We visited Explorado on our recent visit to Fort Collins. Fort Collins is our happy place to visit our daughter and granddaughters. With the need to find food sensitive eateries Explorado is a perfect place for all. Focusing on a complete Gluten free menu we were all able to find food we could enjoy without worry. The menu options are expansive and the food delicious. Service was friendly and patient as we took some time to choose our items. The ambiance is very pleasant especially as the building adjoins the Old Town Square. If we lived in FC full time this would be my almost daily place for gluten free food or for an array of drink options. I tried the dhumarl black iced tea; it was wonderful. I love that this place has moved to Old Town! I've stopped in a handful of times before work to grab something to go, but finally had the chance to sit down and enjoy the ambience of the place. After a short wait in line, we were helped by the friendly (and very young!) staff. We requested recommendations of which gluten-free muffin they would suggest and were guided in the direction of the blueberry streusel. After ordering our slices of quiche, we took the muffin with us and grabbed a seat in the side room by the window to wait for our order. We snacked on our muffin while we waited and were beyond pleased with the flavor and lack of graininess that some gluten-free foods are accompanied by. A few minutes later, our slices of quiche were ready - drizzled with a balsamic glaze. Full of flavor, wonderfully cheesy, and a thin crust that is almost nutty. We polished everything off right then and there, but probably should have grabbed a to go box so we wouldn't be so uncomfortably full. Super friendly owners and staff, out-of-this-world food, and such a cute space that they redecorated after Little Bird moved out. read more

Sad. I really liked this place the first time I came here! But for some reason today it felt like a waste of money. Ordered a drip coffee with oat milk and vanilla. It was served black - no worries. Ordered a veggie quiche and it was cold on the inside - again no worries. Went back up to the counter and waited in line, told the cashier what was wrong and asked if the quiche could be heated and if I could get some milk and vanilla. 20mins later (and yes I'm not exaggerating) the cashier brings out the quiche and says sorry I thought they brought it out to you but they just left it back there. Ok, now I'm upset. So, my coffee was bad (and was still bad the second time. the oat milk looked like water as it was being poured. Perhaps it just needed to be shaken?), the quiche cold, then it was forgotten, and brought out cold again. I understand things happen, but this was not properly handled or remedied. The 2 stars is for the food because I genuinely love the quiche and the other items and absolutely adore that it's gluten free - but wasting money & time is not on my list of things to do. Will come back one more time to see if this was a one off as I know we all have off days. Love the decor too! Hoping my next visit will be a better one! Update: Literally still sitting here at the cafe because I'm working and decided to try the blueberry streusel muffin. Added another star because damn that was delicious. Hats off to the baker! Omg, gluten free pastries as far as the eye can see! I got the caprese focaccia and it was so good! They drizzled it with a perfect balsamic glaze. They also have plenty of space to sit and visit with friends or work. This is such a cute place! I will definitely be back! read more

We came here at about 11, and there were a fair number of items left. It is just a bakery with some Quiche and Focaccia items. Ordered the coffee cake muffin and a 32 oz pina colada. The coffee cake muffin was SUPER moist and very good, but I didn't realize it had pecans in it, which was a bummer. The dirty soda, as they called it, was also very good. Would come back if we were in the area and get that dirty soda again for sure. I'd like to try their donuts also. There isn't much seating, but there is stuff outside in the common area. Parking is a bit tuffer, so be warned on that. read more

So far I have found no fault in this coffee shop. Everything is tasty, made quickly, and the service is kind. Shout out to Jazzy and Leo, who always serve up a smile and Leo is trying to start up a poetry workshop and open mic for the community here too, which is awesome. I had the special pretzel bites they served at the poetry night (both flavors) and they were out of this world!! My non-gluten-free friend even said they were best she ever had. I would vote to put them on the permanent menu PLEAAAASE. There is plenty of seating, free wifi, a clean bathroom, and good vibes. I highly recommend visiting. My favorite donut flavors so far are the blueberry and the maple, but all are good! read more

(side note this state is amazing) Cardnl - Explorado Market has rebranded itself as a 100% gluten free bakery in Fort Collins, CO, offering both gluten free and sugar free items as well as keto and paleo friendly items! They had their grand opening this past Saturday and the family that owns it is so kind and passionate! Prices are also extremely affordable - these items were $1.50 each! Frosted sugar cookie, brownie, chocolate chip cookie, and monster cookie pictured below. They also have a lot more cookie options, Rice Krispie treats, and refrigerated items like bagels, cinnamon rolls, breads, etc. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!! everything I tried was super yummy! read more

