If I could give this place negative stars I would. DO NOT COME HERE!! They do not sterilize their tools! Went through the worst pain I've ever been through in my life because of this place. Came in for a pedicure and left with a hospital bill. While I was getting my toes done the lady filing my nails cut me on my left big toe.. a day later my nail started turning white and it started hurting, the next day my whole toe started hurting, the day after my whole leg was swollen, red and I was no longer able to walk the pain was unbearable. I went to the hospital and was told I caught paronychia and cellulitis due to unsterilized tools. Caught the infection in the same toe I was cut on. Please don't go here I highly doubt they even cleaned the tools after I left and caught this severe bacterial infection. I actually tried painting my own nails with UV gel polish and was unable to remove it, so I decided to check out this salon. I haven't done dip powder or gone to a salon since before COVID began and I'm pleasantly surprised by how well everything is handled. There wasn't a crowd of people inside and I was attended to quickly. The nail tech was great, he helped me choose a nail shape I was happy with and quickly did my nails. I think altogether it took 45 minutes, which is one of the faster times for doing my nails and they look great! I knocked off a star because they are not wearing gloves; I know they're not the most practical thing to wear in this type of business but I think it would make the customer feel a little more comfortable. I get to die for pedicures from Sandy here. And she never makes me feel bad when my feet are basically disgusting for waiting too long between pedicures. She's friendly, caring and gives the greatest foot and leg massage I've ever received during a pedicure. I won't go to anyone else but Sandy. And I don't pay attention to the other employees or what's going on around me because I'm there to zone out and have Sandy take care of me. It's the greatest treat. Super disappointing (and gross!) experience here. I tried this salon on a friend's recommendation. I had a dip manicure and a YouNique pedicure. I always come in with a photo of the length and shape of my nails so there's no confusion. My photo was of short, stiletto nails and I got round wonky almonds that weren't even even on both hands (nevermind that the color I picked was not the color used on my nails). During my pedicure, I was seated next to someone getting a manicure on a pedicure chair. Their nails kept getting clipped onto my chair and onto ME. There were open chairs, so even less of a reason why I should be looking down my dress trying to find where someone else's nail went- super gross! I cannot recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Came in for my first set of powder dip nails. Had them add some extensions to even out my length. Was super disappointed that my first nail cracked ( powder not extension) after only five days. I called and they said they would fix for free but I just didn't have the time to make it back in. What a fabulous experience I had at YouNique Nail Salon. The entire team was friendly and courteous. Trish greeted me at the door and showed me the powder colors. I got a manicure and pedicure. Since the pandemic I've had a hard time finding a nail salon that provides good service. This place came highly recommended so I drove from Las Colinas to have my nails done. The guy Casio who did my nails was extremely rude and Trish the owner excused his behavior by saying it was a language barrier which wasn't true. He spoke English very well. He did a horrible job and any time I asked a question or asked him to correct a mistake he would huff and sigh as though I was getting the service for FREE. As you can see by the pictures I wasted my time. All the owner Trish would say was she'll get me a better person NEXT TIME! There will not be a next time and besides when I called to make an appointment she told me she would get me her best person. Well if he is her best then I hate to see her worst. There will not be a next time. $45 for this mess! And because I believe in tipping when service is rendered, albeit, poor service I gave him a $6 tip. You would think that given the shut down due to the pandemic these establishments would provide better service as things return to some what normalcy in an effort to increase their business. I walked in and the first employee glued my nails on crooked and when I asked her to fix it she said that my fingers were bent and that she wouldn't work with me anymore. On to the second employee who did not put enough coats of nexgen, leaving the nails transparent. Then asking them to fix it, they put a NAIL POLISH coat on top. Peeled and chipped away immediately. Walked back in hours later politely requesting if they could fix my nails. They said No since I chose the color and that even though it looked bad, it was "my fault for not letting them dry" when the nail polish of course chipped off the nexgen. Never going back. I've been a customer here for years and today with my most disappointing visit ever. The salon has sold. I'm a change of hands is already very evident. They're absolutely scrambling and my service was not at all what it's been. My pedicure was solid. I selected the color pink and was told that they were out of it when they went to look for it. One of the workers offered another color pink which was allegedly compatible. I initially chose a very bold Pepto-Bismol like pink. I left looking like I have an American manicure. It looks like a very neat and clean American manicure but not at all what I went in for. I even told two people that I wasn't satisfied and they just looked at me but no acknowledging or offer to remedy. I left spending $75 plus tip but wanting to cry. This could not have happened on a worst day when I'm preparing for a wedding. I'm definitely on the hunt for a new place. I hope to find a new place as wonderful as this once was. read more

