I have been using Quality for a few years now. They perform regular maintenance on my unit and advise on ways to extend the life of my unit. They are not pushing services and are just helpful. Tony came in today for my six month check up and was friendly and all around nice. Then again, they always are. My unit has been discontinued so we talked about things to look out for since summer is coming. Never had a bad experience with this company. Very friendly staff. They seem to always want to help you extend the life of your unit and show you how doing little things help your unit run better. Highly recommend this company. Ask for Tony! I've used Quality for emergency repairs in my rental before and loved their customer service and fairness in terms of pricing. I used them the other day for my annual heating check up and can safely say they've got a lifetime customer from me if they keep up the good work. Riley and Thomas showed up right on time (the earliest part of the window I was provided, with a text before hand to make sure I was good for their arrival) and got to work right away checking everything over. My system is only 3 or 4 years old so there were no surprises, they did a glue job on some insulation that was coming off to prevent it becoming an issue in the future, which I appreciate. I just had the most amazing experience with two very knowledgeable techs named Tyler and Riley. If you are looking for an honest HVAC provider who is professional and thorough look no further. I have 2 systems and I couldn't believe that they were here analyzing my system for over two hours. They shared with me about 40 pictures and very detailed information about the work they did, the items that were important (Pressures, buildup, burner operation and color, etc..) and truly educated me. They found issues that should have been obvious and corrected by my previous HVAC company. After a nightmare of a time with a different HVAC company our Home warranty reassigned us to Quality Cooling & Heating. Within 30 minutes of my work order getting created, I received a call from Quality to schedule. They had a cancellation and could come within the hour. Yes please! Colby was here for maybe 20 minutes? He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue, and took the time to show us exactly what was wrong. Now I have a broken capacitor as a souvenir, ha. I didn't catch her name but the scheduling lady was also incredibly kind & friendly, exactly the type of person you would want to start your day talking to. I know the AC companies are having a hard time, but this one failed to come out anywhere near the time that they said they would, and when the technician came out, late in the evening after the appointment window, he said he needed we needed a new blower motor far outside the compressor unit. I contacted the company During business hours to ask how long it would take to get the partand they said they were waiting for an answer from their supplier I didn't get an answer for several days so I asked again and I got the same answer. They never sent the part and they told the Warranty companies it Was nevver reported to them that I needed a new part. If they didn't know I need apart why did they tell me that they were waiting for an answer from their supplier? Fast forward a week, and The service tech came back out, and called the office from my house and told them I needed a new blower unit and I could tell from the conversation that they told him he could come over in the morning and get part. The next evening I contactedthe technician directly & told me he was not able to get the part. Quality AC told the warranty company they had resolve the issue and closed the ticket I contacted the warranty company and they had it re-opened with quality air, I ended up just paying To have one installed out-of-pocket because after all it's 100 - 105° In the Austin area right now. I purchased a new A/C unit from them in 2021. They brought and installed a different unit than they listed on my invoice but didn't mention it. They also installed the cutoff valve in a way that it couldn't be accessed if needed. I had them correct it. Now in 2025 at almost 4 years old they tell me that the motherboard needs to be replaced and under warranty for the parts the labor would be over $800. I questioned it and asked how long the job took. The employee said a few hours and although I stated that was still extremely high for labor I let them continue, He returned and replaced the board in 25 minutes. I questioned him on it because $800+ for 25 minutes of labor is absurd. His only response was that he had gotten pretty quick at it.... I will not speculate as to their ridiculous pricing but wanted people to know what they can expect from this company. Colby Smith, a Master Technician, ran diagnostics, showed me results of tests he ran, and let me know all options available to me regarding needed repairs. He was very patient in answering all my questions and let me know how best to achieve my desired outcome. I asked for a call from the manager while the tech was on site and I filled out a survey on their site a week after I decided not to use them. I never heard back so I will share my experience. The issues: I was quoted $1,800 to replace a blower motor in a carrier air handler. Its about an hour of labor. Part is $750. To get it done I offered them $1,200 since they already made it out to my house and could get the part quick. $1,200 is the top end of expensive but the tech stuck to his guns (I had him call the office to make sure the price was correct) I have enough contacts in the industry to know that $1,800 to replace a blower motor in a 3,000 sq ft residential attic space with enough headroom to stand was outrageous enough to get laughter- so I went another route. The tech had a lot of knowledge but it was obviously a sales heavy site visit. I do believe they would do a good job and I feel confident they would stand behind their work but c'mon with the prices..$500-$600 an hour in labor?! read more

Yet another company in Leander and the surrounding area who says they offer 24 hour emergency service but really doesn't unless you ha e a service contract with them. False advertising house ws 90+ degrees didn't care stopped making calls at 8pm. If you don't offer emergency service stop lying to potential customers. This is just another reason this town has turned to CRAP. No sense of truth, honor or customer service. Sad when yiu contact a dozen plus companies who claim they offer 24/7 emergency service but it's a LIE just to get you to schedule service at a later date as if you don't need service now and are willing to be over charged later. I am very unhappy with the cost of my service, not the service person who I believe did his work. I was charged $530 for what took him at most 30 minutes to fix, no parts were involved other than a bit of solder, just a copper weld. Yes, I agreed to this before hand, but I might point out this is way above what most anyone makes doing anything, including doctors and lawyers. I want to pay a reasonable fee for the service performed, this business has set fees for things that are totally unreasonable. My service person also installed freon. I found out that an entire canister (25 lbs) of freon costs about 100 plus dollars. Daniel said I needed 13 lbs. he went to get it somewhere. So, they used approximately half a canister, (13 lbs) to put into my system once they sealed the leak and it cost me $585.00. This process took again, at most, 45 minutes including a trip to go get the freon. I don't live near any stores. According to home advisor it should take 5-10 min to install one pound of freon, but somehow Daniel was able to get 13 lbs installed in about 20 minutes. They also mentioned that installation charge should be $70 per hour. Now I am left wondering how much freon was really installed. All in all, I would be very careful, check their quotes with others before hiring them. Supposedly my work is guaranteed but I received no written document stating such. The entire service, including leaving to go and get the freon lasted one hour and 30 min. and I am out $1200.00 plus. I want to know what someone can do for you that you think is worth that much. The materials price were a tiny portion of this charge, probably less than $100. This work happened on Labor Day, but that was an extra $24, so the service call was $99 rather than $75. If you are interested, let me tell you more. Supposedly, my fix could have taken much longer (lets say 8 hours) and their policy is to charge everyone the same no matter how long it takes. I don't know about you but i am not interested in paying other people's bills. Plus, I am no longer naive enough to believe if they had a difficult time finding a leak, they wouldn't just decide that they could not find it and say you needed a new coil or a new unit, they are not going to spend an entire day finding your leak. The honest way to go about doing this, if this is a company policy, is to tell people that they may find the leak and fix it in 30 minutes or it may take 8 hours, but you will still be charged $530. This way you know you are involved in gambling and you know they have committed to an 8 hour search if you have a difficult find. Instead they infer, by the way they tell you, that this service is worth $530, when it may not be, as in my case. But if you did know it could take 30 minutes (and in my case it didn't really even take that long), you will ask why they charge $530 if it's a 30 min fix and find out that behind their pricing is a method they have of controlling what, I am sure they know, is the best win win for them. They are not trying to do the customer any favors. I will never deal with a company that has set prices for items that you have no idea how long it will take. I'll be looking for some honest guy trying to make an honest living. read more
