Scott was great. He just diagnosed and fixed my dryer problem. In retrospect, it was probably something I should have been able to figure out. (Dryer was fine, but circuit breaker was the problem). He still systematically diagnosed everything methodically and efficiently, taking apart the the dryer quickly, testing voltage and putting everything back together again properly. Although a part of me feels silly for paying the diagnostic fee when the dryer didn't need actual fixing, Scott's fee was pretty reasonable. He responded quickly and was extremely polite. I'm hoping none of my appliances give out anytime soon, but I wouldn't hesitate to call Scott again. read more

This was my first time ever needing an appliance service. I'm glad I used yelp and found Express Appliance Service. Scott is the man! He is knowledgeable, considerate and fast. His prices are reasonable as well. I saw a poor review from the past, and I feel completely different. I like how he calls and ask if it is ok he comes at the time YOU agreed on because things happen and plans change. We did have to reschedule but he didn't leave me hanging. We as customers value our time but mobile technicians value theirs as well, so like that he tried not to waste anyone's time. He explains issues and repairs well and is very kind and personable. He also is health and safety conscious of this pandemic and wore a mask and frequent sanitized his hands. (He liked that I had a mask on too **hint hint***) He got my business for any appliance repairs in the future! read more

Express Appliance Service is top notch! Scott troubleshooted via phone call with us regarding the issues with our Electrolux fridge when it went on the blink yesterday. He was able to diagnose the problem and then came to our rescue in person with the necessary part a few hours later. Scott got back to me in just a few hours and was able to fit me into his schedule the next day. He knew everything there is to know about my fridge, and had it up and running in less than an hour, for way less than I expected it to cost. updating my review. So disappointed. Scott was great for a quick fix for my dryer. But when it came to the washer it was a totally different story. He ran it once while he was fixing the dryer, said it was fine without taking a look--claiming he could "hear" that it worked well. When I tried to do a load, it was clearly broken not spinning, timer not working, machine timing out half through cycle. I called him again, and after not returning my call for 4 days he said he could come by the next day and that he was sure he knew what was wrong with it and he had the part. I reminded him that I work with a warranty company and that he would need to have me call the while he was on site. He refused, saying he was too busy to deal with waiting on hold (the 3 other times I called there was no waiting at all). I told him I'd rather he didn't come out that day and only to come when he had time for this warranty follow up. He pressed really hard and told me that he wouldn't charge me anything for the visit until he "made it right" with the warranty company. He came out, took a look at the machine, said he couldn't fix it and had to leave. Promised he would call the warranty company that day and "make it right" and call me right back. That he would tell them he "condemned" the machine. No call back that day (a Thursday), no call on Friday. No contact all weekend. Finally got a call on Monday at 10AM claiming that he hadn't called the warranty company yet and wasn't sure that he had all the right info (which I had given him when he was here last week). I reviewed it again and reminded him that he said he wouldn't charge me until it was "right" with the warranty company. He said he'd call and make it "right." I said, " so can I expect to hear back from you today?" He said no, he was working until 6 or 7PM tonight and wouldn't have time to call the warranty company until tomorrow. I said that wasn't okay and he hung up on me. I will not be working with Express Appliance again. I'm not questioning his ability to fix things, but customer service is part of running a company and making promises you don't keep, acting like everything is fine, and hanging up on a customer is unacceptable. read more

Scott did a great job for us this week fixing our refrigerator that had broken down. It was a big problem because new refrigerators are in shorter supply during the pandemic, and our built-in space is a few inches shorter than most new refrigerators. I phoned Scott because he fixed our dishwasher five years ago and it's worked well ever since. And the refrigerator maker said the earliest appointment they had was ten days out. Scott came out the same day I phoned, got it running, and came back the next day to install a second part at no extra charge. He phoned me the day after that to make sure everything was working fine. Overall, Scott fixed the problem and more than a week sooner than the other repair service could get here. He's friendly and very knowledgeable and easy to work with. read more

Unfortunately this was the worst experience our company has ever had with an appliance repair man. Scott is a friendly guy but is not dependable. Bottom line-he doesn't show up and he doesn't call to tell you he isn't going to show up. We had 4 no-call-no-shows over the course of three weeks. He came and looked at the dishwasher 3 days after he said he would, with no apology for his delay, told us he had to order a special motor, (which we waited a week for it to "come in"). It supposedly came in on the Wednesday and he said he would come on Friday at 3- he never showed up and never called. My boss called him on the following Monday (after I had called twice and left a voicemail) from a new number (we believe he started to screen the calls from our company) and he told us again that we would definitely come that night, he didn't, and didn't call. Finally by Tuesday night he still hadn't called us so we left him a voicemail that we needed to find someone else. We had 40 people waiting for this dishwasher to be fixed for 3 weeks.Still haven't heard anything from him. read more
