"Accidentally" fueled my pump with an extra $10 dollars $30 bucks instead of $20 dollars.

Gas here is good value. Significantly cheaper than any nearby gas station. I have been going here for inexpensive gas for a while, and while the lines are long, someone who makes not much money like myself really appreciates the extra dollar or two you save every time you fill up here. However, over the past week I have had a series of issues, alongside extremely poor customer service. I purchased a car wash alongside my gas a few days ago. It was late at night (~10:30pm). It was $8.50. The receipt in the machine did not print, so I could not get my code to use the wash. So, I parked my car, went up to the kiosk, and there was no one there. Waited, I kid you not, like 3 minutes for the guy to come to the front (there was a buzzer, I made sure to hit it when I needed service.). Finally, he printed the receipt for me. With the code on it! But my troubles were in fact far from over. I pulled up to the wash, started entering my code, and the machine said "OUT OF SERVICE, CONTACT MANAGER" on display. Darn. You'd think the guy printing my receipt would tell me that, but things slip peoples minds constantly, so whatever. So I go back to the kiosk. This time I don't have to wait for the guy. He is actually walking out the back. I stop him, tell him that the wash didn't work, and he said something about it missing a part. Okay. I asked for a refund. He said no. What? It's late. I don't have time for this. He told me the code was good for 2 weeks, and I could come back at any point. Okay. Fine. This place isn't far. I'll live. Fast forward a few days and I stop to get my long awaited car wash. Lo and behold, The wash is cheap and bad. It did not use any soap. There are still water marks and pollen stains all over my vehicle! It was no better than just letting my car sit in the rain. Well, crap. So I assume that there's an issue with their car wash, and that I didn't get duped because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. So, on my way home, I gave them a call. The guy on the other end says there's nothing he can do. No refund, no credit toward another wash, doesn't even want to look at the car and see if something genuinely went wrong. Hangs up on me. How foolish of me! I expected soap, in my car wash. I might still buy gas here. But if I find a place that offers similar prices and has even mediocre customer service, I will start going there in a heartbeat. read more

Very poor customer service from Express Stop Gas Station in Burke: located at 9550 Old Keene Mill Rd I messaged them the below, after a very poor experience with the attendant, and after having messaged them for 3 consecutive days, no one has bothered to respond to my emails. "I was at your station today and purchased a car wash after pumping gas. When I entered the carwash, the system started working, and in a few seconds it stopped. I spoke with the attendant and he told me it was because the car had a bicycle rack in the back. I was very surprised as the rack was collapsed, and I have done it before, get a carwash done with the rack in the back, while collapsed. I asked the attendant if he could reset the car wash so I can use the code later, or allow me to remove the rack, which only takes a few seconds and restart the wash. He told me there is nothing he could do about it and I had lost my carwash. Cheap fuel is the only reason to stop at this station. I stopped at this station @8 PM tonight Paid in cash the pump would not work so I went up to the Kiosk again to inform the attendant well- I had to beat on the window to wake the guy up to inform him of my situation. He then ask me how much did I prepay I told him my wife gave you $30.00. Now he still would not reset the pumps. I then said let me call the police he look at me then came out of his work area using some profane language grabbed the the hose showing me how to use the pump. I now believe he was going to challenge me on weather I gave him cash thinking I would give up and leave. I have been using this station for almost 20 years very seldom will I use a credit card due to the fact of being scammed twice in the past by Skimmers on there card processing units. I've been buying gas at Express Stop for more than 20 years. And on occasion I've used their car wash. Tonight after filling up the tank of my Ford 150 pickup I decided to get a middle grade car wash. I lowered my tail gate so not to pool water in the back of my truck. I had pulled up as far as I could for the wash. The spray wand stopped at the back of my truck. I did not hear or feel the spray wand hit my pickup, but the car wash stopped. When I asked the attendant for a new code, and then a refund ($9.95), he called his management and they refused. It is hard to imagine that after being a loyal customer for more than 20 years that they wouldn't give me a refund or at least a new code. My daughter went there the morning of 17 Feb 26 to fill up. While getting gas she threw out a shopping bag of trash and the clerk reprimanded her and said he'd charge her $500 for dumping. I don't know if he targeted her because she's a woman, young, a different race, or he just sucks at his job. Whatever the reason he's a coward who wouldn't have said that to a grown man. I used the car wash and after all the soap was on my car, the machine hit my side view mirror even though I was within the lines and stopped. I pulled out and went to the attendant for help. He came and restarted the machine and I reentered my code, only to get a message that the code had already been used. The attendant had disappeared right away. I went back to the window and he didnt speak at all, he just pointed to a tiny slip of paper taped to the bottom of the window with a message that said "No Refunds, No exchanges" with a generic email address. I recently stopped by Express Stop Gas Station to refuel my car, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. I encountered a rude attendant whose demeanor was unwelcoming, and their customer service skills were severely lacking.. It's been a few years since I've pumped gas here because (1) I moved and have cheaper gas out where I am & (2) their gas is watered down/lower quality compared to your name brand gas stations around the area (shell, Sunoco, etc). Therefore, today I made a mistake of entering in the opposite direction of where you are supposed to enter. I realized after being told I could not pump gas coming in that direction that yes there were some changes to the gas station traffic flow. This is not the problem. My problem is my interaction w/ the gas station owner. As a woman, I felt degraded by the way the attendant spoke to me. He even threatened to call the cops on me when I know for a fact I did nothing wrong. I simply, (1) moved my car when asked & (2) asked for his name bc of how disrespectful/rude he was to me. He appeared annoyed when I stated I did not know the traffic flow had changed. His behavior made me uncomfortable and left me feeling disrespected as a customer. It's better than it used to be. Thank you to the owners, who made this all one way in. Before I wouldn't dare to stop in here. This is a no frills gas station. They accept cash and most credit cards. You'll mostly save money here, at least compared with nearby stations that charge up to 50 cents more per gallon. That can add up. The employees seem decent enough. As for the pump area it's quite clean. You'll probably get in a line on the way out, as just two busy intersections meeting up here. Best time to go is weekday mornings after rush hour. This was a waste of money. I drove into the wash and nothing happened. I stopped when instructed and then nothing. I called the attendant from my car and was told, I must have missed the spot to stop. I let him know I stopped on the spot I was told and nothing. He said that it might not be working. He also hung up on me. I called back and told him he was rude and should put an out of order sign on it. Never again will I waste my money here. All the negative reviews make a lot of sense. I had been going here for years whenever it was on my way because it's cheaper than other places. A retired mechanic told me to stop going here because the gas is mixed with water to the legal limit which is why it's cheaper and he said your tank uses it up faster and it's also bad for your car. I asked him if Costco is like that and he said no that's the good stuff. Now I do try to avoid it but sometimes it is the most convenient gas station when I'm heading towards the parkway. I stopped here the other day and pulled into a pump on my right side and my fuel door was on the left. I regularly do this and it's not a problem. On this day however the clip that holds the piece so the nozzle pumps automatically was loose and it wouldn't allow the pump to work automatically and I had to hold it. This made it difficult to see how much gas I was getting, plus I didn't know how much gas I needed to fill the tank. I put enough in and reached over half a tank and put the nozzle back and figured I'd fill the rest somewhere else. I did stop by the counter to let the attendant know the clip was loose. He came out to see what I meant. When he looked at it he said oh that's because many people set the pump and then sit in their cars or talk on the phone and leave the pump unattended. Mind you, I've been coming here for a long time and I haven't noticed this problem at any other pump. I explained to him that it didn't make sense because people don't always know how much gas they need and they need for the pump to turn off automatically. He sort of just dismissed what I said and repeated what he said before. I have to admit I got very annoyed by him at this point. I wasn't trying to start a debate and I didn't need any sort of explanation. The gas pump was broken and that was it and all that he needed to say was don't worry we'll get it fixed. It was not a moment for making excuses. So if I am to believe what he said, they broke all of the clips for all of the pumps so now you need to hold the pumps by hand and hopefully you came with a completely empty tank because if you're halfway, good luck guessing when you're full. I almost want to go back and try a different pump just to see if they're all like that but I think I'm just over this place. read more

