My…read moresalvage title process turned in a frustratingly long-term ordeal due to issues outside of their control & Christina went above and beyond EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. She was patient, responsive and genuinely invested in helping me navigate a situation created by government bureaucracy and ineptness that lasted over 45 days! Christina treated me with professionalism, kindness and a level of customer service that you just don't find these days. If you need a rebuilt inspection or assistance with the salvage title process, I HIGHLY recommend 1st Choice.

I am in St. Louis and called MyUsed Car Buddy to have a 2020 Nissan Rogue inspected over at…read moreHgreg.com West Palm Beach. Before the inspection I informed MyUsedCarBuddy that CarFax reported the car was in a "front end accident" and to please check for proper repair work. The inspector was pleasant to work with, a quick turnaround time and I received what I thought was a through report. However, the inspection missed several major defects that will cost over $7000.00 in repairs after I received my car a few weeks later in St. Louis. Since Hgreg.com only gives you 48 hours to discover the defects, I am stuck with the car. Here is what they missed: 1. The entire front end was loose. This because of shotty autobody repair work that reused damaged brackets to re-attach the front bumper. The left side of the front bumper wasn't even attached with a bracket, but instead epoxied back on which was visible - but missed by the inspector. (See attached picture). I noticed this immediately when I first started washing the car and the entire front end moved in and out with the slightest amount of pressure. The front-end molding was reported as "OK" on the MyUsedCarBuddy report. 2. The inspector never bothered to look underneath the front of the car. If he would have, he would have seen two large holes cut out of the front bumper where the shotty repair shop used the hole to stuff in parts of a spliced-up wiring harness again that should have been detected by the inspector. (See attached picture with hole circled in red). 3. The Inspector failed to see the engine electrical wiring harness had been spliced up and partially just retaped together. (See attached pictures). The proper repair should have been a brand-new wiring harness to replace the original harness damaged in the front-end accident. Cost of labor & materials for a new engine wiring harness - $4,000.00. 4. On my first drive of the car, I noticed immediately the turn signal was obviously flashing too quickly - not reported by the MyUsedCarBuddy inspector. He did report an air bag light remained on, but never reported the second turn signal electrical problem. This only should happen when a turn signal light is burned out - but the light wasn't burned out. Which should have been a second red flag that the inspector should have reported but failed to do so. The turn signals were reported as "OK" on the MyUsedCarBuddy" report. The cause was the spliced-up wiring harness the inspector missed in #2 & #3 above. 5. No inspection/ check of the car's computer. When I took the Rogue to a Nissan dealership in St. Louis, the mechanic found over 25 error messages reported on the cars computer not reported by the MyUsedCarBuddy inspector. Which included misalignment of front-end cameras & wiring harness errors. The computer diagnostics report on the MyUsedCarBuddy report was all "OK" with only one exception, the airbag light remained on. Beware of the language on the MyUsedCarBuddy website which says they will perform, " The mechanical inspection will focus on serviceable fluids, looking for areas of lack of maintenance, fluid leaks, fluid intermixing, modifications, visible leaks and missing items. A vehicle computer scan test when applicable." Which means one of two things. Either the inspector failed to do a computer check or the inspector's equipment is not capable of doing a proper computer check. Either one is not acceptable. Lastly, they obvious missed the "modifications" on the wiring harness and front-end molding. I learned two expensive lessons with this car purchase: 1. Never purchase a car that you personally cannot test drive and drive into a that car manufacturer's dealership and get a pre-purchase inspection. 2. Never purchase from Hgreg.com - their slogan is "we buy as is and we sell as is" and they are not kidding. They buy uninspected, uncertified junk and they sell junk without guarantee.
