The receptionist lady is extremely rude and the piercer is rude. went in one time with my friend just to ask something about her piercing and all she said was "hi" and he turned around and was like "do you have any manners, you're really gonna interrupt me right now while i'm talking to someone?" and went on and on. literally, so many better tattoo artists out there and shops that are actually polite. avoid this place. they've pissed me off every time i've walked in there. it's not hard to be nice people. read more

I got a completely botched septum piercing from Deus not too long ago. I came in for a tattoo consultation, and decided to get my septum pierced as well. No clamps or receiving tubes were used. The actual piercing was way too forward (toward the tip on my nose), causing the jewelry to tilt diagonally and lay flat between my nostrils. You couldn't even see I had a septum piercing when I looked straight forward. I convinced myself that the piercing just needed to "settle" in, but after two days that pain became unbearable and I went to a different piercer to have it removed. I've also gotten my rook pierced here by Ian, which took a while to heal but was fine. Otherwise, I've gotten 4 tattoos so far from exposed and have been very satisfied. I recommend them for tattoos, especially when I get asked where I had mine done. read more

Beyond rude staff. Walked in there to get a new cartilage earring. They made it very obvious that they were annoyed with the attitude in their voices and body language. There piercer Deuce is absolutely terrible! I should've read all the bad reviews about him before he messed my dermals up and my wife's piercing. He is sloppy and doesn't even use a clamp he just guesses and shoves the needle through. He didn't use a punch for my dermals he just cut into my face. I had to go somewhere else to have my dermals removed cause they were so messed up. Be careful this guy will mess you up! read more

I went to get my nipples pierced over the weekend and was recommended to go to Lauren. The pain wasn't the problem the placement was. Within days I had to go back to get a longer barbell because the piercings were uneven and one nipple had zero space to heal and settle. Maybe a week after I decided to go to a different place who only does piercings to get a second opinion because I wasn't happy with the placement of one piercing. I soon found out that the piercings I was given was pierced too deep, it was actually pierced in my areola rather then my nipple. Both piercings ended up having to be taken out because of how deep they were. Now unfortunately I have to wait 4 months to get them repierced. I would recommend going to a place that is experienced in piercing, not a place that does multiple things alongside of doing piercings. I'm very upset and wish I went to the place that checked them out for me and had taken them out. I paid 80 dollars plus tip for these piercings and I may have scarring as well. read more

I've gotten 3 tattoos here over the last 10 years and each experience kept getting worse. My last tattoo I was told my artist could do it, I paid the deposit, then I was told later when I asked for the same thing with just some ascents in pink he said he couldn't do it anymore and that the deposit was non refundable. He referred me to another artist at the same shop and his portfolio was good but his personality was trash. He texted his baby mama the entire 2x 6hr sessions. He had a satanic flag in his room which is cool. I'm agnostic but I'd feel the same way if I saw a bunch of Jesus crosses on the wall. Really don't love ppl blending religion and work. He didn't ever ask if I was comfortable if there was anything he could do to make those 12hrs better for me. It's probably my least favorite tattoo on my body I'm not sure how much is just my experience or how the tattoo actually looks. He mansplained everything to me and was just a real asshole of a person to work with. I'm considering getting laser on the last tattoo I got here This place is also NOT FEMALE FRIENDLY. As I sat waiting to be brought back I was sitting next to another woman in the waiting area. We could hear across the room the manager flirting with the very young female receptionist, telling them oral sex tips... the other woman and I just looked at each other in shock. How unprofessional, even for a tattoo shop. Add that to the mansplaining and it's really uncomfortable as a woman to get any work done here I stopped going here and started getting my work done by Steve at Virginia Class Tattoo in old town Manassas and never looked back. I knew I had very high expectations for my next tattoo. I walked through the door and was immediately impressed. This facility is clean, and the lady that was working the front desk was friendly and professional. She introduced me to my tattoo artist who took the example picture I brought and listened to the modifications I requested. Some people do not like leaving a deposit for things like this, but it made me glad. I knew I had a reserved spot, and that my project would be taken seriously. So my biggest apprehension about walking into a tattoo shop for the first time is feeling like an "outsider." Sometimes the staff is unwelcoming and doesn't do a great job of making you want to spend your money with them. So... this was definitely NOT the case with Exposed Temptations. As soon as we popped into the shop, we were greeted right away and the dude at the desk was super friendly and ready to help us. We had been stalking one particular artist on Instagram for quite a while (@Ower_Hernandez) so we were pretty excited to book with him. Ower was friendly friendly and accommodating. He was real and upfront about expectations. The whole experience of booking was great. Last night we got our tattoos and the experience was great. Ower works very fast and is SO talented. The shop is very clean and everything seemed to be fresh and sterile. We settled up with the guy at the front (same guy... super friendly). I even booked a second piece with Ower and put down a deposit. Like most shops, they aren't gonna draw anything up for you without a deposit. Totally understandable. Also, I'm very open to letting an artist be an artist. I think you really need to check out an artist's portfolio beforehand and make sure you are 100% comfortable about their style and BE SPECIFIC about style when you are booking. read more

