which I'm thankful. In addition to the aforementioned animals, we came across black and white rhinos, lions, hippos, cheetahs, flamingos, and more. The ride was leisurely and comfortable, and there's no height requirement so anyone can ride. This was a lot of fun to start our first visit to Disney World. It's a very popular ride, apparently. 45+ minute wait times are not uncommon. We used a lightning lane to cut through most of it but we did have to wait 10 minutes or so before we got on. I'd definitely recommend lightening lanes for this one!

The first thing we did when we entered Disney's Animal Kingdom was the Kilimanjaro Safari. She gave a great tour. The animals were active in the morning, so we saw most of them then. My toddler really loved the Safaris. It was a fantastic experience for both kids and adults.
