Hector and his team were professional and honest with their electrical work. 2 years ago, they installed 9 brand new recessed lighting in the ceiling of family room, a difficult location with no attic space and a strangely configured/placed power draw from existing dull track lights. They were able to install all 9 with no cosmetic issue to the ceiling and also rerouted the power draw so it is accessible for future potential upgrades. Just today, Hector and his team installed 2 outdoor outlets with bubble cover. The resulted work was clean, functional, and professional. I plan to call Hector for any electrical need. read more

Hiring Right Connections was the BEST choice I could have made for my electrical project. My wife and I had spent the better part of a year to bid out (and save enough $$$) for this project. My house was built in 1927 and most of the original wiring was deteriorating. This project was a TOTAL rewire of the house and was brought up to code. Hector (main POC) took in all my requests (no matter how small) and made sure every ask I made was met. Raul was at my house most days along with at least 1 or 2 other staff. All of the Right Connections staff was cognizant of wearing masks at all times. We strategized every morning to see which part of the house they needed access to, then I stayed in a different part of the house so they could work unencumbered. As as FYI, this project took about 12 total working days. They cleaned up after every work day (inside and out). I cannot say enough great things about Right Connections! I interviewed at least four electricians to install a 240 V box in my garage for my electric car. I eventually went with this company because I found them friendly and very knowledgeable to my questions. They came with a team of two or three people and installed the box and wired the appropriate connections to my panel. They had to go underneath the house all the way to the other side from where I wanted it in the garage. They did it in a few hours and they were extremely friendly and I would highly recommend them to people needing this type of installation. Hector is the owner and he is very personable and responds rapidly to my inquiries. These guys are incredible. We recently got a jacuzzi for our backyard and we needed an electrician to come and add a switch to our circuit breaker for the spa. We also needed a special plug installed so I was trying to get a couple quotes from different local electricians. These guys were quick to get back to me and also the ONLY people to give me an honest quote. I had 2 other companies try and tell me that I needed a whole new panel (even though we still had space in our panel) and it was going to cost thousands. They came and gave me an estimate for a couple hundred bucks and I was thrilled. The day we scheduled for the actual install the guys showed up on time, were extremely courteous, and were quite fast. When it was all said and done they actually charged me LESS than my original quote, because I guess the voltage was less or something (I wouldn't have known the difference). Raul and Raymundo did such a great job! From the moment i contacted the company to set an appointment, they were extremely accommodating to my schedule, which was a huge relief! Raul clearly communicated the scope of work, before beginning the job. Even as they were doing the job, they discovered that they would have to create a hole and Raul brought this to my attention, explained what needed to be done and ensured that i was okay with this before moving forward. They also patched/painted the hole which was nice, as i was not expecting that. I really appreciated the clear line of communication as it prevented any possible misunderstandings and/or conflict. We had Right Connections to replace an old wire which brings power from main house to a detached garage. They responded to our call timely, and gave us a reasonable quote. They spent time to explain why extra work is needed (because the current building code no longer allows power lines to go across the air between roofs, so some underground/ under house wiring is needed), and did what they said will be done. I minus 1 stars only because they could have the power line underground for 1 more yard then go straight up to the garage, but they had the cable came out from ground 1 yard early so they had to make a turn on the outside wall. However, that is only a look problem, not any safety issue. And the end result still falls in what we had agreed on beforehand. We are overall happy with their service, and will likely to call them again if we ever need more service. read more

