Contacted Morena about my windshield glass replacement at around 10am, she gave me a very competitive price (tax included, an all-in price) and came with mobile service, performance the replace in about 30 minutes and that's it. Super efficient and friendly and I'm impressed. For those of you who are curious, they use aftermarket auto glasses (FYG branded, DOT459) which according to online review, the quality should be good (we will see, will update the review later). Morena also provided a shaded (tinted) option with no extra cost, and provided some warranty (for labor and the material). So far, right after the installation, I'm pretty happy and will recommend their service (again will update this review if the quality of the auto glass is not as expected, etc.). read more

I'm yet another victim of a smash and grab car break-in. Bashed in the rear passenger side door window and took my son's backpack. All they got for their trouble was a binder full of math homework (mostly word problems in Chinese no less) and a half eaten lunch. Being a master procrastinator, and having another car at my disposal for a while, I kept putting off getting it fixed, until I was told my friend needed her car back the next day. So I hit Yelp! looking for same day service. (Yelp's "request quote" came in really handy!) I got a number of responses with widely varying prices, so I started at the lowest and asked if they could do same-day. Nope. Worked my way up the price structure until I hit these guys. They could do it same day, and come to me, and they were one of the lower prices. The only problem was by the time they could get to me, they couldn't be sure of finishing before I needed to pick up my son. But they said if I could come to them, they could be sure to get it done in time. They knew their business well enough to ask me if I had the base or Touring Edition Prius, which I had forgotten to specify (longer wheelbase on my Touring version changes the window size apparently). Since it was the less common version, they asked me to give them a half hour to get the glass from a distributor. Timing still worked, so a half hour later off I went. They did the work, done sooner than promised, at a good price. Here are the only reasons I don't give 5 stars: They are not the easiest place to find. Their location is behind a warehouse that is actually on Peralta, not Alemany, and the whole set up is pretty sketchy. No one was there when I arrived, and their facility consists of an office/waiting room shed in a lot behind a multi-unit warehouse. When the guy arrived, he didn't have a key to the waiting room. So I had to stand outside as he drove my car around back to work on it. Then it started to drizzle. About ten minutes later, someone arrived with the keys. Other than that, everything went GREAT. The tech was very apologetic about not having the keys. Nothing he could do, really. They finished sooner than promised. Totally cleaned out all the broken glass in my car. Window matches, fits, and operates perfectly. And they even gave me a Yelp! discount, bringing them in just a few dollars more than the next lowest price place, that would have had me wait a day and a half. I most definitely recommend them, though have them come to you if you have the time. ;-) read more

If I were only rating based on having my windshield replaced I would rate this company higher. However if you have a vehicle with features such as front collision alert, lane departure, etc. that utilizes a camera behind your windshield I would not recommend them. After my windshield was replaced, these features were not working properly. When I called and discussed the issue with Morena she assured me that they would make it right. I scheduled an appointment to bring my car to their shop to have a technician fix it and when I arrived at their address there is no business there. I called at least 7 times and left messages for them to call me back and never heard back. I recommend using another service. read more

My husband's car was broken into in SOMA at approximately 7:30-8:30PM. We believe that whoever did it was watching us as we left. NOTE: we did not leave anything visible in the car nor did we open the trunk to put any belongings. Car robbers are very bold these days. They take the chance by smashing car windows hoping someone would leave their laptops inside. We contacted about 20 places through phone and via yelp to ask how much it would cost to fix a quarter glass window. Because, there was no company that made any aftermarket glass for my car, they said they would have to order it straight from the original manufacturer. That means $$$$$. Most places quoted us $700. Until we called Autoglass express repair! Of all the places, we called Morena, the lady who helped us, was the only person who offered to look for a USED window. She was able to track one down and quoted us only $255!!!!! We were estatic. They ordered the window for us, called us when it arrived. When my husband got there, they fixed our window in about 30 minutes. The person who fixed it told us that they wherehouse they ordered it from actually sent them a new one. SCORE!!!! Remember to have cash on hand tip them HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will recommend these place to others. read more

