I checked in on a day that was 104°. The air-conditioner in my room was struggling. I had a refrigerator full of food. The refrigerator worked the first day I even used ice from the trays. The next day the ice was floating in the trays and The food in the refrigerator department was cool to room temperature. I am formed the clerk and the manager downstairs. The manager offered to come up and check but they just gave me access to the refrigerator in the next room because the maintenance was not there. He told me not to try to eat the perishable foods and I agreed. I was asked to make a list of the foods I had to throw away. I made a list and took pictures of all of the food I was throwing away. I brought the list down and all of the food in the bag. I emailed the manager a picture of the food I was throwing away. The next day I noticed how much cooler the room was that was holding our food and agreed to move to the next room. I moved from room 228 to room 230. No I know that the air conditioner was not working and the original room. The carpet in the room 230 was sticking to my feet so I knew the carpet was filthy. I kept my slippers on. I never got a reply from the manager after getting my list disposed perishables. Around $40 worth of food after discounting the items that have been opened. At checkout I was told the manager was gone until Monday and I can try emailing him again. Stay tuned. read more

This is the worst ran business I have ever seen I rented a room for my friend who is an older gentleman with health issues and they gave him a room with no air conditioner when the heat was 105 outside for 2 days he had to suffer without an air conditioner because they couldn't get somebody to come and check and they would not change his room. They refused to give me a credit back they refused to come pay me day they were rude they basically said that we were lying they tried to make up excuses and say that that the manager overheard the conversation the manager wasn't there at that time the girl who said yeah I will have maintenance go didn't put in the log book that she had requested maintenance because she never did so my friend had to stay in the room that was measuring up to 115 degrees hot for 2 days this place is horrible and they do not want to take that they did anything wrong they're blaming it all on us stay away from this property read more

I never expected to find a place that reminds me of Bates Motel in San Dimas. No one at the front desk various times in the evening, I'm talking like 8pm. The door has a broken peep hole so can't even see outside when all the various noises occur or someone knocks. Free wifi is nice but they charge a fee of $3.99 an hour for better service. Some random bag on a light? In the middle of the room. Kids or people run up and down the hallway continuously. The person across from me is constantly walking around shirtless with his pants around his knees, not sure why that's tolerated. Oh and the best part, no smoking signs left and right but the second you get in the door - BAM - it's like you're at a Bob Marley concert. Don't stay here. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life I traveled with my children and grandchildren for a family reunion. we had 2 rooms and both were terrible This hotel is disgusting the bedding was dirty the towels were dirty and as you can see from the attached picture the tub was dirty. I had to go to a nearby Walmart to buy towels and blankets because I didn't want to use those provided. once I saw how dirty it was I tried to cancel the 2nd day but was told I couldn't due to cancellation policies. Oh,boy, where do I begin. The first thing our reservation was for 5 people. We expected to get two full beds and a sofa bed. What we actually got was two full beds. We spoke to the host, who was a sweet young man. He actually was the only good thing about this place. I booked in San Dimas simply because I knew the area was economically in a better neighborhood. I expected a nice,clean, and family oriented experience. What we received filthy carpet, a backed up kitchen sink. The room reeked of tobacco and Marijuana. It was supposed to be non-smoking. Oh, the extra bed we were offered a fold away. It's not a bad thing, right, however, the condition of the mattress. It appeared to have more miles on it than a 1972 pinto. Also, it looks like Ms. Trixie and every John from San Dimas to Los Angeles had used it. Filthy,besides all the DNA left behind. I believe we would have done much better in the worst part of the LA area. If you're reading this, save yourself the experience. Go somewhere else. Heck, a motel 6 would have been a much better option. If I had not been driving 12 hours straight and not exhausted, I would have gone somewhere else. Oh, the breakfast coffee and a granola bar. This place has changed a lot since we've stayed here the last few times definitely woukd nit stay here ever again. The staff are rude, not organized they don't know which rooms are ready or not. Rooms are not clean I thought management had to inspect them but not sure if that is happening because it's definitely not clean. Lots of people live there and some have animals. People outsdir of the hotel room windows talking to the guests through the windows. There are also no staff at the front desk no one supervising who comes in nland out. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I wanted to save a little money by trying this place out. We normally stay at the best western right next to this place. At check in the place is totally shady. It appears to have a large tweeker population there. I had three small kids with me so it was scary. I asked for a room that does not allow pets. The lady tells me we have febreeze if you need it. And stated there are no rooms here that don't allow pets in them. The entire hall on the second floor smelled of marijuana. I don't normally care but I had 3 kids with me one with asthma. Upon me going into the room my feet instantly stuck to the floors. There was a sticky white substance on the floors. The chairs in the rooms had white stuff all over them. The beds had pet fur and makeup on "clean sheets". I arrived to this hotel after a 6 hour drive and hotels.com could not help me find another hotel due to the late hour of our arrival. We did not stay here. I was refunded my money. Do not stay here. We checked into the best western and did not even care that it was substantially more expensive. read more

