Backstory: My family and I planned a trip last summer to Vietnam and we needed to get our visas. We initially went to Universal Travel on 47th Ave. One of the agents that helped us told us that it would be $125 for a one month visa for Vietnam. My fiancé was skeptical because he said that it shouldn't be that expensive. While we were filling everything out, my fiancé called and asked her how much she usually pays for visas and she said that we were getting ripped off. Once we found out, we left and called around different agencies. We remembered there was a travel agency in the same plaza as Firehouse, where we eat occasionally, and decided to check it out. We went in and the couple were very welcoming and helpful. They only charge $80 for a one month visa! That's a $45 difference compared to the other place. I also went back there today for a one year visa which costs $215. Super cheap. Definitely go to Pacific Travel & Tours for your visas! P.S. Visas usually take about a week.

They made multiple errors on the very simple application that had to pointed out twice. In the list of documents they provided that we needed to have for the package they continuously forgot to include the name change order we needed to provide. Communication was horrible. The written instructions were not comprehensive and it took a phone call to figure out everything we had to do (like photographing the front and back of the sealed envelope). The worst part was that they booked the post office appointment an hour away at a location that did not do hand carry. We went an hour away to not get the service we paid an arm and a leg for. When we pointed out the egregious error to the company, the representative was rude and said it wasn't their fault. We will never use a visa company again because of this experience. What a rip off!

While sitting there I heard conversations about a range of free with a voucher to $40 and up to $80 for a simple electronic transmission of prints. The service took just over 25 minutes from walking in to registering, paying and then getting printed. The DISGRACE was the payment tablet actually asked for a tip of 15 to 25%. Really? The actual fingerprinting takes about 5 minutes and is transmitted electronically. That is the whole "service". Nearly ALL instances of getting fingerprints is a "requirement" for a job or volunteer situation. A tip, really? Not to mention that they have signed contracts with agencies for the exclusive and mandatory "service". So people cannot opt to go to RPD, SPD or the Sheriff's office where the fees are less than half the price and it would be illegal to accept a tip. I wonder if State regulators like the Nevada Gaming Control Board are aware that this business is soliciting tips from casino workers? Or if they share the tips with the agencies leadership?
