First off, a few words about the company: I got a text message informing me that my electrician was on his way to my place. In that message, I could see a picture of my electrician (Alex.K), a description of his background and profile. Which I appreciated, in a sense that I knew who to expect and not a total stranger. Overall, a great company and very professional. Alex.K first called me to let me know that he was on his way to my house and gave me an ETA. Upon arrival, Alex got greeted by my dogs and I was pleasantly surprised that he is a dog friendly person! A plus for me as I didn't have to round up the dogs and lock them in room all day. Alex.k went to two different suppliers to get the parts I need and kept me informed on what he found. He is a source of knowledge and took the time to explain to me all that I needed to know. He even made a recommendation about reconditioning my electrical panel. Not something I was aware when I bought my house18 years ago. I know about maintenance on a car and changing the oil, but nothing about that electrical panel. I had him service it the following day. I am so glad I did, as I became concerned about safety and will be saving so much money down the road by doing so now. Alex.k changed all the breakers and completely recondition the panel. He did such a good job. All in all, I can't say enough good things about Alex.K. He is polite, courteous, very knowledgeable, hard working (stayed until 9pm both times to finish the work). I had a terrible experience with this company and would not use them. To begin, their website clearly states someone will come out in 60-90 min, well I called them at 11 am for an emergency situation (no power to kitchen and bathrooms, including fridge) and they did not send someone out until 5pm, 6 hours!!! When an electrician finally made it out to my house, he would not tell me the problem, instead he took a bunch of pictures of my plugs and switches and then went out to his truck for about 20 min. Upon returning he sat me down to give me 3 options for fixing my "problem", which btw he still could not tell me the issue. He told me I needed a whole new panel and in order to get things working again it would be $13,000!!! When I laughed at him he told me he could give a very nice 10% off...haha! I told him I did not appreciate the hard sell, I never do any sort of big job without at least 3 bids, and that his company falsely advertised turn around time and had ruined my entire day not to mention everything in my fridge. I paid him the the hefty $50 fee for doing nothing and sent him on his way. I then called All City Electric who sent an incredible electrician out by the name of Andrew who had then entire problem fixed in 10min and only charged me $300. read more

Edit: 8/1/17 @ 6:00 PM Today at 1:40pm I got an unexpected phone call from Raul said he is coming back to work a day early and he can come out to my house to check the power outage around 5-6pm. I was surprise that they have him coming back so early. I want to apologize for any convenient that I may cause Raul. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced electrical technician he does his job very well done. If I can have two rating I would give Raul a 5 star. Because of this delay taking so long to come back out and see why the same breaker line has no power outage again I can only give a 4 star. Power outage is a serious problem, it can cause fire if not treated right away especially the same line that has been work on. I want to thank you the company for caring and listening to their customer and made a great turn around by sending someone out right away to resolve my power outage. This was my 2nd time using Express Electrical Services. The lead technician, George Correa, was a real pro: performed quality work, explained things very well, was on time, & solved the immediate problem while also providing a roadmap for the future involving multiple options. I hope the owner pays this guy well as the job he performed, involving a faulty outlet & replacement of 50 year old wiring, required him to cut through the ceiling & support studs; nearly 12 hours of work he performed with a smile & resourcefulness, he could've used a helper on what likely was bidded as a 2 man job. Additionally, Rene (the drywall patch & paint specialist) also gets high marks as he was on time, performed great work, & was very pleasant to work with. Both these guys are a tremendous asset to the company. I would not do business with Express Electrical if it were not for these two knowledgeable gentlemen. ASK FOR WALLACE!! We are having our 100 year old home completely rewired so it's no small job and Wallace and his team have been unbelievably thorough and respectful of our home and it's history. He has been absolutely wonderful. Wallace is incredibly meticulous and cares about every detail no matter how small. His focus is ALWAYS on doing it right and not just checking it off the list. He is always thinking through every scenario and consulting us as home owners to make sure we are 100% satisfied with the final outcome. Long story short, we had a disaster at work with our electricity (no computer, phones, lights). After a quick google search we called this company and the next day a tech named Art came out. For two full days he checked (and corrected) all our wiring (which was a train wreck), got everything back up and running, and even replaced the ballasts in our lights which we managed to short out, along with nearly everything else. I can't say enough about his knowledge and work ethic. We were mentioning how pleasantly surprising that was, as we paid upfront so when they say they work by the job and not by the hour they backed it up. My grandmother lost power throughout her home this past weekend. My neighbors referred me to Express. I was a little doubtful, being that it was two females who knew nothing about electrical problems and one of us was elderly. From start to finish I was very happy with the service. The girls on the phone are very professional and pleasant to talk to. They sound like they actually cared! Oren came out and fixed the problem. He made sure my grandmother (I know) knew what he was doing and why. Oren was honest and got straight to the point. I saw on previous reviews that pricing was high and they took advantage of the elderly buuuut I didn't get that at all. Express Electrical are the best and most honest contractors I've ever worked with. After a hellish day with Powell Electric who lied to me, telling me that I needed more than what Edison had recommended. As they tried to convince me that I needed $8,000.00 worth of work because as they Powell said Edison did not know what they were talking about and Edison's recommendations would not pass inspection. So, they left, doing no work and with my $399.00 debit transaction. So I called Express Electrical. The electrician Franco was competent and confident. He did the job that Edison asked for and I passed inspection. The cost was one third of what Powell asked for. I highly recommend Express Electrical. They will get the job done at a fair price. Well. I normally don't gives reviews but after having such a wonderful experience with EES it was definitely a must. To start my home insurance denied my claim to fix electrical work and the hunt began.. After reading other reviews and availability of many companies EES was the only company available and came out within 30-45 min.. From the beginning Bianca was sweet and sent out a tech ASAP. I used Express Electrical when I moved into my new house for some of the electricial problems my new house had. So I went online and I did some research and I called them and I spoke to this very friendly staff, and there price was very fair, compare to the other place I called. So I told her I need a person to come in asap. I thought it would take them 2-3 days to come in, but they told me they can come in within a few hour, which made me very happy, because I needed it to work asap. So anyway they came in, and they were able to fix the problem, without any problem. I am 100% impressed with this company's customer service. I called in at 5 pm on Sunday and was able to get an electrician over the very next morning! My electrician Wallace is the nicest, most knowledgeable and professional electrician I could have asked for! He knew exactly what the issue was, and not only that but even took the time to explain to me how to correctly place the wiring since it was an older building (built in the 70s). These are the best guys to work with, by far! Tony came in to fix our ice machine on one occasion and our walk-in refrigerator on another occasion. Their pricing has been the most competitive from all the other vendors I've had to deal with. Service was great, super straight forward. Definitely keeping them on my speed dial for further repairs in our cafe kitchen. REVISED REVIEW: They started out great but there was a miscommunication when it was time to get the city inspector to sign off and approve the work. The scheduling team didn't notify the workers on the schedule, the inspector came without us knowing and we didn't pass. We made several attempts to contact the workers, or dispatchers and only after a scathing online review did they respond. Once we got their attention, they came and finished the job. We got the work approved by the city inspector. They did great work, but there were some moments of frustration. In the end, it all worked out. read more