Besides my father falling and breaking his femur (due to his prosthetic leg and the hotels landscaping rocks not being cleaned up), it took them being notified back on FEBRUARY 5TH and they just decided to do a report JUNE 8TH! 4 months later. And the only reason that happened, was because I list my cool due to my screen being popped open on my downstairs room. (We have to be downstairs due to my dad being in a wheelchair) and their elevators are constantly going out of service or having junkies relieve themselves. I have mentioned to the front office the STRONG urine odor, and Erin just claims that she "knows". This morning I got tired of the smell, I have many medical issues and almost threw up the little I'm able to eat, and walked in stating that the smell is bullsh*t and if they wont do something, I will. So I grabbed my OWN cleaning supplies and poured it out there. Low an behold, it helped the smell! So I took my things back inside and told them they better put up a floor sign if they don't want someone to slip and sue. As I walked about outside, Erin then followed me very hostile, creating another guest to step in front of her with how she was approaching me stating I did not need to make that issue that loud as other guests complain about the issue?! Overall, really not a bad place to say for the low price you pay, especially when considering that you are paying to have a kitchenette, in-room! Room was satisfactory: no frills. The kitchen was clean but basic, with an electric cooktop, full fridge and microwave. They said that you could request kitchen utensils if needed. The bathroom wasn't 100% immaculate when I arrived but nothing that would totally disgust me or I felt necessary to complain about (a few stains on bottom of the toilet, a stray hair, slow sink drain, very light water pressure). Very decent bed and pillows (although bedding was older with a few seams unraveling) Overall, I couldn't complaint for the price- Very good budget hotel! If I were to ever need a place to stay for an extended length of time (especially with a kitchen to cook!), I would definitely consider this place again. read more

