They seemed quite busy, however I was told that I'pd have the batteries replaced in two watches in 20 minutes and in 20 minutes, they were done. The technician realized that one of the watches was not keeping time before handing it to me and said it probably needed some cleaning. That did the trick, and he didn't charge extra. Friendly service but repair was inadequate. I took my Fossil Big Tic Watch to replace batteries. The repair tech stated he replaced both batteries and reset the digital seconds but it does the digital display does not come on. This watch has never been worn; it has been it's original box for 10 years. In addition to that, they scratched the crystal. Expert Repairs always does great work but they really did a great job this weekend. I just had a battery change for a watch but my Dad had quite the request. Because he cannot handle clasps/interlocking devices, he wanted his medical bracelet plate moved to an old watch band that he loves and can easily clasp. Expert Repairs made it happen, and they did it with a great attitude (even though i knew it was a hassle)...and at very fair/reasonable prices! i love small family-run businesses that are still out there in the malls (many malls have a similar usually low-key watch/repair business....and almost always have good service) doing such challenging tasks as jewelry repair, alterations/custom fittings, and the dreaded "battery change". This review is for Luis and the best customer service i have ever had I walked into Kay jewelers the other day looking to replace a battery in a watch i have had for a couple years and never worn, before i left not only did i have the battery changed for free i had much more then i could have ever expected. As i started talking to Luis while he was fixing my watch i asked him about my wife's ring my father gave me 13 years ago. the ring need to be cleaned and a few repairs to a couple loose diamonds after gathering some information Luis went out of his way to find the warranty policy from 13 years ago i didn't even know about and update all the information to current. The ring is currently being fixed and clean, my watch sized and fixed and never once did he ask for me to pay. Not only did Luis do this with smile, utmost positive attitude and respect but never once did he judge my appearance that day i was less then casual. i had just finished at the gym and walked in with a tank top, sweat shorts and a hat caring a $500 watch and a $4000 ring never once did he make me feel uncomfortable although i had all the paper work if needed he treated me like any other customer. I was trying to have my watch sized there. After he tried to undo the screw and stripped it he also scratched the back of the case. He handed the watch back to me and claimed another jewler scratched it. I never told him about any damage especially since there wasnt any when I handed it to him. I asked for a Manager and she was not there. They neglected to tell me I needed my ID OR claim ticket at pick up!!! Horrible customer service.
