We reached out to them to help them initially, to inform them another copycat company appeared to be pretending to be them. So when they then offered to come out to service our home, you'd think they'd be on it. Think again. After moving around our own appointments to accommodate them, they made us wait hours. No text, No call, No show. We called them and were told the tech 'was running a little late' and he was just leaving (wait)... To go to A-NOTHER house - Not us!! THEN he could come by. Blah blah. I'd be embarrassed to even say that to a customer after what they'd done. Our day was shot because of them. Unprofessional + unacceptable. We'd used them before with good results so we called again. Surprised and elated to have them come same day, and it was fixed right away. These are my "go-to" heating and air conditioning people. Integrity counts and Tim has it. There was a hiccup and they made it right. We called Express HVAS the first time about five years ago and have been pleased. On their second visit (a few houses back), they were a second opinion (reality check) on a provider recommended by a warranty company. The recommended clown said $1200. Express said $80. I don't recommend Express HVAC. Run and find someone else. You see, most AC units when they break can be diagnosed and fixed by a technician with few years of experience. However, when things does not go too well, that is when you need a reliable company with professional, expert, and passion to chase your problem and fix it so that you as a client are served correctly. Well, express HVAC failed on all aspects. Even though my AC was less than two years old with an easy fix. They just screwed up. Hence I don't recommend them and I highly advise you to avoid them unless you want to be in the house of pain. Don't try your luck with them in central Texas triple digit heat days. You will regret it. Here is what happened with me: My downstairs AC unit, less than 2 years old stopped working. I called express HVAC as I saw a post in our community said the owner lives in community and I thought ok give him my businesses since he is a neighbor. Next day they sent me a technician. The time slot was 3 to 5 and he arrive passed 6. I can tell the guy was working all day as he looked tired and overworked. I offered him water and ice. He started to diagnose the issue. He could not figure it out. This is when experience, and honestly matters. He should have just said I don't know. But he did not, he started to guess. He said, maybe you have rodents! They chewed the wire. So I said: easy: run a continuity test with your multimeter and you can see if the wires have any break in them. Oh, yeah, I can do that. He ran the test and all checked ok. Then he said, oh the problem is your thermostats! These do not go bad that often, but I told him ok let's replace it. So we replaced it. (I had an a thermostat I was planning to install, so I said: ok here is a new unit. Let's change it. So he changed it. It did not work. He went to the unit and started to mess with the control board. He burned like 4 fuses!!! Then he said: your transformer is bad. I said ok, let's replace it. He replaced it. Here is the second problem: he replaced it with a used transformer and a different spec. Not new. I told him, it looks old, has tape all over it, he said oh, it was sitting in my car with a tape on it. (New ones come inside a box, so I knew he was not telling me the truth, but I just wanted the AC to work. That did not solve the issues, and he played with the control board and instead of it saying code 0, ready it was now blinking error code I think 20 then it stopped working completely. He started to google the stuff. I kid you not. He started to google for answers!!! When I saw that, I said enough. You are tired, clearly not the issues you had described. We agreed that he will talk to customer service and to schedule me the next day to solve it. The next day comes, no calls. I called the office several times, and a nice lady answered, but really not helpful, she could not schedule me and she said they will call me. Few hours later, no calls. I called again and again and till she answered and she said: they left you a voicemail mail. I said I am using the phone now, and no voice mail. Then she gave me the technician phone. I called him and he said: I talked to customer service and we need to replace your board and fan! I said no thanks. I will get another second opinion. I called green leaf, they came the next day the told me the transformer he installed was bad, old and had to be replaced and whatever the other tech did he screwed the board and fried it. Once the power is back, it was just the conductor outside. No need to replace the fan! This company should have trained its employees to say I don't know. Not to just go on a mission to replace every part out there. Especially for new units. Train them to call each other when they need help, not google for answer. If you promise to call, do it. I am checking this company off my list. read more

Never did I say I needed one today I was looking for someone for the weekend or next week. But they may have some good review because Yelp hides the bad ones that will hurt them. My A/C unit started failing and left me to try to find a repair service at 5 pm. Two local companies didn't answer their phones, but Express did and made arrangements to get a technician to my house within 2 hours. Tanner managed to patch up my system temporarily while I shopped for a new system. I obtained two estimates and elected to go with Tim and Express HVAC. The installation team arrived as scheduled and worked through brutal conditions in a 140* attic to get the job done. All were professional and courteous. They corrected many design flaws from the old installation and did a beautiful job on the new unit. It works great; we'll see how they do on any follow-up calls, but at this point I'm really impressed. Thanks, Express! read more

I found these guys online and called them up with my AC was not producing cold air. They offered two types of plans to come out and check my unit. They discovered that I had a bad coil which leaked out all of the R-410a refrigerant. The good news is that the coil was still under warranty. The bad new is that I would also need to replace the secondary pan and liquid line driver. Didn't sound too bad. With the coil under warranty from Carrier the estimate to repair was $1500 for labor and $540 to refill the refrigerant. At a minimum this would come in well over $2,000. Crazy shocker. I thought best to engage some buddies I know and get a second opinion. Long story short I had another company come in and they agreed that it was a bad coil and what needed to be repaired was in line. They also discovered that I had a faulty damper preventing airflow to the kids bedroom. I thought great. More money. Fixing everything including the damper came in close to 50% less than this estimate. I never shared the estimate with the second company to be fair. It appeared that Express was way over charging on the R-410a and labor rate. My disappointment is in the fact that I paid Express HVAC a $79 fee to come out and diagnose my issue. Do some homework and call around to a few companies. The ones that want to earn your business will come out and give you an honest estimate free of charge in an effort to earn your business. We can't be experts in all fields such as HVAC, auto repair, construction etc... I hate being taken advantage of and feel Express HVAC did just that. Great lesson for me. read more