I booked a reservation for an entire month but I am leaving early because of several reasons. 1st when I got here my room was so dirty they had to give me another room. 2nd this location is severly understaffed I cannot get anyone to clean my room. 3rd my kitchen drain has been stopped up since I checked in. Water will eventually drain out after a while but its yucky. 4th when I leave my room my key never works when I come back so its a constent back and forth to reception and if you take the stairs it reeks of urine. Last as if it could get any worse, 2 out of the 4 employees here do not get along witch makes it very awkward as a resident especially when you need something. I had to wait as there was an argument etween the 2 of them because one of them didn't want to answer a call at the front desk. Definitely stay at this hotel if you make a reservation through Priceline.com and immediately call the hotel to request a NON SMOKING room and are assured by the person that answered the phone that it will be, but when you check in and go to the room you find it's not as evidenced by the lack of a non smoking symbol on or around the door or anywhere in the room, it reeks of cigarette smoke and the bathroom has visible cigarette stains around the sink where people have rested their cigs. Definitely stay at this hotel if you only have one item of clothing that might require a hangar. Definitely stay at this hotel if you don't ever think that you would need to take a drink of water, because there isn't a single glass of any kind in the room. Definitely stay at this hotel if you don't have any standards whatsoever of what the bed and bedspread should look like when you come in for the first time. Definitely stay at this hotel if you don't mind very visible stains in different places on the carpet in the room. And this is a place that is named "extended stay". If I didn't check in after 1:30am and desperately needed sleep, I would have went somewhere else. If I can post photos that I have taken of the room, I will. Needless to say, we will never stay in this hotel again or ever recommend that anybody else does, either. Since this hotel has a 3+ star rating, this must definitely be the exception to the rule. DO NOT STAY HERE! I should have known from pulling into the parking lot this was a bad area. There was people drinking/smoking in the parking lot playing loud music, something you would see at a tailgate party. Against my better judgment I proceeded through to the lobby to check in. I was greeted by a sweet employee who even offered me "the better shower." Entering the elevator you are smacked in the face with the smell of moldy cigarettes. As I got on my floor the smell got worse, I proceeded to walk down this long dark hallway. With every step I took there was multiple dogs barking to make my presence known. While still walking down this long dark hallway I noticed there were multiple doors that were broken, like if someone broke them to get into the room. I finally made it into my room and the horror continued. The room had ants crawling everywhere, the box spring was shredded, there were stains all over the bed, the chairs had tears in them, the floors were sticky. My windows were open with the blinds up, as I went to pull the curtains shut, the men that were in the parking lot began to shout at me. I grabbed my things and went downstairs to check out. The same employee was there and she saw that I was waiting and asked me if I needed something, I notified her that I will be checking out immediately to which she responded," oh it was bad huh?" Also said "I haven't had a chance to go and clean it properly." I am in complete shock that this place is even allowed to operate under these conditions. read more

Had a kitchen that wasn't stocked at all, we had to know what dishes we needed otherwise we would have to come back down and bug front desk again. This hotel is pet friendly and I used Expedia to book. It's nasty. Could be worse- slight upgrade from motel 6. But for the price- this is junk. I should've went to Yelp first bc the Expedia reviews were better. Got to hotel and desk clerk said they were all out of rooms bc ours wasn't cleaned. She ran to check and said room was clean for sure- just needs a blanket. Pillow smelled of urine. We didn't get the room we booked- but was okay. Lots of sketchy traffic too. Worst hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. First, I was booked for a king bed for 3 nights but when we checked in we were told they had "over booked" and there were no more king rooms left. We were given a queen. When I asked about the difference in price, I was told that since I had booked thru American Express Travel that they would have to change the charges, the hotel could do nothing. That was just the start of the problems: Peeling paint, black stains on the carpets, extremely loud bathroom fan (which has to be on when the light is on), no hangers or blow dryer provided, tub faucet wouldn't shut off and then the next day wouldn't turn on at all. When my husband called the front desk to tell them the tub water wasn't working, the lady refused to do anything but "leave a note" for the next shift. Finally the next shift moved us to a new room (but still only a queen size.) This room also have stains, peeling pain etc. When we moved to the 2nd room, our paid week for upgraded internet speed wouldn't work and after 3 trips to tye front desk, it was never resolved. When we got home I called Amex and called the hotel twice for us and the hotel refused to give a discount, refund or even return the difference between a king and queen room booking for nights. I will never stay with Extended Stay American again. read more

Well, I had to stay here for 3 days because I was having some renovations done on my condo. This place sucks. The beds are very uncomfortable, the stove (Well if you want to call it that) looks like something out of 1930. Doesn't heat up very well at all. The shower OMG the worst absolutely no water pressure it was like showering in the rain. The tv channels they have are just plain awful. Thank God for Hulu on my smartphone. Now, the grab and go breakfast is ok coffee is fresh and hot, there also some muffins and granola bars. It would be great if they'd offer some fruit or juice for people who can't have much carbs or would like a cold glass of oj. Well needless to say I won't be coming back here. Worst place we have had to stay in for awhile. To start there is not enough parking. No pull in check in area so you have to first find parking then walk all the way around to the front door. The room smells horrible, the bathroom sink didn't drain, the shower didn't drain, there is no toilet paper holder. There was obvious water damage on the ceiling with plaster coming down and the floor was too sticky to walk on barefoot. Keys don't work half the time, The kitchenette has appliances from 1970. The walls are so thin you can hear every room commotion above, to the side, across the hall and under like you are in the same room. When I mean you can hear everything I mean everything. It felt like we were in the red light district of Amsterdam. The ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is because every staff member we came across was very nice and professional. Corporate office needs to do something about this place - there are much nicer hotels across the street and not $180. read more

