Best experience for an oil change EVER; my Jeep Mountain is 13 years old, so that is saying something! They checked all the fluids, headlights, taillights, turn signals, topped off fluids, told & showed me everything they did, didn't try to up-sell me on any services, but was most impressive is how they are NICE, FRIENDLY, POLITE, and HELPFUL! Overall good and fast service. They try to upsell you by trying to get you to changing the engine filter every time you go in for an oil change. That filter only needs to be changed every one or even every two years so just don't waste your money. They top off your fluids, which is good. Many places say that they do it, but here you're in the car so you see them do it. You don't know how many places I used (many dealerships) that say that they will top off your fluids and then you have to do it yourself the next day. Anyway, I like being in the car and seeing what these guys do. Recently, they started to also check your lights, which is great. They'll ask you to tap your breaks and turn on your turning signals so that they can make sure it's all working. Very smart and a nice touch. I wish they started to also check tire pressure. I always ask for it and when I do, they check it, but some of their guys assume that if I don't have warning lights for tire pressure then they can skip it, which I find ennoying - those things don't always work and do break. Not a big deal. Just ask them to check manually and you're good to go. read more

Tried to get an emission check done here, however their machine kept failing my car. Additionally, the guy that was testing my car informed me their test was only good for 90 days for 50$. After having a trusted mechanic check my car TWICE, I returned with confidence that my car would pass... Their emission detector continued to not receive a signal from my car and the guy insisted their was an electrical issue with my car. (Thankfully I was also not charged for both these emission checks, he stopped running the test once the first portion of the test failed) I drove to Double A Emissions right by the Walgreens on Pleasant Hill Road, completed an emission check, and only payed 15$. Oh and guess what? It is good for a whole year. From my current experience and perspective, Express Oil Change is not able to provide emission tests up to par with other services. I have not requested any repairs from this company, but am very skeptical from other negative reviews I have observed. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was very nice and professional. Avoid this place, unless you are looking for a fast oil change. P.S. I have no plan to return to this service in the future, but also understand that I have only utilized them on very few occasions. Maybe once or twice every 2 years for the past 5 years. read more

Been doing business with Tim and his crew for about 20 years now for emissions and lube but went there today and saw an almost all new crew. Heather seems to be the wrangler for the lube and emissions crew. I have come to these guys several times for my oil change and they do it in less than 30 minutes on my lunch break. The last time I came to see them was for something a bit more drastic. The A/C had gone out in my car... in June, in Georgia. These guys were able to run tests and assess my problem within the same day. When I took my car back to have the A/C fixed, it took almost a whole day and they were efficient, friendly, and helpful the entire time. Hats off to Express Oil Change for being clean, convenient, and extremely helpful when I had an issue with my car window! I originally called and spoke with the manager Tim about my problem and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the situation. It was clear he wasn't trying to upsell me on anything and had an idea of what they could do to fix the window based on his phone diagnosis. I have had the same issue with another window in my car and it was the same problem - the regulator busted and I needed to get it replaced. His confirmation of the issue without me telling him the background proved he wasn't just trying to make me spend more money like I have experienced with other places simply due to the fact that I am a women and therefore "have no idea what I'm talking about." I let him know I would be in later that day for him to take a look and confirm the findings. I swung by on my lunch break from work and was able to get my car looked at within 20 minutes. Tim pulled me over and showed me the exact problem and described in exact detail what would need to happen to get the regulator replaced and fixed so that my window would roll up and down again as opposed to being stuck in my door. The part I needed would take about a day to get into the shop and he was happy to make a follow appointment at my convenience. Until then, he was able to cut the regulator that was faulty and bolt the window in place so I wouldn't have a huge opening in my car until I was able to get it fixed. He assured me that the line was disconnected and the window securely fastened and that I wouldn't have any issues going forward until the regulator was replaced. This was a huge weight off my shoulders since that morning, my car window was open and it looked like rain would be in the forecast for the next day. The only thing I wish was a little different about the experience was that I had to track someone down to assist me instead of them greeting me upon arrival. It was a little confusing since there was no set counter where I could meet someone to talk about the services I needed done. Overall, I would happily recommend this location to friends and family for their attention to detail and great service! read more

They did my oil change quickly, I even seen them cleaning my windows! I asked them about doing a diagnostic because I recently bought my car used and they advised they did look over my car & everything looked good but if I had any concerns that they would address them. I didn't have any I just wanted to make sure everything with my car was ok. They even checked my back spare tire to make sure it was good since my car was bought used & filled it with extra air! However, came in for an oil change and they immediately told me that my car needed to have synthetic oil and it would cost me around $65 . Thanks but I know my car. I'm very confused as to how this place has a 5 star rating. I took my car in for an oil change and was told I needed two new tires. When I took my car in for tires, I was told I need 4 new tires and a new racks and pinions. A $30 oil change turned in to them telling me I needed to spend $1200. When I took my car in for a second opinion, the mechanic said all four of my tires would last another 20,000 miles and that the rack and pinions was not in dire need of replacement, but would need to be replaced within two years. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING BUT AN OIL CHANGE, THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUNG PEOPLE. read more

I've been coming to this place for several years now because I feel so comfortable getting my car worked on here. They always take good care of me and everything they say is reasonable. I never feel like they're trying to push options that I don't need. Oil changes and emissions are done quickly with a smile and they've gone out of their way to be helpful on several occasions. Today when I went in, I asked the manager, Tim, if he could look at the right front fender panel of my car and the wheel well, because I had hit something and knocked it out of place. I asked if he could give me a quote for replacing/repairing it. But instead, he got under there and put everything back into place while I was waiting for an oil change and didn't charge me a dime. I came here after a sudden auto failure left me with a car that wouldn't drive above 40 mph. I was completely panicking as I was in atl from out of town and could not foresee getting a major repair in time to return to charlotte on Sunday. Walt and Brandyn were incredibly kind and honest, calmed me down and diagnosed the issue as a loose intake hose and fixed it in ten minutes. To top this off? They didn't charge me a dime, since no work was technically done. I am so grateful to these guys for their help and highly recommend anyone needing repairs to stop by.
