My rear quarter glass was broken while I was at a restaurant in Temescal, Oakland. I put out a project request and Big K had the best pricing -- the glass is all the same because this window can only be bought through Audi (booo!!). They have mobile service and will work with your insurance -- yeah, factory glass is $$ so it was above my deductible :*( There were a couple of hiccups getting the glass from the dealer it was ordered through so had to reschedule, but Big K was proactive with their communication, so that helped. It took a couple days longer than I had hoped because of the rescheduling, but it comes with a guarantee, the work was done well, and the tech cleaned up all of the broken glass from inside my car. This business was incredibly efficient and helpful from the minute I reached out, to taking my car to Hans for repair. My car is a 2014 Mazda and now being shared with my 18yo, new driver, son. It seems every time the car comes home, it has a new scrape, and now, a broken side view mirror. I was motivated to get it fixed, since it's a hazard for anyone driving. Big K was the first to respond to my project, the first to ask for vin# to get estimate, and when we spoke, each worker was clear, personable and actually heard what the issues were. I thought I was going to have to replace the housing and mirror, so the first estimate was over $600 with a Mazda part - housing replacement. Since my son was going to have to pay for this, cuz how else do they take ownership, he had a fit. "Let's just glue the mirror in place," he said. My son is over 6' and I am 5', so not being able to adjust the mirror wasn't going to work. They found an OEM glass for my 2021 Mirai and offered a competitive price--much lower than what others were charging. They also did their best to remove all the small glass pieces that had fallen into the passenger side door. When I asked if I could use my personal vacuum to help, they were very accommodating, which I appreciated. I was also able to get some of the smaller pieces out by hand. Cleaning up broken glass is a tough job, but they made a solid effort. If those small pieces aren't removed, you'll hear them rattling whenever you open or close the door--or even while driving.