Our heater stopped running unexpectedly and we reached out to Tim at Express HVAC service. He promptly had Jennifer his office manager call us to setup a visit and she was great in answering all of our questions. They gave us a two hour window for Omar their technician to come. Omar called 30 minutes before coming out. Once there, he did a through inspection of our heater, found the problem (a new thermostat) and explained everything in detail. We appreciated Tim, Jennifer and Omar for working to get our problem solved as soon as possible. read more

I have been dealing with Express for the past three years. They were the only company I found that would help me get immediate financing on a new HVAC, during a point in my life that I had no money available and my unit was totally unrepairable any longer. Mid Summer, feeling alone and desperate, Tim found me a top of the line unit that he gave me at very fair pricing. Believe me, I did a lot of reading on brands and expected prices. I didn't just take anything, off brands and such. I haven't had a bit of trouble and just had my annual Fall checkup, included in my maint. contract, also very inexpensive. Long story short, we were not happy with the services we received from this company. No communication and long delays. They did fix what they came out to fix but then we were told the thermostat is now broken and needs to be replaced. The thermostat is only 4 years if that. We told them we would deal with that at a later time as we were already irritated by their service. Came home, re-installed the thermostat and it worked. We are not A/C techs and so when a professional informs us that something is broken we put our trust in them. Be careful with these scams of "fixing" what is not broken just to make a buck. read more

This company is the most responsive I have ever worked with. Our A/C unit finally quit on us at the end of last summer, and they were the first online request for inspection I made. Literally within 30min the owner had called me back directly, and at 8:30p! The workers who installed the indoor/outdoor unit were friendly and efficient, even when working in such hot conditions and small spaces. Unfortunately, we had a rare manufacturer defect issue come up with the unit, but Express handled it absolutely as soon as possible, literally even sending a tech out on Thanksgiving morning (bc of course, when does the A/C quit again? When you have nine people coming to the house in four hours! ha). Everything from the manufacturer end is resolved, and I have had multiple phone calls and personal interactions with the owner Tim throughout the process. Express HVAC was a very bad experience for me. I called Melissa who gave me the cell phone number of Tim, the owner, to tell him about the smell coming from the AC unit in a rental. He said he would send someone out for $79. Tanta showed up & could not find the problem and from there put on his salesman suit and began to try to sell me new systems on two of my rentals, new thermostats, a one year service policy with all the bells and whistles. He suggested he clean the outside unit from grass clippings which I agreed to, and then he said he had to replace a capacitor. I then asked him to clean the outside unit of my other rental next door, which he did, but said it didn't look the right size for the house, but in fact it was. That's when he tried to convince me to replace the thermostats which were only 2 yrs old on both rentals. He then calculated on his tablet a big amount for his services and then told me he could put me on a yearly contract, saving me a lot of money. I agreed and then he came back a few days later to hose out the outside units of another rental on the same property and put the wrong size capacitor on the unit and the tenant told me the next day the AC wasn't cooling like before. I called him back out and he told me the compressor was gone. I began to get a sick feeling, like I was dealing with a dishonest person. He complained that the 5 yr old Carrier was a cheap unit, which it wasn't, and that he could sell me a used compressor or a new one. But at this point I did not trust him. He called later & offered an $800 used one. I called my trustworthy AC repairman that had been on vacation when I originally called Express and by now he was back in town & came to check it out. My compressor was fine. Tanta had put the wrong capacitor on it. This service call cost me $195. I then called Tim, the owner, to tell him of Tanta's bad assessment & how I felt he was on commissions to sell and not do proper services and he said he felt bad about this and would send me a check. I told him he did not have to refund the entire $1095, but I wanted a reasonable amount refunded because I had to incur another charge to repair what Tanta had done wrong and that was $195. He sent me a check for only $250. That means for $1040. I got four outside units hosed clean. I really got hosed by this company and I am not happy about it. I hope whoever reads this finds a reputable company to do their air conditioning and heating services and not Express HVAC, Georgetown, Tx. read more

We call Tim and his crew for all issues with HVAC and water heaters. He replaced one of our units 2 years ago and we were very pleased with the price and expertise. Recently late on a Saturday we had water in our hallway and was not sure if the older AC unit or the water heater was the issue. Tim treated this as an emergency and was here on a Sunday morning to diagnose the problems and complete the cleanup of the water. We put a plan in place to resolve the problems. Tim went above and beyond to come to our aid and this outstanding service is greatly appreciated. We choose to go with a new AC unit. Tim's crew installed the unit in August, 2014, which was the day after. We chose to go with Tim because he is a veteran, both in the AC world and for his service to this country. Tim is very responsive and will take great care of you. Also, the same person that installed the unit, is the same person that services the unit. Its nice to not have to explain anything to someone different, each time they come out.
