The store may be small but it is jam packed with items, many of them Star Wars from across the ages. Additionally they have Funko Pops, and other random figures that included Transformers, Stargate, Seaquest and more. A few of these figures I didn't know existed but had loved the movies and series and many of the Star Wars pieces I don't recall seeing when I was young. I was greatly surprised by the prices, most of everything was decently priced for their condition and had i not been in my senses I could easily go astray here. When I called I fully expected to be told that they were busy and to bring it in a week or so like I heard when I called some bike shops in Amherst. I was surprised to hear the words "bring it right in and we'll look at it in a few days." I took the short ride to Batavia to drop the bike off and when I entered the shop they seemed to know I was coming and what the problem was. When I rolled the bike in I was stunned when I was asked if I had time to hang out in Batavia as they might be able to look at it and make the repair immediately and save me a trip back to pick it up. Of course I agreed to stay in the neighborhood and when I returned to the store 45 minutes later the bike was repaired beyond my satisfaction and the price of the repair was extremely reasonable. It's official I have found my new bike repair shop thanks to the great service I received today.

I was bored, so we took a trip to one of the neatest little bicycle toy stores I think I've ever been to with new and used bicycles with time honored toys, that he knew. Fairly easy, free parking in a popular car lot across the street. Model cars and chess sets. Wagons, slot cars and Lionel train sets. Black Bart, red ryder BB guns, play-dough fun factories and all kinds of board games. It's fun just browsing around. (quite the authority on comic books too) On the bicycle end of things, they have the bits and parts that most any cyclist could need. Bicycles of all shapes and sizes. Tires hanging from the ceiling, in a classic bike shop atmosphere. Repaired and adjusted bikes crowed around the side door. The adjustment only took a few minutes as my friend and Mike commiserated while fine tuning the wheels. (he really knew what he was doing) February being a slow month in the shop, still had its share of adjusted and repaired ready to go. A good time to get in for a tune-up. Fast personalized service.

We walked in and the pig races were just starting. It was a lot of fun and the emcee made it entertaining. Unfortunately it was the highlight of our time here. They have a few food trucks, and the only goodie stand open was the fried dough. Kettle Korn and Sugar Cone were closed. The rides were there but not set up, so not sure when they were going to be open. We walked around the barns to see the animals, they were still checking some of the animals in. It did start raining so we grabbed some food and went to the community tent to eat. We did buy some maple coffee (so good) and 2 bottles of wine. This is one of the smaller fairs we have been too. And some things weren't opened it could be that they put this together quickly because of COVID, and because it was the first day - they have the whole week to celebrate that they are open this year. If you have a little time to drive out to batavia and spend $10 to walk around, I would give this place a try. Oh and they had a kangaroo.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill the moment I walked in. One employee immediately gave me a harsh look and stared at me from across the room. I didn't even realize he worked there at first, so I tried to move out of his line of sight. Another employee eventually approached me, and I explained that it was my first visit and I wanted to look around before asking questions. He was friendly and helpful -- I honestly wish he had been the one assisting me the whole time. Instead, the first employee eventually came over and asked if I needed anything, but his tone and body language made me feel unwelcome, as if he wanted me to leave rather than browse. It took the excitement out of what should have been a fun first visit. Bottom line: the store itself was great, but the attitude from that particular employee made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.
