Dirty and dingy looking. Cramped feeling. The bathroom is used as a storage unit for the ladder and such. The chair control is covered in bubble wrap so you cannot read the controls. This nail salon is older, and they need to update some of the décor and fix some of the things on the spa chairs. The remote cover kept slipping off every time I tried to select what kind of massage I wanted. The staff was very friendly, and I came at the right time. I only had to wait a few minutes. Pedicure is only $25 here which is so much cheaper than some of the other salons located in the same vicinity. With this pedicure, you get the whole paraffin wax treatment as well as a foot massage. They have a wide variety of nail color selection, so I will definitely come back. I recommend making an appointment on the weekends as they do get busy. read more

I hate to score low but since everyone will see my nails and few will look at my toes...that's what I'll give. My nail technician did not do a good job. First I request just do a natural look...this is what was determined as natural. I got the powder dip and a few of my nails were left thick to say the least. I mentioned it at least 3 times but she didn't correct it. Eventually I just gave up...Also notice in the pictures that some of my nails weren't covered. Lastly...when she finished she didn't apply any type of oil...massage...nothing. My hands were still dryer out from the nail polish remover at the beginning. In the pictures I applied lotion myself...but hadn't washed the residue off. Horrible experience and I definitely will not be back. I hate to put her name on here as she may have been having a bad day but...in the shop I'm sure they'll know who completed my nails today. My basic pedicure was ok, another woman did my feed. At face value she did the job...nothing extra but she did what she was supposed to do and I have no complaints. read more

I have a little trick up my sleeve and I love using it when I get my nails done. If you didn't already know, about 98.9% of all nail salons are owned by a Vietnamese person. I am Vietnamese and I love getting pampered and getting done up so I love getting pedi's regularly. I just want to sit there and enjoy myself in peace. Well, for some reason, when a nail tech discovers I'm Vietnamese, they talk to me non-stop! Well, I just tell them I'm half Viet and half something else so they don't talk to me. It also get interesting to hear what they have to say in Vietnamese. When I walked in, the owner greeted me and was very friendly. They were a little busy but I got to me as soon as possible. While I waited, I soaked my feet in the water and enjoyed my chair massage. I had the deluxe spa pedicure. She brought out these bags with a purple liquid in it. I placed my feet in there and she started spreading the liquid all over my feet. It was really hot but in a matter of seconds it was bearable. I'm not sure what the liquid was - I should've asked but I didn't feel like talking. It started to become a little soapy. Interesting... She then applied lotion to my legs and used hot stones to rub it in. She finished it off with a nice massage with good pressure. She did ask me if I was Viet but when I told her I was a halfie, she left me alone. I painted my toes with French and she did a good job. My deluxe spa pedicure with French came out to be $30. This is an average price. The decor is nice - not outdated or "fobby". They had a TV on with a movie playing which was nice. What's even cooler is that is this place is located by Corner Bakery which provides free wi-fi so you can browse on the internet too! read more

My cousin had just gotten a pretty summer coral put on her nails the previous day so I was motivated to go "spring" and found 2 polishes in the "coral family" that would work. The decor and cleanliness wasn't impressive but the friendliness of the techs get a thumbs up. Me and my friend were distracted - talking, on the phone, iPad, etc. but they both seemed to understand we were trying do some research and multitask. I also never know what to do next (everybody goes in different order lol) and normally end up feeling like a kid that failed a test when it comes to where to move my hands, wiggle my toes, etc. but I didn't get that here. I even cracked a joke about it and the tech laughed, replying "you wouldn't know how I move." I have been coming to Nail Gallerie for about 8 years now. It was very close to where I lived. Jenni is the best. She is a perfectionist and ALWAYS does a good job. I have regular manicures and pedicures and occasional waxing. About 18 months ago I moved about 20 miles away and I still go to see Jenni. Pricing is excellent, she does a fantastic job and always gets me a bottled water. She knows what I like and at times will recommend a different color or brand of polish that is better than what I picked out. My experiences at Polished had been going down hill quickly. Jenn and I had already begun discussing finding another nail salon. On Sunday February 8th, I was awakened by a phone call telling me that my grandfather had passed away and I needed to come to Waco. I started laundry and packing and getting everything I could possibly need for a week in Waco together. Then a realization hit me... there was no way I could go to a visitation or funeral with the way my nails looked. I called Polished to get an appointment. I was put on hold twice. I was told they couldn't help me that day, but if I called back on Tuesday they could tell me about their Promotions. Um, what? I threw on some clothes and decided to just go drive until I found a nail salon. Luckily I didn't have go very far as this one was just around the corner from home. I expressed my apologies to the technician who had to do my pedicure. The last person who did my feet at Polished didn't even attempt to wrangle my out of control cuticles and my feet looked horrible. My nails were outgrown and also looked horrible. The two technicians I had took great care to fix me up. My feet still look great and although my nails are starting to grow out a bit, still look 100% better than the last set at Polished. And to top it all off, this last minute appointment and bit of pampering was $29 cheaper than what I normally paid at the Pink and Orange Dotted Place. I'm going to stay with Nails Gallerie for a few months and see how this comes out. read more

Can't beat a $25 spa pedi with the paraffin wax! We came on Christmas Eve and it wasn't super packed. We did have appointments though. This location had a huge variety of nail polish colors which I like. They offer water and sodas. My lady did an awesome job on my pedi. Horrible experience today with the nail tech sitting closest to Amy! I mentioned to her that she nipped my cuticle with the tool and she proceeded to do the same to each finger purposely, even breaking the skin on my right thumb. Prior to this, as I sat down, I showed a photo of the nails I'd like, and when it came time to cut the tips down, she quipped "HOW LONG?". She had a negative attitude with me the entire time, it got so bad I had to ask if everything was okay. I was honesty concerned until her next customer showed up and she was so excited. Unsure if it was an off day because she is pregnant, and I've patronized this place for many years, but I will not tolerate poor, careless nail care that could result in an infection, or negativity towards me, especially when I'm asked about a tip after each service. I certainly won't be back and will be sure to alert everyone I know about my experience. read more

If your looking for somewhere with friendly service and affordable prices then you've got the right place! Holly did my nails (full set with regular polish) and she did the BEST set of nails I've had in years!! They have specials on Mon-Wed. Their prices are good, they offer you water, soda or wine and they have wi fi from corner bakery:) I have been to a dozen nail saloons in Dallas but my friend took me here while back and I wouldn't go anywhere else. This is the worst salon I've ever been to. All of my nails started popping off in less than a week. I called the salon and asked for the owner and was told they were not there. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one there. When I went back to the salon she told me I would have to pay. Mind you I do hair for a living and this is not my first set of nails, I scratched my head and my index finger popped off. After exchanging words with her I asked if there was someone above her I could speak with and she said no. So I asked her did she own the shop and she said no, but refused to give me the owners information. She then said she was a manager forgetting that she told me no managers were available. She was very rude about the situation and tried to find every reason to blame me instead of trying to correct her mistake and provide good customer service. Very underwhelmed. I only came here because of the great reviews but never again. Not a relaxing or luxurious experience whatsoever. Nobody was particularly rude but customer service is not their strong suite. Either that or I'm spoiled which is possible. I have five fingers so why massage three?