New to me coffee shop & bakery in old town Fort Collins! I stopped in on Labor Day around 12 and it was extremely busy! Waited in line for about 10 mins. I didn't mind, the staff was working hard and were kind. As soon as I ordered the line calmed down. I loved that there wasn't an up charge for alternate milks! Wide selection of homemade pastries, desserts, and quiche. Everything was gluten, soy, and peanut free. I tried a strawberry gf donut. I'm not normal GF but it was still delish! They upgraded the space super well since Bluebird was there. Very cute, aesthetic spot! Plus lovedddd my latte. The espresso used was top notch & delicious. All of their sweet offerings are top notch--I wouldn't have guessed that they are gluten free if I did not know that is one of their calling cards. They are all simply delicious. My daughter is allergic to gluten and dairy so we had 6 cupcakes made for her so she had something during a birthday party. She says the cupcake was the BEST dairy/gf cupcake ever. What happened to all of their Keto/Diabetic friendly items? This place was started as that being what they were known for. Now Gluten free is all they care about? I've never known anyone in my entire life that had problems with Gluten but I know plenty of people disappointed that this place no longer carries any of their Keto friendly products. Not only that, when I called to ask if they had any of said products the person I spoke with acted like they've never had any of those things. Even if I wanted gluten free things I would never be able to get them here anyways because they are always closed whenever I'm in Old Town. read more

The staff was so friendly, the donuts were a godsend, and the place was just plain beautiful! I had the new apple pie donut and almost cried from how good it tasted. Having a million and one dietary restrictions, it was nice to find a place that lists all ingredients and is happy to double check for you. Their summer love signature soda was so good and I was so excited for sugar free soda options! I came here just for the @horsetoothd decals. I know , I know. But I love stickers/decals. I am only in Fort Collins every few months, and I made it a point to come here yesterday, Christmas Eve. Even with GPS, I had a bit of trouble finding the store. It is easier to find than I made it out to be though. The store does not face College Ave, but is along Smokey St. There are a few parking spaces in front, so that was great. Walked in to a really cute, very today shop. There was so much to look at, and I was quickly carried away by all of the goodies to look at here. There are two rooms to go through. There are coolers with cold and frozen treats. There are bags of tasty goodies as well. Great gift ideas with knit Colorado hats, baseball hats, t-shirts, water bottles and so much more. The prices are in the higher side here, but everything is local. Healthy treats in small batches could be found in many shelves. And I did find my decals. Yay! I paid with a credit card, and my receipt was emailed to me via Square. Super cool. Really great, local shop. Great gift ideas here for those who love Horsetooth Reservoir, FOCO and healthy goodies. read more

Saw the owner be so rude to a customer who was a Mom- the poor woman was almost in tears. Just awful! Thought this was more of a local place, guess they just don't care about their clientele. Read their response below, this is what I witnessed, it's pretty apparent there is no accountability and no apology. The woman I saw just left and did not engage in any way. You can always tell when an owner has this attitude, Instead of saying we messed up and we are sorry he is attacking and claiming some kind of conspiracy. Proof is in the response- entitlement and aggression, look at all his responses to any issue below. It is apparently that the customer is always wrong and he could care less. Addition: I truly think you and your family need help. There is no aggression in my comments, it's what happened, watch your cameras. People can also read your comments to other customers who were "wrong" It is clear in all your responses to customers that you have a real bully complex. You should be reaching out to the poor woman you humiliated, not attacking me. read more

The owner and her daughter were so rude, it was an awful experience. They made us the wrong drinks and then when we asked for it to be corrected we were made fun of. It was so unnecessary and embarrassing, we just wanted coffee, wasn't even that busy. They said it had been a long week. We all have weeks like that, unfortunately, most of us would lose our job if we weren't the owners and treated customers this poorly. With their bland coffee and dry confections, it is clear that any success they experience is a result of good location and not skill or business acumen. They made it very clear we were just a number and they could care less. So if you want a tourist trap that could care less about their customers, go here. Talk about an amazing business to support in Fort Collins. I have never gone here and been disappointed by anything. If they have the carrot cake, GET IT!! It's the best carrot cake I have ever had. I'm glad this cafe opened up so close to home! However, could the owner communicate with their summer employees about asking customers if they would like their beverage sweetened or unsweetened? I ordered my usual iced matcha latte today, which I prefer unsweetened; the employee who made my order added a sweetener without asking first. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this until I got to work! It was so sweet I couldn't finish it. :( I'm glad this cafe is encouraging teens and young adults to get some work experience, and I understand this comes with some learning curves! Nice looking place, friendly staff. As with most places in Colorado, the food was mediocre at best. Their house chai is extremely bland. I took one bite out of their vanilla donut with lemon glaze and spit it out.. it did not taste good and had a very strange flavor. My partner tried it as well and said it was gross. Their focaccia was the best thing I tried but not good enough to go back for. I paid an extra $1 for balsamic and was only given like 1 teaspoon of it. read more