I was told that the electricians were busy with a "big project" and that they would not be available until mid-December. I understood and was booked for a date. Come mid-December, I called to follow up. I was told that a message would be left for Hector to confirm the day and time. No return call. I called again two weeks later in early January. I was told that Hector would call me back to schedule an appt. Nothing. I sent an email to the company last week asking if they had any availability, and if not, I'd look for someone else. No reply. Hector and his team are amazing. The major item was power for a gate motor. The gate company that I was going to use, referred me to him and I haven't looked back. His team ran the power to the gate, installed two sockets near our fireplace and an outside front porch light (needed to have power run and switch installed). He was prompt and upfront about the scale of work. What I loved, was he was respectful of my house, kept it very clean and was complimentary of the work that was done by the electrician that was used on the flip my wife and I purchased. He could have easily not said a word, but his reassurance of the electrical in my house made him a keeper in my book. The above review was done in April and I should have helped Hector out by entering it on Yelp months ago. Either way, I called him back on July 29th for another socket in the kitchen, plus some other small items. He came in and let me know what he would be checking for and how any issues would make the scope of work bigger or smaller based on his findings. All in all, he added a socket in the kitchen that looks great and was in and out with everything within an hour and a half. I keep his contact information on my phone and refer him whenever I have friends, family or neighbors that need electrical needs. The floor of our building (big corporate thing near LAX) is lacking electrical outlets and for reasons not worth describing, we (the tenants) were responsible for installing any new ones needed. After many weeks of talking to - and getting quotes from - electricians recommended by the building management, we were looking at about $3000 worth of work with none of these companies making time to put our small job on their schedule. So I checked Craigslist and found Right Connections. As mentioned in another review, they answered the phone and were able to come over that day to provide an estimate. They had the necessary bonding and insurance required by the building and came back the next day to do the work. My 84-year old mother, who is in fragile health, just moved in with me and even in the middle of the summer gets very cold when bathing. Up to today, I had an old, non-functioning Thermidor coiled bathroom heater, dating back to 1948 when the house was built. Since the bathroom is extremely small, there is very little space for a portable heater, and the sole outlet to plug it into is located in a small light fixture 6 feet from the floor. So I really needed help right away to accommodate my mom's needs and keep her healthy. I am so happy that I gave a call to Right Connections Electric. They actually answered the phone, rather than it going to voicemail. I called them in the middle of the afternoon and spoke to Oscar, the brother of the owner, Hector Torres. Hector was out on a job, but Oscar said they would be able to come between 7 and 8 pm. I was concerned that it would be too late for them, but Oscar said since it was urgent, they would come tonight. I asked if there would be an additional charge for coming so late, and he said no. So nice! Sure enough, at 7:15 pm they pulled up in a beautiful electricans' van with a big blue ladder on top. Hector and Oscar shook my hand as they came in and were so very polite and quite gentlemanly. I showed them the bathroom heater but, even though it is ancient, Hector did not press me to install a new one. He did caution me how the heater is in an unsafe location (right next to the bathtub) and furthermore has the kind of electric coils and outer grill that can get hot and be dangerous, especially if young children are around. Because of the hazardous location of the heater, he informed me that any new bathroom heater would, by law, have to be installed in the ceiling, which of course he could do. Nevertheless he offered to take the heater out of the wall and troubleshoot the problem to see if repairs could be made, which is a legal alternative. Before doing so, Oscar and Hector checked my two fuse boxes to make sure that the problem wasn't simply caused by a switch being in the off position. Since this wasn't the case, they returned to the bathroom and removed the heater from the wall. Hector quickly and expertly determined that the white return wire had no electrical charge, so they traced which fuse box it connected with. In doing so, they discovered that the wiring for the heater had been disconnected at the fuse box. Hector re-connected the wiring correctly, quickly reinstalled the heater, and tested it out. Those two old coils turned a happy orange color once again! I am happy to say the heater now works perfectly and toasts up the bathroom nicely, making my mom one happy, comfortable lady. During this whole process, which took well under an hour, both Hector and Oscar were so friendly, kind, and well-mannered - impressing both my mother and myself. Oscar can be quite funny too and often had me laughing. To top it all off, they charged me a unbelievably modest service fee. They are, without a doubt, very honest and not out to take advantage of anyone. Furthermore, you can clearly see that they truly care about their work and care about people. These are two wonderful electricians whom I will definitely be calling again. I highly recommend them to you. read more

Although they gave me a quote via phone, Hector then drove to my house free of charge when there was a concern that the video that i took was unclear, because he wanted to ensure accuracy in fair quote he provided. Scheduled an estimate in a 3 hour window. I was told the electrician would come by in the middle of that window. The electrician never showed up and called me well after the appointment time to inform me he fell behind doing other work and sorry he did not call. I am not sure why he could not at least call to let me know he was not going to make it on time. Here is where things go from bad to worse: I was told he did not have time come by to do the estimate on the day and my written estimate would be $45. Of course this was never discussed when I set up the appointment. I question the practice of charging a client money for estimate of work as well. I told the electrician I really needed someone to come by on the day and apparently making an appointment is not worth anything. I would recommend not doing business with this company. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Hector and his team. I was referred to him by an old neighbor and I couldn't be more pleased with their work and professionalism. We recently bought a house in April that was built in the 1950s and needed to rewire the entire house and garage to get it up to code. All of our outlets were two prong and needed to be grounded and made into three prong outlets. We had contacted other electricians who didn't want to put the effort into rewiring the entire house but Hector assured us that this was the proper thing to do. He did not want to take shortcuts and he knew it was going to be a lot of work. We needed all of this done in one week so that we could move in as we had renters that were going to be moving into our old place. Hector and his team finished the rewiring and replaced all of our ceiling lights within that week and finished right in time for us to move in. We also had to have our electrical panel replaced. They did everything with quality work and they cleaned up everything before they left. Just today we had Hector come out to our house again because we had a buzzing noise and couldn't tell what was causing it but we knew it was coming from one of the old electrical wires outside. The noise had been keeping us up at night and was the loudest right above our baby's room. Hector came to our house within an hour and a half and located the buzzing sound and was able to disconnect that wire. What a relief! Very pleased with the work. A few small quibbles, but all in all a great company and very quality work. I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. Hector and his crew performed a complete re-wire of a house we recently purchased. They were able to run wires without tearing up walls, and completed the work as we agreed upon. The good: -Quality work that I have great confidence in. -Very nice and hard-working crew. -Work performed exactly as wanted and agreed upon. -Quoted price was upheld. -They did complimentary patching of about half the holes they made in the walls. My minor quibbles: -They cut a hole in the ceiling for a smoke detector in the wrong spot. The patch job they did on the popcorn ceiling is hideous, and needs to be cut out and re-done. -The job took about 4 days longer than they estimated. My impression was that they had moved onto a new job, and had minimal resources to wrap up mine. -The tail end of the job seemed rushed. The work done after their original estimated date of completion left much more debris and waste. -My original walk-through to get a quote was no-called and no-showed. Only after calling them back to ask what was up did they re-schedule. -Cigarette butts were left around my property. read more

I review a lot of places and some earn a 5 star because they do what I paid them to do but this is a 5 star for literally saving me from a lot of other places that would have never been able to do what they did. First, Karina, the woman that returned my e-mail and contacted me to set up my appointment was very nice and understanding. I work business hours so we played phone tag for a few days but she kept returning my calls and I appreciated her patience. Then Raul arrived and I got out of his way. I didn't have electricity in my bedroom and he took him fixing an outlet in the spare bedroom to get my electricity back. He didn't just give up her did a nice round of troubleshooting before he found it, fixed it and was ready to go.
