I came here at the end of the day on Saturday. About two hours before closing. Staff was very friendly and my visit was pleasant. I chose a pink/white French tip. I paid and I left. The next day I realized that I had those bubbles that form. Which happens sometimes I guess. But then a week and a half passed and my nails were lifting. Im my opinion, the materials they used were too cheap and I paid way too much for something that wasn't quality. I usually have a difficult time finding a nail tech that can give me a nice mani/pedi so I was checking out this place. My husband needed a hair cut as well so I convinced him this place cut hair, it worked out. Initially, I just needed a pedicure but the nail tech did such a great job, I asked her if she has time to do my nails. This place is under new management and the nail tech that did such a great job on my nails is new to this salon. For those that always have pain with their toes, she helped relieve the pain. I had such a long day at work and just wanted to relax, they gave me some wine!! Best place I've been to that actually know how to give me a mani and pedi!! Went in to get acrylics done while waiting for a doctor's appointment nearby. The woman who did my nails didn't speak any English at all so it was difficult communicating with her in the first place. She put too much of that stuff on my nails that it ran into my cuticles and dried under there, and started stretching my cuticles and hurting my fingers. Not only that, but the acrylic looked much bigger and wider than my actual nails so it looked like a child stuck play doe on my nails. When I tried to point that out to her before I left, she ignored it and rushed me out of there. My fingers hurt so bad that I had some one from another nail spa remove what they put on my nails and it took over an hour to remove it! Needless to say, I will not return there and encourage others not to go there. I never thought I'd say this about any business, but this place is a shit-hole. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Do NOT GO THERE!! A couple of days ago I called in and scheduled an appointment and I walked in for a manicure (dip powder), pedicure and eyebrow wax. The lady that worked on my manicure and eyebrow wax was the lady that was standing by the door and I never got her name but she is AWFUL!!! I don't understand how they are licensed or in business OR EVEN AWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I picked the color I wanted for my nails and toes. The gentleman that worked on my toes was great, but she also didn't get the color right and got two different colors that were both not the color I had chosen. My toes are darker and my nails are lighter and the color I picked out was never shown! By the time I noticed that it was whenever she was doing my first nail in dip. I mentioned it to her and looked at my almost finished toes and realized the major difference in shades. Going from dark nude mauve on my toes to lavender on my nails!!!! And yet I knew it was getting close to closing time, I had been the only one in the store since I walked in. I still needed to do my brows and also my boyfriend had landed and had arrived at the hotel we were gonna stay at and I was tryna get out as soon as I could. She decided to start talking shit about me like the mannerisms and body language weren't obvious enough, to the gentleman that was done working on my pedicure!!!! And then she brings out the color pallet to me and I'm not tryna stay any longer and legit laughing while telling her it's okay i understand that shit happens it's fine girl! I just need to get going so you can go ahead and finish it up please. She starts ARGUING WITH ME!!!!!! And I find MYSELF going telling HER that it's all good and SHES UPSET, PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE AS HELL and so I try and just get her outta this unexplainable mood and attitude she's in and giving me by saying "you're really fine girl just relax and smile!" As I smiled at her! She looks at me then ROLLS HER EYES AND IGNORES ME!!! OKAY THERE IS RUDE AND THERE IS WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK (excuse my language)!!!!!! Anyways, not only did she get the color wrong but she shaped my nails the wrong shape!!!!!!! I asked her to adjust the thickness of the nail because that was the most important thing that I had stressed on when I walked in and sat down and she will NOT FREAKING TAKE ANY TIME TO ACTUALLY ADJUST ANYTHING!!! I asked her 3 times before she pretended to go over my nails and barely adjusted the thickness!!!!! Left them bulky and uneven!!!!!!!!!! And also at that point was rushing to get me out so she can leave I suppose because it was about to be closing time!!!! I cannot begin how OUT OF THIS WORLD THIS EXPERIENCE WAS!!! It doesn't stop there!!! I let it all go and I'm fuming and tryna leave. My boyfriend is calling me and I'm tryna get outta here! I get up and as she walks to give me my total I remind her that I have to have my eyebrows waxed (just a cleaning and absolutely nothing extra no shaping) and that takes a super short amount of time!!! She loudly starts sighing and what sounded like bitching