Rooster and Exposed Temptations Tattoo are awesome! First, the covid precautions are strictly followed and we felt safe the entire time getting our tattoos. We (myself and two friends) came in early on a Saturday, hoping to do walk-in appointments, but they were already booked. We worked with Rooster on our designs and booked a big block of time for later in the month. When we arrived on appointment day, Rooster worked with us to make sure our designs were exactly how we wanted them and something we would love forever. Our appointments ran a little late, but thankfully Rooster was able to finish all four tattoos! This shop is outstanding! I went for a walk-in right after my 18th birthday to get an outline piece. I met Luke, waited like 15 minutes for him to finish up with another client before heading to the back. He did SUCH A GREAT JOB! From making sure the size of the outline was perfect for the area to testing out my pain threshold with a blank tattoo gun, I could not have asked for a better experience. This place is honestly one of the cleanest places I've been to. I came to get a color touch up on a tattoo I had done a few years before and I got another one on the top of my foot. So it was pretty simple. But the artist clearly explained what she was going to do and gave me the cost up front. The rooms are clean albeit small. Yes this place is pricey but I'd pay a premium to have a clean, safe place, that does good work. After all they are permanent unless you want to go through the pain of removal. I've been here with a few friends to give them moral support for tattoos and one of my friends got her nose pierced. Again overall a good experience for them. And its not one of those places where you'll feel strange if you don't have a ton of tattoos. read more

My friend and I went to exposed temptations as walk ins to get finger tats on May 6th. The wait wasn't long, only about 45 minutes. We were greeted at the front desk and explained what tat we wanted. The woman at the desk was very upfront with us saying a tattoo of this size and location may not hold and we may need a touch up in a few months, which she explained the shop is not responsible for. She said it may end up looking like a "prison tat" which made us chuckle. Totally fine. Our artist was rooster and was cool as shit. Great price, tat was 5 mins or less and my friend and I will have memories for a long time to come. We both have ink on us but this by far was the most painful spot. Just a heads up!! I went here to get my nose pierced. This was my first time. After having a horrible experience at InAdore, I called her of which I had a mind to go here first. I wanted a piercer that was experienced and wore a mask. I told the woman on the phone what had happened and she told me their piercer wore his n95 all day. She even said she would wear one if I wanted. That put me at ease. See I wear my mask, but knew it had to come down for service. I told her thank you, but that wouldn't be necessary because we wouldn't be that close lol. She told me I had a wait about 15 min. I told her I was good cause I had all day lol. I got there about 30 min later. Filled out paperwork and said I'd wait outside they were very crowded. She said they would come get me when he was ready. About 20 min later they called me in. My piercer greeted me wearing his mask properly he joked with me made me feel comfortable made sure I was ready. Unopened needles showed me the stud and answered any questions I had. He was very fast and professional. I did feel quick pain lasted about 30 secs.He talked to me about aftercare gave me a pamphlet and said if I have any questions to feel free to call him. Great place, very clean and legit. Signed a quick waiver and even had a nice lady help my girlfriend to find out what nose piercing she wanted. The guy who pierced me was very fast and legit, he was cool and helpful, even gave me a pamphlet on how to care for my nose piercing and stuff. Receptionist was incredibly rude. Initially we were told the lob peircing would take 45 minutes, but ended up waiting for a couple hours. It appeared that the piercer went on break for most of that time, but they did not let us know. I had a friend recommend Rob at Exposed. For one, Rob is great! I have gotten all my American traditional tattoos from Rob himself. I gave him an idea to work with and what he drew up was incredible! This is my second time coming into this shop and having a problem. The front desk receptionist is one of the rudest, most single handedly condescending people ever. Vanis recently began working on my half sleeve and I couldn't be happier. Vanis is a true artist who took my brief idea and made it into something that fits me perfectly. He was very detail oriented and made sure I was happy with the piece before he started tattooing. The shop is very clean and all the staff members I met were very friendly. I'd suggest going in and talking to Vanis rather than email. I see some reviews on here about the up-front office lady...she was wonderful and thorough. My only regret is not booking 2 appointments the first time I went in. If you have a tattoo that is going to take more than 1 session, book both sessions the first time. Many of the artists are very backed up and now I have about a 4 month wait to get my tattoo finished. I think this place sucks for customer service. I called because I was referred to them by a fellow piercing shop to speak with Deuce. The receptionist said he was late for work and should be in "at some point", in a was very lacked attitude tone. So I said ok. Can I leave my number for him to call me regarding my piercing. She said no and that I need to call him back when he's in the shop. I'm a little irritated at this point that she couldn't even take a message OR better yet ask me if there is something she can help me with because she still never asked me that. I hung up and I followed her instructions and called back six hours later. Same woman answers the phone and said oh Deuce was here but he left early today. She said he will be most likely be in the next day and offered me an email address. I wasn't interested in an email address in which he could take days to get back to me. I was interested in talking to him about an urgent matter. Again, even when I said this, she STILL didn't ask me if there was something she could do to help me. But she did pretend to take my phone number down. So not the positive experience I was hoping for thanks to people basically not doing their job or showing up for their job. read more

My daughter made an appointment to get her nose pierced. Upon arrival the place looked a little sketchy. When we walked in we were rudely told "Stop - wait there" and then asked to announce our name and reason for visit to the whole shop. After a snarky comment because we were 5 minutes late he proceeded to rudely request our IDs. When my daughter said she forgot hers he got even ruder and said there was nothing he could do since law requires an ID. She tried to show it on her phone but he refused to even look at it. I understand there are requirements and maybe there was nothing he could do but he didn't have to be so rude about it. First, 13 years ago, at age 17 I got my first piercing for a graduation. I cannot remember who did it but I now have 8 tattoos and my 1st one is still the best one. (See picture). Minor touch up needed, but after 13 years, that is expected. Second, I love the bad reviews, I think the owners responses are actually really funny because from personal experience I know they are friendly, customer service oriented, and do P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L work. Other people just have a tendency to be salty when they dont get their way. Which, yes, is a perfect reason to be expensive. You pay for what you get. For example: I got one tattoo from Good Times in Manassas (which, fyi is now closed as they should be). It's the worst tattoo I have and needs to be fixed, a lot. I only paid 90$ for it. Again, you get what you pay for. I will be visiting this place on Sunday, to book an appointment for my 9th tattoo with my little brother who is turning 18 in 1 week, and is getting his 1st. I told him specifically, we must go to the place because i trusted no one else. No more crappy tattoo shops for me. I am getting all my future fix-ups and new ones done here. read more

The whole process was smooth and easy and the pricing was amazing. You truly "get what you pay for" and more at this shop. It's investment quality tattooing yet it won't "break the bank" if that makes sense. It's super fair pricing. I've sent 3 friends to Exposed who all got tattooed by Rob (who is also outstanding) and last month I brought my daughter in on her 18th birthday. She sat with Rooster for 3 and a half hours for a gorgeous tattoo. Rooster was so cool and made my daughter feel relaxed and comfortable. He managed to make a hip tattoo not be super painful! I just finished getting my leg done at Exposed Temptations and couldn't be more pleased. Tattoo was done by Greg over multiple sessions. The studio is really clean, and I enjoyed everyone that worked there. In fact I always looked forward to going for a good laugh. The only problem is it may take a while to get in and finish, however if you are willing to wait for a quality tattoo (which i recommend you do) then it is certainly worth it.