I have been going to this nail shop since I moved to Dallas in 2019. I LOVED the owner Trish! Her customer service was excellent and she always made sure my nails were right and I was happy. She knew me and always greeted me by name, even under my mask... Well I went to get my nails done today and Trish wasn't there. I asked were she was and they said we was gone, sold the shop, and under new management. This visit with the new management was very disappointing. I picked a lavender color, and she started painting my nail with a mint color. I had to tell her that was the wrong color. As she painted my nails there was nail polish on my cuticles, I had to point it out and ash her to remove. She was steady trying to get me to get dip nails vs the gel I requested. When she finished my nails we're jagged and needed to be filed more smoothly. I had to pint that out and asked for them to be filed more smoothly.... My daughter and I decided to give this salon a try after a not so great experience at another salon. We were both so impressed. My technician, Tracy, is the best I have ever had. She is meticulous with her work and yet FAST. We were prepared to be there for 2 hours since we were both getting Nexgen (dip,) and pedicures- but we were both done in 1 hour, and loved our nails. The pedicures were great too. Nail salons can be inconsistent in their service, but I have been back 3 times now and always leave happy. Where do I even start with this place! The first thing I told them that I wanted was Ombré style nails, pink and white with no dip. I was specific, I told the girl at the front I did not want to use dip. I wanted to use acrylic. I even showed them a picture that I have on my phone of exactly what I wanted. They said "yes, sure we can do that, with our dip colors." AGAIN, I said, "No, I don't want dip, I want Acrylic." Then they walk me to the nail tech and again, I explain that I don't want dip, I want Pink and white Ombré with Acrylic, and she says "Ok, we can do for you". So she begins my nails and we are at the part where my tips are glued on to all my nails. Then she shows me the colors that they have for pink and white. The pink looked too light and it looked almost the same as white, ad the other color was a purple. When I said, "That looks more like a purple" the nail tech then says "No, that is Pink" That was the most purple like Pink that I have ever seen. So I then ask her "Do you Not have the colors that I asked for? I showed you a picture and you all said you could do this." Then she says, "Yeah but you don't want Dip". I just hung my head, because I was already trying not to get mad. I then said, "Thats right, I don't want dip but you and the girl in the front said you could do this for me". Then she gets up and walks to the front of the store to get something. When she came back she showed me this powder and asked me "This color better?" It wasn't exactly what I wanted but it was better than what she had, so I said "yeah, that's a little better", assuming that what she was showing me was an Acrylic powder. So she starts putting it on my nails. She's almost done with both hands when she asks me, "Why you don't like dip?" I said it was just my preference and I didn't want it. Then she says "But it looks the same and it just as good" and then she shows me my nails. That's when I realized that she did not tell me that other powder was not Acrylic. IT WAS F***ING DIP!!! And she put it on my nails regardless of what I wanted!! Had I known it was dip, I would have pulled a "John Snow" and said NO, I DONT WANT IT!! I would not be as angry if 4 other things hadn't happened. First: It was SUCH. A. SHIT. JOB!!! It was Absolutely, without a doubt, the worst nail job that I have EVER had done!! And that's an achievement with me since I have lived in at least 11 different cities in the US, and 7 different countries, thanks to the military. Nobody in any of those places has ever done worse. So, CONGRATULATIONS! SECOND: The girl at the front then tries to charge me the full $50.00 price for the shit show on my finger tips!! I plainly and politely told them, "NO! I AM NOT PAYING FULL PRICE FOR SOMETHING I NEVER WANTED!" I didn't want to pay for it AT ALL!!! THIRD: When I explained that after I stated SEVERAL times that I did not want Dip used on me, and I ended up with dip on my fingers anyway, the girl at the front and some other woman (I'm assuming it was a manager since nobody identified themselves) FLAT OUT LIE and say, "Oh no that Is Acrylic, she used Acrylic powder." Then I said, "Ok, so which is it, because the nail Tech already told me it was Dip." Then the "manager" (that's what I'll call her) says "Yeah, but she used a different brush". At that point I had to lower my head and say a prayer to keep my civility and my temper in check because, there is nothing more I hate on this earth than to be lied to!! So, I lowers my head in my hands, took a couple of beep breaths, and I said "This is not Acrylic, this is DIP, and I