I rock chipped my windshield and I called and made an appointment to get it repaired. Unfortunately, I didn't describe it well enough over the phone so when Morena looked at it she could tell that it was a little too big for them to repair. She took the time to thoroughly explain the chip and why they couldn't repair it. She then found out that the dealer would be the only place that could replace my windshield. As that could be very pricey, she gave me some other options to try first. She also offered that, as a last resort, she would help me work my insurance company to replace the windshield if I chose to. She definitely has the customer's best interest at heart, and because of that has won a customer for life. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Morena and Jose are terrific, thank you guys! I called about 8 or so auto glass shops and none of them had the rear driver side door window for my old Subaru Impreza Sti, but these guys did! I started calling around on Saturday morning and I was getting answers about how it won't be available for at least 5 days. Only Morena said she could have it by Monday. But I kept calling around because I wanted something the day of, but nothing existed. When Monday came I called Morena again and she did have it, and she immediately called her warehouse to see if I can get it the day of (which I'm really grateful for because I had already hesitated by not placing the order sooner on Saturday, which I should have). A few moments later Morena called back and said she got the glass! Half an hour later I drove by and installation by Jose was very quick (~1hr). He double checked that he got all the glass out of the door, vacuumed all the glass in the car, and THEN even vacuumed the rest of my interior cabin (i.e. the front, where the window wasn't even broken) and got all the leaves/dirt/pebbles out. This review is not for the work they did, it is for the work they told us we didn't need! I called early in the day to inquire if they could help with an apparent failed seal on a 1998 Honda Civic. The recent rains caused a lot of leaking and a flood in the trunk. To the untrained eye it looked as if the seal around the windshield had failed. Jose told us to bring the car by the shop and they'd look it over. Fast forward to 3:30pm...took the car over and checked in. The young lady at the front desk, whose name I did not get, knew we were coming and came out to check the car. She seemed confident that the seal on the windshield was fine but called one of the senior techs to look. He agreed and thought the issue may be that the windshield drain or filter was clogged. They both said that we'd be spending money we didn't need to if we proceeded replace the seal or windshield. Of course the tech offered up he'd do whatever we wanted but it would be a waste of money. YES - they advised us not to move forward with a several hundred dollar fix and sent us on our way with another path to explore. Amazing work and customer service! I discovered my car had been broken into just before 5pm and most places I called either didn't have my window in stock and/or were closed or about to close. Called Express Service Auto Glass to be greeted by a friendly voice. She verified that they had the correct window for my vehicle and that they could get it done today. While I was there, I also figured I'd have them fix a couple of windshield chips that I had been meaning to get repaired. They found another two small chips that I hadn't previously noticed, but they fixed them as well while they were at it with no extra charge. They kept me informed throughout everything and sure enough, I was out in about an hour. I will return here for all of my auto glass needs. These folks rock...In Fall 2017, they were able to order my auto glass the morning after my car was broken into and install it the same day. They also found a generic same quality glass as the mftg's, at a way discounted price. They vacuumed all the interior broken glass on the floor and around the seats and it looked immaculate. I didn't find a single chard of glass! To boot, they did the job at far less than any other glass vendor I had contacted. This was a happy ending to a distressing ordeal. Semeone hit my working van and broke my driver's side mirror. It was terrible because I couldn't drive the van and I had 7 clients to see. I called several places and none of them could fix the problem . After almost giving up, I called express service. Morena and Efrain (technician) provided the best customer service, Thanks. We had our Van's slide door window smashed out (Friday) when I came home. I was looking around for a glass shop and came across Express Service that Friday late evening. As I was browsing their website, and entering my info, Morena sent a online message to me. This was about 11PM, on a Friday night, and I was amazed it was a live person. This made it extremely convenient. I provided her the information, she said they have the glass in stock (especially being a van sliding door rather then a typical car window) she gave me a quote and scheduled a mobile appointment the NEXT day (Saturday). Their technician (Efrain) arrived on time. He was friendly, courteous and efficient. He quickly took apart the door trims, vacuumed out all the broken glass, re-installed a new glass, re-assembled and tested the window assembly all within about ~1-1.5hrs. He certainly knew what he was doing. He cleaned up, inside and swept up all the glass on the street. The entire experience exceeded my expectation, from the online interaction, to the response to the installation. Even better (for me), Express Service is a locally run/company within the city. On the day Express Service Auto Glass was scheduled to replace two windshields at my house, I found some flaws in this company's ordering process. When I called the office to find out what time they were coming by, operations manager Luis had no idea of the order I have been working with owner Morena for over a week. He also says they don't usually serve the area where I live which was surprising since I set everything up with the owner Morena. Luis felt bad and shared "sales" doesn't communicate well (so apparently I was not dealing directly with the owner). Poor Luis tried to recover the situation, even getting permission to send a tech the next day, but my wife needs her car for work and had taken the scheduled day off. I have nothing against Express Service Auto Glass and expect they will fix the communication between sales and Luis. Based on the other glowing reviews, this may be a recent or rare breakdown in communication. read more

I just had the windshield on my 2000 Lexus SC400 replaced today at Express Service Auto Glass. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. You should know that I'm very particular about my car and who works on it. The 5-star reviews on Yelp help me narrow down potential service people but it's only a start. You've seen businesses on Yelp with high ratings and when you call them, you wonder "How did they get 5 stars?!" Having spoken to Morena over the phone reassured me not only that these folks know their business but are willing to listen and accommodate the customer's needs. She's a wealth of knowledge! I originally wanted OEM (Lexus) glass for my car but my insurance company would not go for that. Morena even went out of her way to see if they could source glass from other manufacturers I had recommended but they no longer made glass for my car. In the end, Morena was able to convince and show me that their replacement glass is of very high quality (FYG). They were also willing to speak with my insurance adjuster to work out the payment which was one less thing for me to do. In the end, the installation performed by Jose was first rate. He was even able to re-use the original Lexus trim pieces which were in good shape leaving the car looking original except for the new glass. Thanks Jose and Morena!! What more could you ask for?
