I even gave them good reviews in the past, but an incident early 2026 prompted me to forever stop going to this place. As I see here, there are many complaints about George, the person who takes the credit cards or is it, so to say, the "gatekeeper." His attitude has become increasingly condescending and rude, outright hostile. when I went there earlier this year to have my car washed, he informed me that my monthly subscription had run out because my card had expired. By accident, I had forgotten my wallet at home that day, so I couldn't give him a different card. When I told him that, he literally pitched a fit and started shouting and yelling and insulting me, so I asked him what else he wanted me to do? He did put me through. Later on same day, I called the owner, Raj, to talk to him about that, but he never returned my call. I texted him. And again he ignored that too.. At that point I decided I had finally had enough of putting up with the squalid customer service. This place has gotten increasingly worse since Raj automated everything. There is no cashier or attendant in the office. The place looks deserted it and I'm sorry to say I'm very disappointed in the way this company has turned out to be. I also concur with the comments regarding the damage to their vehicles. Four of my cars were damaged or dinged while going through the car wash at this place but every time I brought it to their attention, the owner Raj, whom I considered a friend, was taking it personal as if I was insulting him by pointing out that my car had been damaged because of his faulty equipment. Furthermore, every few months Raj creates a new package to charge more money and skimp out on the services. The rims are no longer cleaned. The seats are not cleaned as Raj claims they never clean seats! The interior door handles are not cleaned, the screen of the information center is not cleaned, and I was paying $69 a month for the Supreme package. I took my business to White Horse car wash on Richmond Highway and they do all of that for $54 a month for unlimited car washes.

I got both the exterior and interior cleaned, and I'm very happy with how everything turned out! Shawn did an amazing job on my interior and really took his time to make sure everything looked clean and refreshed. Shoutout to Shawn and all the other workers as well, everyone did a great job and was very friendly. Definitely appreciate the service and will continue coming back!

The last 4 times or so that I have been here over a year and a half I asked for a manual tire shine, but all 4 times they failed to deliver on their end. It is a service that they offer as part of the ultimate wash if requested. It's not like I went when it was peak busy hours. I usually go on weekdays around 11 am when it is not busy. No one seems to go above and beyond. I find the value in going and getting a car wash here has decreased and may find business elsewhere if lackluster service continues.

Meaning: In an obvious attempt to reduce costs some places clearly reduce the water pressure and (water down) detergent flow which reduces the overall efficiency of the wash. It's soooo obvious when it's happening too because what you get is a barely sprinkling water hose from someone's house and no suds. Certainly not the intensity to clean rims, for example....or knock down off-road dirt/mud. The change machines are always functional and dispense quarters (vs tokens like others). They've got the hand vac of course along with the fragrance gun as I recall. No credit card capability here like some others. Good wash. Better than Billy's in Fort Washington or Speedy Clean in Waldorf. $2 is the minimum for a small car but realistically you're looking at about $3.50-$4 unless you plan on moving at double-time speed. 4 stars. They ruined the inside panel of my car during a wash and then tried to claim it was already damaged when I dropped it off. That was not the case. If it had been damaged beforehand, shouldn't they have pointed it out or made a note of it before taking the car? They initially acted like they were going to make it right by giving me their insurance company's information. I called the insurance and filed a claim, only to find out the owner told the insurance company that the car was damaged when I arrived. The insurance then asked me to provide pictures of the car before the damage. Why would I have pictures of something that wasn't damaged? It was clear at that point that We Care Autowash had no intention of taking responsibility from the start. Their behavior was dishonest and completely unprofessional. It's one thing for accidents to happen. It's another to lie to your customer and to your insurance company to avoid accountability. We Care Autowash has shown me that they do not care about their customers, their integrity, or doing the right thing. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to deal with damage and zero accountability afterward.

Although the price has change drastically (upward)....the consistency and quality of service remains on point. Yates is one of those car washes that you actually get a good wash and outcome of a clean car for it to be a machine wash. The service is quick, fast and very convenient. The secret here is not just in the machine wash, but the secret sauce is in how hard the workers that dry and detail your car afterwards perform. The folks here work really hard to clean your car inside and out. If not necessarily a full detail, but it's close to as if you paid for a full detailed service in my opinion. There were times I was even ashamed to open the door for them to clean my car! Lol. But, in all, you definitely get what you pay for here and that i is a quality wash that meets all expectations for the price. Besides the machine wash service, they do offer a hand wash service and full detail service that can be scheduled. The price varies based on the car type and size. I've never used the extended services, but from what I can see, they perform a great job, especially with detailing your car. My go to is the standard ultimate Wash. This service is a full complete inside and outside cleaning job for your car as well as inside mats and tire/wheel cleaning. One day I will try the hand wash and detail service, but for now I'm completely satisfied every time I stop by here. I highly recommend you give these folks to visit. You will not be disappointed..... at least I haven't and it has been over 20+ years!

I took my 2018 Dodge Durango to Yates Car Wash Detail Center on April 13th to have it cleaned…read morebefore trading it in toward the purchase of a new vehicle. Unfortunately, what should have been a routine $42 car wash turned into a very disappointing and costly experience. After the wash was completed, a supervisor, Marvin Cornejo, brought me over to my vehicle and informed me that they could not get the driver-side window to roll back up. There were also clear signs that the driver-side power window switch had been pried on in an apparent attempt to get the window working again. Prior to bringing my vehicle to Yates, I had never experienced any issues with the windows or electrical system. To their credit, the staff apologized at the time, took photographs of the damage, and completed an incident report. I was told that the owner would be contacting me to discuss the damage and how the situation would be handled. It has now been a week, and I have received no follow-up whatsoever. Because I was trading the Durango in that same day, the damage directly affected the condition of the vehicle and resulted in a $500 reduction in my trade-in value. So, in the end, a $42 wash plus the $5 tip I gave the staff cost me an additional $500. The wash itself was fine, and I understand that accidents can happen. What I find unacceptable is the lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. If your business damages a customer's vehicle, documents the incident, and tells the customer that the owner will contact them, following through should be the bare minimum. Receiving no communication at all only adds insult to injury. I purchased my new vehicle later that same day, and based on this experience, I will not be bringing it to Yates Car Wash Detail Center. Unfortunately, I also cannot recommend Yates to others. Accidents happen. How a business responds when they happen says far more about the business than the accident itself. In this case, the lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing.
