They said that was unacceptable and took it upon themselves to get the manufacturer to make it right. We got a brand new one as a result. The latest bit of praise is that I messed up a setting on the microwave I got there a while back and Steve, spent 45 minutes with me in the phone trying to fix it. When we had no luck , he emailed me my receipt, which I lost and set up a service call for me. This people is why I go to this store and not a big box. Service is everything when you need help with an expensive item.

They asked a few questions over the phone to get a basic idea of the problem(s). I wasn't entirely pleased at the cost of just the service call (~$100) but realized that it takes into account the knowledge of the tech and the rising costs of everything. The gentleman called to let me know he'd be at my home in about 20 minutes, and was early into my two-hour block of time. Thankfully the issue was able to be fixed on the spot and the tech had all the parts needed. The final price was very reasonable and I will gladly call this company again if needed.

They advised that due to the age of our washer, and the cost of the repairs, that it was better to just buy a new washer all together. The first time, Mike discovered a minor problem with our dryer and fixed it quickly. The second time, Mike was sent to try to fix a problem with our freezer and our oven. Mike diagnosed the issues with both very quickly. The most amazing part was that he had the parts to repair both. Mike fixed both appliances very quickly. The charges were very fair for parts and labor. Mike is very friendly and knowledgeable. The service we've received from Brian Doehler's Appliance Repair is fantastic. They're fast to arrive, diagnose and repair the issues we've had. The charges are reasonable and credit cards can be used. I highly recommend Brian and Mike for any appliance repairs you may need. They're the best in the business as far as I'm concerned.

James was supposed to come out to fix my LG Refrigerator on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. I contacted James that morning via text to provide him my husbands contact information as he would be home in order for the repair to be done. James texted me back 10 minutes later stating he had a migraine and was taking medication to try and get rid of it and he would follow up to let me know if he would be able to still arrive in the afternoon or if he would need to reschedule. I again asked James to reach out to my husband as he was the one working from home for James to do the repair. James never showed up, never called. I attempted to call and text James at 4:00 that day to reschedule. He did not answer nor did he return my calls. Today, through New Leaf Warranties, I was connected with James. As I was trying to express my frustration and need to get the repair done, James hung up the phone in the middle of my talking. When I tried to call back, James did not answer. This is very unprofessional to 1 not show up for schedule repairs and not contact customer to reschedule and 2 to hang up the phone when someone is speaking. I will never use Upstate Appliances in the future after this type of service.

There's an old saying that goes "Good and cheap isn't fast, good and fast isn't cheap, and cheap…read moreand fast isn't good. Somehow, The Appliance Shop was able to nail all three! I found a refurbished washing machine (that works great!) for under $200, and for a small delivery fee, they installed it and took my old machine away...the next day! They arrived at the early point in their delivery window, and the whole installation took about 15 minutes. I am absolutely pleased and can't say enough about my experience with The Appliance Shop!
