The store is located in an office park, and I must admit that I find the location superb for a yarn-o-holic like myself. It is quiet with ample parking making it perfect for an open knitting session with your friends :-) Though I also find that little yarn nooks in commercial districts are super cute too. They just have this cool nerdy chic way of standing out. Apart from Madeline Tosh, Yarn Culture carries indie yarns not available to other Local Yarn Stores as covered on the previous review. They have my preferred needles- the super speedy stainless steel ChiaoGoo circulars, in just about every imaginable size and cable length. They carry lots of quality yarn, host trunk shows for artisans, and have local made products for sale- such as the bright pink skull stitch marker I picked up when I was last there. The shop itself is beautiful- bright with natural light, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The work they have on display makes me want to become a better knitter. I hope to take one of their numerous classes in the future. Knitty Gritty is very responsive on social media and their website is as great as their physical space is. There is a private parking lot which is sizable.

The store is clean, the hours are good - retail hours. The only item I am still thinking about which motivated me to write this review was the fact that they only offer self checkout now. I am comfortable with that. My concern is that the counter space was VERY limited to check out the items i had in my hand, and I cannot image those who are not tech savvy being forced to solely use self checkout. The woman I was speaking with who works at Michael's stated that she was there to help if something didn't scan, but she was only there to observe and not cash people out. I find that not be really customer service. I would feel bad if someone like my father in law at 94 was trying to use that and told they couldn't assist. I will continue to use Michael's as a go to. There selection is top notch. Hoping they figure out a little more about the self service check out.

The store has a good selection, though organization of the titles was a little haphazard. Still, this is a solid store that we will be sure to add to our regular rotation of retro game stores we frequent. You should this place out for hidden gems!
