Was looking for tailor closer to work. Called to ask for pricing on two standard alterations. Ismail refused to give pricing over phone. Said "just come in, you'll be happy." Chose to give it a try. Shop seemed charming at first but no pricing listed. Ismail came out and offered coffee and cookie while I put on clothes I wanted altered. Ismail understood shortening sleeves but absolutely ignored my request to taper pant legs. Said I should alter different part of pants and I politely explained the reason I only wanted them tapered. Left clothes and was annoyed that while I was filling out paperwork, Ismail tried to hit on me. Finished coffee he offered and moved toward exit, still trying to be polite. Then he shared highly inappropriate details about his dating life and I excused myself wishing I had not already left my clothes. Hoping he would at least do good job. I wasn't in a hurry but 5 business days seemed excessive for 2 alterations. When I returned, Ismail charged me twice what I would expect. When I looked at him with incredulity, he immediately justified himself and even tried to pretend he gave me a discount. I paid, thanked him for his time, and knew he would not be my new tailor. The sleeve shortening was cfine but he did the alteration He wanted on my pants. He did not taper them as I, the person paying for and wearing the clothes, paid him to. I would address the issue directly with Ismail but he did not inspire any trust or demonstrate ability to compromise. Don't waste your time or money. There are better tailors in the area. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The prices are outrageously expensive. I paid $162 to get 4 jumpsuits altered (took of a little bit of the length). I am all for paying for a good service, but those prices are just ridiculous. You could definitely tell that the lady who works for the owner does not agree with the prices either. Please go somewhere else and avoid paying hundreds of dollars here. I will rate one star because the cookies were good. read more

Every interaction i have had with this business has always been positive. The proprietor, Ismail, is always polite and formal. He greets each customer with a sesame cookie and a bottle of water. He's quick and professional in his work. To date, he's tailored x2 pair of shorts, a pair of pants, and a military uniform. Also of note, I had a blazer with a missing button. He offered to remove the other matching button and attach a new matching set at a very reasonable price. I agreed. Shortly after, I found the missing button. When I went to pick up the blazer, I explained the situation. He snatched the button from my hand and absconded with my blazer. He quickly attached all the appropriate button and at no additional charge (for removal of the new buttons, and then attaching the old buttons). I will gladly admit that he's now "my tailor" and I'll continue to solicit him for all my tailoring needs. read more

TERRIBLE!!!! They ruined my dress and as soon as I explained my disappointment the guy worked became very rude!!! He didn't have me pay for the alterations but he ruined an $150 dress and refused to do anything about it. read more

What a dump!!! This guys at the counter is such a piece of work, so rude, so expensive, I took in 3 long dresses simple hemming no layering, no ruffles, nothing special, I could probably do if I was taught basic functions of a sewing machine and when I was about to leave my dresses there he said 66$ ... Are u kidding me??? I said "what?" Never mind, he said how ok $60. I said "no thanks" its so simple it should be like 15 $ or less no more or like 12$ as I read on here this place did a customer's hemming on 3 jeans each for 12$ .... So then he said " well let me take my pins off your dress "in a rude tone as if he was pissed off that I wanted to and can go anywhere I want.... It was laughable to me, I said "go ahead" dont need nor want your dollar pins lol!" You go to Dry Cleaners" He said. I just laughed ... i go where ever the hell I want and it wont be here...and left, the guys a joke!!! Never in my life! We have been taking our clothes for years to Ismail, whether they need to be altered, remade or repaired. He always does a great job for a reasonable price. He has completely remade some suits my husband inherited from his dad. My husband calls Ismail a sewing magician. Ismail always treats you like a guest in his home by offering you Syrian cookies, cake and something to drink. He is always very kind and charges reasonable prices. read more

I just called to ask if he could do a same day very simple alteration. All I needed is a couple of inches taken off of the bottom of a one layer dress. I wouldn't be able to bring it in until 4:15 and I was asking if it would be possible to get it back in a couple of hours and pick it up before close. Mind you - ONE HOUR ALTERATION IS IN THE NAME and I was simply ASKING. Ismail is very unpleasant to speak to over the phone and he was raising his voice saying this is not possible. My question did not warrant this attitude. He said that in order for it to be one hour alteration I would have to bring it in the morning. Maybe he should change the name of his business? Needless to say I will not be speaking to him again, and I will take my dress and money elsewhere. read more

The quality is great...but I had to switch because the pricing is ridiculous!! I now go to a tailor off Bunker Hill who is half the price and just as good. The guy here was always kind of snooty. Obviously great at his job, but if I am going to pay $20 for you to hem a pair of jeans that I paid close to $100 in the first place, I expect a smile and some patience. He would be my first go to if I needed somewhere in Katy, but I would def. cringe whenever he just spewed off whatever amount he felt like charging me that day. read more

Had some pants that needed the waist taken out. Had it done quickly.

Had 8 drapery panels hemmed and they were returned with the lengths varying up to an inch different from the correct dimension (some too long and some too short). When my husband picked them up they were rolled up in a bag instead of hanging. The excuse was the owner didn't have any heavy hangers. I then had to pay to have them pressed at the cleaners. I absolutely loved the man who did my alteration. I am so sad I forgot his name. But I will be going back if I need anything else altered, so I will learn it then. He was so kind, brought me a fresh cup of coffee and a cookie right away. He was very attentive and made me feel comfortable right away. I needed a dress, a skirt, and a pair of shorts altered by the next day, and he did it without a problem. The price was a little on the high side, but maybe it was because of the dress. Anyway, I would pay the slightly higher price for good customer service. It is hard to find these days. read more

I needed a minor alteration and he won't even listen to my needs and told me I could leave if I do not want his services and that he is the best at what he does. Please learn to be more respectful to your clients, it goes a long way! Also, stop advertising 1 hour alteration that takes average of 3 days to complete, that's plain fraud! read more