I mean gas is the cheapest here in the West Springfield area, there is a known line system that works well for them and every customer that comes, and I'm always in and out minus some wait if it's crowded. One thing to note some of the pumps have overfilled from what I heard so definitely keep an eye on the pump when you get gas read more

The one-way lines have significantly improved the flow and reduced the chaos. Best bet is to go to the pumps left of the booth, and don't worry which side you fill up from - the hose will reach across to the opposite side. Have the prices gotten even cheaper? Stopped in here to refuel late on a Saturday afternoon. The line for each pump was 3-8 cars deep. If I was not so close to empty - I would have been tempted to try my luck elsewhere. Paid the pump with a cc. Trying to get out of the station after refueling was a royal pain in the ass! People blocking access to the exit. Not sure what is your system on this gas station, I'm understand you are trying to direct traffic however is not on the safest way. As right now you are directing traffic one way from a busy intersection Old Keene Mill where cars are blocking traffic. A lots of cars are not following the one way traffic lanes. On top of that, in an emergency is no way to get out of this gas station. How Fairfax County is allowing this? They even have a permit to built a fence? The gas is the cheapest around. If you want cheap gas, this is the place. If you decide to visit here, be prepared to have an anxiety ridden outing. These guys can never seem to get their act together: for years it has been a game of chicken with other drivers trying to get gas. I can't tell you how many times someone blocked me in because they wanted be first in line in the other direction. I have had people flip me off, yell at other people all around me. The staff here are crooks. One of the pumps wasn't working so I went to the cashier who looked lhalf asleep. He took my card and tried to charge it (most likely he didn't even try) and said debit card doesn't work (even though I used debit here before). And when I went to get it washed for some reason, it did not wash my car and I stayed inside the wash for few minutes then I had to go to the cashier and told him what happened. Recently, Express Stop has placed a wire fence as a barrier/wall it appear to attempt to get patrons to stay in their designed lane. I used to think it was the cheapest gas. It's not. The upside to the madness is they average 40 cents a gallon less than all other stations anywhere close. For my 30 gallon tank, the savings add up. This is my gas station of choice because their gas prices are always a few cents less than other nearby gas stations. The drawback is that they are very busy and cars enter from all directions. There is often a wait to get to an open pump. I have been frustrated on several occasions because the window cleaning equipment is broken or worn out. Pumps often don't register the credit card or the zip code to which the cashier rudely points at the small hand written note and asks us to keep trying our card there rather than finally trying to run it on his register. One time upon my card constantly not working, I went to the Cashier at the window and complained and he pointed at the note again and stated "your zip is wrong and its not my fault if you don't know your zip". After finally managing to come out to see what's going on, due to me going to him multiple times for the card not working then he states "Customers think they are always right but they are wrong and you don't have money on your card and that's why its not working".
