I ordered tires online and had them delivered to this location, along with an oil change. Unfortunately, they didn't place an oil-change reminder sticker on my car, claiming they had run out. Then, I scheduled a vehicle inspection for 9:00 a.m 10/7 and rearranged my work schedule (I'm a nurse, so this was not easy). At the last minute, I was told the inspector called out and I'd need to come back the following day. I was promised a small discount and rescheduled again. When I showed up this morning, they had no record of my appointment and no emissions stickers available. The staff was unprofessional and unsympathetic. Overall, this location's communication and customer service were very disappointing. If you plan to use this Pep Boys, I'd strongly recommend double-checking your appointment and having a backup plan. Currently I am driving around with outdated inspection stickers but plan on finding another place today.

The tall gentleman (with his hair in a ponytail) said "How can I assist you?" I told him I was there to get a new battery and asked if he could install it as well. He asked me what type of car it was (Year, Make and Model) and then asked me if I had the start/stop feature on it. I told him "Yes". He then stated that I could buy the battery but he wouldn't be able to install it because he didn't have the tools to collaborate it so that the car system knew it was a new battery being installed. He referred me to Mavis in Chester Springs to purchase the battery, have it installed and collaborated. I have never felt so disregarded in my life as if I wasn't being treated like a human being. I worked as a Finance Manager at Keystone Motors (Volvo) in Berwyn for years and this is not how you treat customers. They need some SERIOUS customer service training ASAP!!! I will be reaching out to the corporate office to share my experience as it's uncalled for and very unprofessional. I was able to go right across the street (literally) to Auto Zone and get both the battery I needed as well as have it installed in less than 15 minutes by Josiah who was AMAZING. Please get your staff some customer service training immediately Advanced Auto Parts because lose customers now and going forward.

    This was probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. I placed an order on Friday for bushings…read moreand paid for overnight shipping because my car was at my independent mechanic and needed to be moved quickly since the wrong part was sent by another company. Since the company is closed on weekends, I followed up by email and phone on Monday. Ironically, the item shipped just 2 hours after I sent that email. Their phone lines were also down for hours, and I couldn't reach anyone until around 1 PM (I'm in Pacific Time). When I finally spoke to someone on Monday, I was told to wait until the item arrived and that I would most likely receive a full refund. However, when I called again on Tuesday after receiving the item, I was told the supervisor was unavailable and to call back Wednesday. On Wednesday, I explained the entire situation to the supervisor, who responded by saying they shipped the order "as fast as they could," citing that only one person handles order reviews. Despite my repeated attempts to contact them earlier, this explanation didn't justify the delay. Overnight serviced should've been Saturday or Sunday latest. The supervisor was dismissive, lacked basic customer service skills, and ultimately hung up on me, completely unprofessional. At this point, I plan to dispute the charge with my bank. Paying for overnight shipping and not receiving that level of service is unacceptable, and the way this was handled only made things worse. I should have listened to others who warned me about this company.
