They were very courteous and quick. I was passing by Memphis and needed oil change. Didn't had to wait long and staffs are very friendly.

The manager kept trying to pressure me into buying more and more, and saying oh there's a new thing wrong, every hour. It took 8 hours for them to get done. Then my car isn't working again in less than a month, because they didn't put screws back in right. putting my life in danger by not making sure everything was screwed back in. despite me paying over $600. this was my experience. the manager made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. I felt they did these things to me because I am a young girl in her 20's. this shop tries to take advantage of people and pressure them into getting stuff done they don't need done. then they can't even do their jobs right and fix the car. and I have to come back in less than a month to fight my case. read more

I would give this establishment a 5. Most technicians are very knowledgeable and nice. I always go to have air put in my tires , and have been a customer there of over 10 years. I even referred my son and daughter, who started to take their cars there. Today was a different experience for me . The technician in got really loud with a customer, then also started engaging other customers in the conversation . This unprofessional attitude did not set well with me at all. This man was yelling and talking how he did not like another customer. Sometimes you have to watch who you involve in your conversations. read more

Okay, I'm one of those guys who does his own car maintenance. I've no problem with tearing apart an engine completely, replacing whatever's broken, and putting it back together. I've done it multiple times, on multiple vehicles. Having said that, if I'm short on time (or more likely my garage is full of other stuff and I don't feel like cleaning it out) and need the oil changed in one of my vehicles - this is where I go. This isn't your typical quick oil change experience. For one thing, you never need get out of your car. For another, pretty much all of this type establishment advertises multi-point inspections. I've been to quite a few of them, and I've never been convinced they really do them. Not at the Express Oil on Covington Pike. I can feel the truck shift slightly as they apply torque at the rear differential to get the fill screw off. I hear the guy under the car call out that it's full, and the gear oil looks good. They check the oil level BEFORE they start working on the car and call out if it's low, and what the oil looks like. They open the doors and oil all of my hinges. They check all of my fluids, and top off anything that's low. They have me go through test my wipers, lights, signals, and horn. The guys are always friendly, courteous, and professional. On my last trip to them in my truck, I told them I needed to have my transmission fluid serviced as well as an oil change. I was about to have to go out of town for an emergency and didn't have time to do it myself. They changed my oil, but on checking the trans fluid told me it looked brand new. They asked how long it'd been since my last change - about 45,000 miles. Chevy says to change the fluid every 50k, but this is a heavy duty truck, and i've done some towing and hauling in it. But the assistant manager said the fluid was full and showed no sign of breakdown, so I left with jut an oil change.. What kind of quick oil change place turns down the opportunity to do a $200+ service that's mostly profit for them? Regardless of if it's needed or not? The kind that will continue to get repeat business from me. read more

I returned to Express Oil Change after taking a risk and trying another service company who offered a savings coupon. The competitor was a horrible experience due to the very long wait for an appointment date and when the service was actually done (oil change, tire rotation and wiper replacement), it took almost 1.5 hours to finish. When I recently called to see about an appointment time, they said it would be at least a month. I don't care how much "credit" that I have on their punch-card, I will not be going back to there if I can help it. There was no hesitation to come back to Express because of the very favorable experience I had in the past. The technicians have always been friendly and seemingly very knowledgeable. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. It would have been earlier but the tech noticed my brake light was out. He had it replaced within 5 minutes. Kudos to Express for providing a very positive customer service experience. read more

The team on Covington pike are legit. I get all of my oil changes done here. They will take care of you if you respect them of course. I got my serpentine and alternator replaced by Paul and he was great. My 05 Altima S is Happy. read more