will not pay for something that I did not want, after I stated repeatedly that I did not want it!!" FOURTH: You would think that, as someone running a business, a customer's satisfaction would be important to you. Apparently... that is NOT the case with this place. They simply offered me a %10 discount for my next visit. (They already offer %10 off all services on Mondays-Thursday's). She didn't even bother to offer to fix my disaster of a nail job!! Had she offered to have someone else fix it, I would have paid the full price. But that didn't happen. So I scoffed and calmly said "Oh, you think I'm coming back?! NO! I DONT THINK SO. I had a 5 star experience the first time I went. However, I met Trish the second and 3rd time I went. I found her to be a very distasteful person both times. So first distasteful dose of Trish: I tell the nail tech what I want and she starts working on my feet... Then the tech that's about to work on my hands tells me that Trish is making her tell me that it costs 15 extra dollars for chrome.. sidenote:I got chrome the last time I was there.. they're literally filing chrome polish off my nails. I just say ok. It's been a long day and I wanted to get my nails done because it always makes me feel better. So fast forward to maybe 10-15 mins later. Trish tries to spark up a conversation with me in the most disrespectful way, after she's been staring at me for a while. She walks up, smiles, and says you look familiar.... I just have one of those faces I guess, very polite, no attitude, remember I'm chillin, it's been a long, I'm not even from Dallas, and her energy is weird so I'm not trying to converse with this lady. By the time all these thoughts run through my head, she says "have you seen Orange is the New Black... You look like"... I just deeply inhale and slowly exhale because I know exactly what she is about to say. Even if I didn't know she said it anyway. And normally I wouldn't be offended. Uzo Aduba is a beautiful woman, but we look nothing alike and my hair was in a bun. So yep, she said I look like Crazy Eyes. I politely ask what her name was again and minded my own business the rest of the time there. My nails looked gorgeous. Second distasteful experience with Trish I really liked my nails the first two time and it's been a few weeks and I'm over the week I've been having so righteously I want my nails done so they can match my hair. And I'm super optimistic that I'll have a better experience this time. Trish is one of the first people I see... Remember I'm optimistic. I tell her how want my nails. I always get gel polish but Trish is really pushing almost like she is choosing this dip powder for me. It's late the dip may be faster. Plus don't really care as long as it's cute. They sit me in the back and I'm chillin because I'm in the cut and away from everybody else and right across from the bar or whatever, so when I run out of water the don't have to walk far to get me another one. Trish looked disgusted when I told her all I wanted to drink was a bottle of water and proceeded to say something in Viennese (the other lady told me they were from Vietnam so I assume that's what language they were speaking) all three of them laughed and she walked off to get my water. I do not care, this water feels good on my feet and chair feels good on my back. Plus she didn't say it in English so it clearly wasn't my business. After Trish brings me the water she begins the 3rd degree on why I came so late... Granted I came 30 mins before the closed but it's the only time I could come. " You live close around here.. yes, I live about 5 mins from here.... Why you come so late... I just got off work... But it's 7:00... I work in South Dallas and there is a lot of traffic here in Dallas.. I came as soon as I could. Seated beside she and her colleagues begin to speak in not English. Then she notices my piercings and instantly sexualizes them. She tells me that her ex boyfriend them and he was really good. I didn't ask what she meant but I assumed she was referring to oral sex. Then she asked my if they felt good or did they (my two tongue rings) make it better. Oh Trish, my tongue rings represent and deeper more spiritual meaning. I deal with the ignorance of others on the regular and I normally respond by educating vs critiquing but today I let Trish have her moment. It's been a long week. I just want my nails done do I can go home and relax. For some reason people get annoyed when they throw everything they have at you and you remain unbothered. They begin to get rude and the disrespect begins. I kid you not, this lady looks at me and ask me if I'm a man. Confused at how she could make such a mistake, was she just trying to be funny, or maybe I simply heard her wrong... I say excuse me Now my voice is a little hoarse because I have hobbies and I talk A LOT throughout the day. But my voice is still extremely feminine. I have natural breast the size of watermelons and no lie I put in work for these curves. I'm tired of Trish at this point and I'm about to become very stereotypical at the point because no ma'am. She clearly doesn't know who I am. She hurries to feet to greet a client that just walks in.. but before she walks to the front she stops and says.. "I remember you.. I called you Crazy Eyes"..... Yes you did and we look nothing alike.... she turns and walks towards the front sayings " you should be happy, she is a famous actress" I'm not even upset my yellow polish on top of my blue dip chipped.
