After years of living in SF and Oakland, the inevitable happened and my car was bipped last night. It happened around 8pm. Sent out requests for quotes to glass repair shops in the Oakland/Alameda area at 9pm and got the bids in within a couple hours. For a Tesla 3 quarter window, I was quoted $800 by Tesla, $700 by Safelite, and local shops were quoting $580-$600. The difference was Tesla/Safelite only had appointments for 11 days out and all the local shops were able to see me almost immediately this morning. Almost pulled the trigger on another shop that was close by but Fast Mobile Glass came in though and undercut everyone's quote at $375 flat. They said I could come in immediately. I got in at 9am the next day (today), said it would take 30 minutes and ended up finishing in 15. They vacuumed all the glass, got everything replaced, and I was done faster than I could have ever expected it. The owner and the technicans were nice and gave me tips on trying to prevent another break in from happening again and tips about parking near trees for glass replacement on my car that they've seen happened to other people with their windshields. I've been here a few times. I've been "bipped" on more than one occasion. They are always super fast to fix, and the prices are generally a tad lower than everyone else, not by a lot but a savings is a savings. They have a waiting area outside, but I always walk half a block down the street and eat a bowl of pho while I wait. It's usually done by then. read more

Used these guys again for a SPONTANEOUSLY cracked rear corner panel window! So weird! I went into my garage and found the window cracked all the way through. I called them and got into them within a couple hours and Tony changed my window just as fast as you can say "I'll go get some french fries at the BK 2 blocks down." This is my second 5-star review of Fast Mobile Auto Glass. I am one of many folks who just witnessed my car in a "smash & grab." The front driver-side window was smashed, glass everywhere, and I was 10 seconds too late to prevent it. Fast Mobile answered my call right away. They were sympathetic and available within an hour to bring my car in. The price they quoted, was the price. They never surprise you later with upcharges. The staff, especially Theo (I hope I'm spelling his name right), took the time to listen to me vent about my incident. That meant a lot to me, as I was emotional about the trauma of losing my belongings. The interior of my car is completely SPOTLESS of all glass. After almost 3 months of going back and forth with my insurance company over what is and is not a Honda certified window and whether or not it was going to be in stock. I finally gave up and searched for a place to get my car window fixed and this place came up quick. They had an appointment for me very quickly and they had me in and out in 45 minutes! My drivers side of my window was broken into last night. I had to drive all the way home in the rain. I called today morning, spoke to someone who confirmed they had the part. They took the door apart and took all the glass out. Did a great job of vacuuming the remaining glass that was left on the seat and floor mat.