in her language until we got to the back room and points and tells me "lay down" at this point I felt like I was a dog she was training!!!! This is awful just typing and remembering. she then rushes doing my eyebrows of course and she doesn't pluck anything or even wax enough or properly so of course I point it out and she gives more ATTITUDEEEE!!! She handed me the mirror again and I can see that barely anything has change!!!! I paid AND I TIPPED both her and the gentleman. She never put any oil on my hands after my manicure or my brows for the irritation/redness. I left, livid!!!! Not even a thank you or have a good night!!! A few days after I'm at work and a customer of mine tells me how she went to them and we shared our stories and the SAME LADY was horrible to her! And not gonna lie. Her nails were not easy to look at... looked like a car had run over them! THIS IS DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOR I REALLY DO HOPE THAT NOBODY GOES THERE AND THEY LEARN HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE LIKE HUMAN BEINGW FIRST BEFORW THWY OPEN A NAIL SALON AND ALSO LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY DO NAILS!!!! Nothing I asked for was complicated!!!! Don't rush me because you wanna go home when I booked an appointment!!!! And not do my brows right at all???? What did I pay over a $100 for then??? I am so lucky to have found this quiet Gem . I like Laura to do my nails. I am very picky and a bit conservative. She is able to do my nails thin and classic. More like a channel shorter nail. The pedicures here are amazing. I love the quiet & peaceful environment. Try this . Ps. If you cannot afford to go without tipping go somewhere else. I have been here twice since moving here in May, and I really like this place. They are so nice and efficient, and they do a great job. And even though it is a smaller place, I have never had to wait. The prices and services are comparable to other larger nail salons on Preston, but the customer service and treatment are much better. This place was okay. I went in there for tips and they weren't too busy so one of the women started working on me immediately. The weird thing is that she only prepped my nails and then another woman actually applied the tips and acrylic. that hasn't happened before. I hate getting my nails down because my nails are so thin that when they grind them down, I feel the burn and this place was no different. They could be worse though. I went to one place down in Houston that actually nicked my cuticles to the point they bled. Not fun. This place was simply uncomfortable, but no worse then any other salon. Someday I'll try an actually high-priced one and see if they are any better. The tips were $25 so about average for this part of town. They offered me free beverages and gave me a neck massage while the clear polish was drying under the UV light. It didn't take any longer than elsewhere either. I was in the salon for about an hour. Now the workmanship on the actual nails was a bit worse then elsewhere. The woman made the nails a bit shorter than I wanted, but that was my fault for not stopping her after the first one. They are also not completely even. For example, one side of my right thumb nail is longer than the other. I liked that they didn't go crazy globbing on the arylic, but they applied it too evenly, it's supposed to be a little thicker in the middle and thinner around the edges. These things I'm mostly okay with, but the acrylic isn't as clear as it should be. There are white flecks in it and a couple of specs of black dust. Also, they don't seem to clean the tools after using them on a client. They have the blue stuff, but I didn't see any tools in it. You know, the more I think about it, the less happy I am with this place. I certainly won't be back again. One of my coworkers says there's a place at Belt Line at Preston that's better so I'll probably go there next. read more

And they are meticulous. It is family run and operated. This place is just awful. I will never go back. I went in on a Monday evening after work for a mani/pedi. Two ladies started working on me...one on my feet and one on my gel mani. Another customer walked in and requested my manicurist, the customer explained that she was willing to wait, but my manicurist left in the middle of my mani to tend to the walk-in customer- as the manicurist is walking away she tells me that the customer had an appointment, but she didn't!!! I heard everything she said when she walked in, so anyhow, another lady started working on my hands. She could tell that I was annoyed but I didn't say anything because the new manicurist said that she would do a good job...boy was that a lie!!! The manicure was a disaster, ugliest mani I have ever had. The color started way up on my nail so there was a huge gap between my cuticle and nail polish and it was really uneven color application, just horrid. Anyway, I was so upset, but just wanted to get out of there, so I paid and left. To add insult to injury, they charge more than the average place for gel manis and pedis. So it is a no go for me...do yourself a favor and go up the street to Top Ten Nails. read more