They really need to do a serious maintenance update on this hotel. The lobby and rooms need deep-cleaning. The hotel curtains appear to have cigarette burns or moth holes on them. I've been staying here for about three weeks due to a relocation back East. I've had to exchange my TV remote about 5 times. The refrigerator is missing a control knob and is not cooling anything put in it. The reception on the TV constantly loses signal. This week, they actually ran out of guest bath towels for about 24 hours. The WI-FI is spotty and not secure. The trash room is continually full, which has guests leaving their trash bags out in the hallway. I don't think I'll be staying here again any time soon. This stay was really poor compared to my stay here two years ago. read more

The worst extended stay America we have ever visited and was not worth the near $200 a night here. The beds were god awful uncomfortable with the thinnest most uncomfortable pillows. The room was not what was advertised poorly kept location and their idea of a continental breakfast here is a granola bar or a mini packaged muffin or make yourself oatmeal in a cup PATHETIC . The location is nice. The staff was friendly. I was initially impressed with the kitchen set up. I stayed here for approximately three weeks while I waiting for my apartment to be ready. I hate writing bad reviews, and I usually don't write reviews at all if I'm unhappy. Or I write reviews if I'm beyond unhappy. Im beyond unhappy. I'm unhappy because this place smells. I have an incredible sensitive nose. So, many people break rules and smoke in their rooms. I felt like I couldn't breathe. My nose was stuffy. Plus, it's worse if you go into the lobby. The people who smoke inside trail the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. While I was loading my car to leave today, I could smell bile. Someone threw up after a night of heavy drinking. I don't know if it was coming from a room or if someone threw-up I'm the hallway. If it'd been in the hallways, someone had cleaned it up already, but there was a lingering smell. Honestly, I don't think I could handle another Extended Stay after this. The positives were the nice staff and location. San Dimas seems like a wonderful city. We booked a non-smoking queen room & was given a room that smelled like smoke the moment you walk in. I called the front desk using the room phone, which was very dirty & looked like it had not been cleaned in awhile. They switched rooms & the next room did not smell like smoke & that phone was little bit cleaner. There was only 1 shower curtain that didn't look like it should get wet (no waterproof shower liner), but we had no time to call & wait for another one. This probably explains why our bathroom ceiling had water damage (from the shower above). While getting ready, my necklace fell down the bathroom sink. The front desk said they had no maintenance at the hotel because they hired a new guy that is training. That's fine, but what happens when problems occur? The front desk gentleman (Daniel) called the manager multiple times but she was not calling him back. I asked if they had a wrench onsite so we could open it ourselves, but he said he does not have access to any tools. We finally had to leave for our pre-determined plans. Upon leaving, Daniel asked if it was okay if he went into our room to try and retrieve my necklace & I said yes. Later that night, Daniel called & said he found it. I was very happy! After returning that night there was no parking. The lady at the front desk said she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. The Lowe's parking lot next door said no overnight parking; we parked elsewhere & walked back. Lastly, the bed was uncomfortable and not a real queen size bed (smaller). We needed a place to stay while our house was being tented. We stayed here 2 nights. It was less than glamorous. We cleaned everything with Lysol wipes then Sprayed it all with Lysol spray. We brought our own pillows and blanket. It definitely was not "clean". Employees were very kind, and it was quiet. But not a place I would chose to stay. It was very expensive too.