Walked in service (can't remember the lady's name, she was super friendly & helpful) was great! The establishment was immaculate and very nicely decorated! My artist was Thom who is new to the area, he was friendly, patient & an outstanding artist! I highly recommend you get to him before he starts getting known! He did the American flag, not the EGA. I wanted so badly to be satisfied with my tattoo and experience here... The actual shop is stunning. Contrary to some other reviews, everyone was polite and professional. I consulted with my artist and he said that there would be a 10 month waiting period to be tattoo. I literally had no problem with that at. After all, a good artist usually has a long wait. He requested that I send an email of what I wanted in my tattoo, which I did. I sent a number of examples and told him that this was going to be a memorial piece including a portrait of my late younger sister. I will admit that I did send a number of requests to be in the tattoo. I gave him items and a theme. I assumed that over the 10 month period I would have some kind of contact with the artist, throwing ideas and drawings back and forth, etc. That never happened. At around the 9 month mark, I finally emailed asking when we were gonna draw up the tattoo and he advised me that he "draws his tattoos the night before". Honestly, I should have known right then and there that there were going to be issue BUT I was literally so excited to get it done that I looked passed it. The first session came and I drove the 1.5 hours to get there. Once I was there and entered the room, he literally only had an outline of the face (of my sister). He complained that the picture that I had sent him was "really small" (we probably could have addressed that in the 10 month period I waited to get here, but OK) So I quickly had to find another picture of her that was suitable. He also told me that my ideas were "all over the place". Again, I just feel like this should have been addressed within the 10 month waiting period BEFORE the tattoo. I pulled up a picture of her and he traced the face on the tablet. BUT for the hair, he literally went into some kind of file on his ipad of "preloaded" hair outlines and then put it on her head. I told him that her hair was literally what she was known for so I wanted it to look like "her" hair and that the hair he put on the face looked nothing like hers. You could tell he was literally annoyed and it started to make the session a bit uncomfortable. The tattoo was supposed to be a full lower arm sleeve and I wanted the portrait immersed WITHIN the surrounding items of the tattoo. Like I wanted him to take her face and turn it into something unique WITHIN the piece. I told him I wanted her to have feathers in her hair. He told me that would look stupid (??) Long story short the first session he tattooed the full face and butterfly. He copied and pasted a feather headpiece onto her head as well since he said the feather would look stupid. As we were searching through Pinterest to find something, you could tell he was getting annoyed so I kind of felt pressure to hurry up and pick one. IT became evident that he had absolutely no interest in drawing anything from scratch. I was overall satisfied (not thrilled) with the piece but its not like the actual artwork was bad...so I scheduled my next appointment for a month out. After I got home I realized that the left eye was a bit off...I do not know how to explain it in words but it was almost a bit more closed/slanted which through off her whole face. On the 2nd appointment I mentioned the eye and asked if we could thicken the eyeliner (makeup) to open the eye because it didn't look like her eye and he told me (very aggressively of course) that he had "traced the picture exactly so that is hat her eye looks like" So I told him STEARNLY that "I know what my sisters face looks like and that is not it". Again, as I am writing this all out I am feeling like a total idiot that I continued doing the piece with him. Another red flag...he didn't even keep the picture of my sister face up when tattooing. It just felt like he was hating having to tattoo (maybe he is sick of it or just was not interested in the kind of piece I wanted). I am not sure. I had seen many of his pieces and this was just point blank not his best work. To be honest, it kinda just hurt my feelings considering it was supposed to be a memorial. During the 2nd session I realized that since he had tattooed the whole face that at this point there was no way to truly immerse her into the tattoo (like with overlapping, etc) I did not even think about this. Then again, I am not the artist. After speaking with a number of other artists, apparently with a piece like this the whole piece (or majority of the tattoo) should have been drawn out first and fitted to my arm so that there was a layout of all the combined symbols/items that I wanted in it. Obviously that did not happen because throughout the entire time, he never "drew-up" anything. There is so much more but I wont go into it all. I am just really disappointed and have scheduled my touchups elsewhere (even though I paid over $2000 and should get them free for 3 months). I literally don't even feel comfortable to ask for my free touch ups. read more

First of all I would give my experience a good 9/10. I was in and out of there in 20-25 minutes and I got a couple of piercing. I would most definitely return back!! Everyone was super nice and helpful, but I would say the receptionist was very straightforward. Nothing wrong with that, but I for sure think people would take offense on how she is. I went here after to work to get my septum repierced. I have nothing negative to say at all! The staff were very friendly, EXTREMELY CLEAN OMG, and followed Covid-19 instructions.. I spoke to a lady who was there for a tattoo and it looked amazing as well. My piercer was soooo sweet and professional (sorry I didn't catch his name- blame mom brain- but he's bald). I wanted to update my review. I recently had my nipples pierced by Deus. He is very professional and very good at making you feeling comfortable from start to finish. Very pleased with the outcome as well. He also offers check ups after your piercings to make sure all is well. This was my third time seeing him for a piercing and I haven't been disappointed. Luke did my tattoo this morning and I am obsessed!!! It is my second tattoo and I ended up passing out, which is my body's natural reaction to pain (happened with my nose piercing and nipple piercings so it doesn't scare me) but Luke was immediately worried and immediately responded and held ammonia under my nose which instantly brought me back. He gave me candy, water, and a wet paper towel. He said he's never had anyone pass out but knew exactly what to do with his cop/military background and for this I applaud Luke. He was pretty freaked out but remained calm for me while I was laughing at how embarrassed I was! We ended finishing the tattoo once I felt better and he talked to me the entire time to make sure I stayed lucid. And he was really cute so huge bonus. The rest of the staff is also delightful I also should mention Ian did my nipple piercings a couple months ago and that experience also went extremely well, considering I also passed out! I have only positive things to say about this place, so if you're indecisive about where to get an amazing tattoo or a perfect piercing with excellent service, you have found your place! read more

I ended up emailing Greg Piper to get the process started. I think he emailed back almost immediately. We set up the first consultation to meet and go over ideas. I was excited. Met with Greg and he was awesome. He was almost more excited about the process than I was. His shop is clean. It is a place you want to have your tattoo done. He did have a wait list- but his finished product was worth the wait. Every week before my appointment I got a call reminder about the upcoming appointment. That was awesome. The woman at the front desk (Michelle) was an absolute pleasure to deal with and more than willing to answer any questions. The finished product is amazing and I get compliments on it daily. I never leave bad reviews but my friend and I had such a bad experience here. The piercer was extremely rude and made multiple disrespectful comments. The customer service is seriously lacking. While my friend was getting her nose pierced, they made me wait outside while it was dark, there was a man being arrested beside me, and there were multiple men who were staring me down. Also, as soon as we walked through the door, the piercer yelled at us to put on hand sanitizer. I'm all for keeping clean so we complied. Too bad he wasn't wearing a mask and never put one on.
