Cristophe the service manager is a terrible person and should not be in charge of anything let alone dealing with customers. He's got a big ego and does not communicate with customers . I've taken my vehicle 4 times for a problem under warranty. They couldnt find it-would they test drive it? would they check the code history in the computer? Would they take my alerts from the ford pass app? Nope . But they more than willing to try and overcharge me for side mirror signal lights being cracked. $70 part and 10 minutes of labor was quoted at $1,200 per light. I'm not sure what the point of having this man in client facing job other than intimidation. never again . read more

This service department is a bunch of crooks. In my opinion, they tried to take advantage of my wife during what should have been a routine oil change. She was called and told she needed four new tires for about $1,000 because of a single nail in one front tire. That tire could have been repaired with a simple plug. They also claimed the tread was too low, but when we checked it ourselves, it measured double the state's minimum legal requirement. From our experience, this felt like a blatant attempt to sell expensive, unnecessary work. If we had simply trusted their recommendations, we would have spent hundreds of dollars we didn't need to spend. After this experience, I have no confidence in the honesty of this service department. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any repairs or replacements they suggest, or better yet, taking your business somewhere else. read more

May 30th 2024 I walked into Fred Beans Ford Exton for the very first time, I was immediately greeted by a sales consultant named Hiep Luong. He asked me how he could help me and I told him I'm interested in the Ford Bronco. We walked out to the lot, he showed me what they had available. We test drove, and I really liked the bronco! I really liked how Hiep never felt like he was over talking and being "a pushy car salesman" he waited for me to talk and answered every question I had very politely. Further on I was introduced to many other team members at the dealership, all of which were very genuine and friendly to me. Overall, I felt very taken care of throughout my entire experience and never felt pushed! Pat the finance manager also made me feel very taken care of, as if I was family, and he fought to get me the very best interest rate & maintenance package on my payment. Purchased a vehicle from this awful place in December of 2024. Long story short, the tires on the vehicle are 10 years old. Took the vehicle to 2 different places and they refused to rotate the tires due to the fact the tires are over 6 years old and are considered unsafe and should be changed. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I took my car in for service, spent just about $1,800 to repair my vehicle. Drove the car one day and the warning lights came back on. After them having the car for a few days and driving it 70 miles, they ended up telling me that the warning lights mean nothing if they come back on, because there were no codes remaining, and the car was fine. We leased a vehicle from this dealership and were persuaded to purchase an extended warranty with the promise that any issues would be promptly addressed. We understood the importance of taking care of a new car from the start. During the first oil change, we mentioned that the rubber door seal on the back passenger side kept coming out of place. They assured us it was cleaned and re-secured, saying it should be fine. However, the problem persisted. When we brought it up again during the next oil change, the assistant service manager, Christophe Alchenberger, repeatedly insisted that "there is nothing wrong with it" and claimed "Ford won't cover it." It's frustrating to hear "there's nothing wrong with it" when it clearly needed to be pushed back into place after being pointed out, especially since the other side isn't experiencing the same issue. My 16-year-old Chevy truck doesn't have this problem. Yes, there is something wrong with it, and it would be more honest to say "Ford won't cover it even though it's not functioning as designed." I'm currently in the market for a new truck, but this dealership won't be getting my business, and at this point, it's unlikely to be a Ford at all. read more

We bought our Mustang Mach E here in September 2021. Shortly after purchase Ford issued a recall due to a safety issue with the windshield. It is now over a year and we still cannot get this dealership to assist with replacing the windshield. We spent 50k on an unsafe new vehicle. I'm scared driving our kids in it. Yesterday we traded a Bronco for a Maverick Hybrid Truck and had an amazing experience. We worked with Ron Bannister to find the perfect vehicle to meet the needs of my son. I've been evaluating Ford service departments for years and the team at Fred Bean does such an excellent job each and every time! After going to a local service garage they wanted to charge me almost $3000 to pass my car inspection I stopped their work immediately, but had to pay them $120 for just the inspection (expensive!). I then drove my car to Fred Bean who quickly gave me a quote for less than half to replace all my car's brakes and worn out rotors. You won't find a more capable or more honest service center. If I could leave zero stars I would. They gave me two options after NOT fixing my vehicle: pay $8000 or drive it off the lot. They didn't tell me it was unsafe to drive which it was. DON'T SIGN ANYTHING. Business manager Pat Rachor ran my credit when I told Salesperson Joe Sarmento that they didn't need to run my credit 5 times because I have already set up payment from the bank and down payment in cash to cover the whole cost of the vehicle. I didn't want my credit score to be affected by a credit check. So when it came time for me to go into Pat Rachor's office to sign the paperwork I told Pat that i had a bad experience with Fred Bean in Doylestown, Pa a few years back. He told me that this dealership was different. I started signing the paperwork and he put a piece of paper in front of me that looked like a credit check form and told me that he could beat the bank interest rate by 1/2 a point. I said i told you guys not to run my credit 5 times and his response was don't worry you credit will come back I a month or 2. If I hadn't already signed the Registration and Payment form already I would of stopped the deal right them. so at the end I ask for a copy of Documents and Pat said that I didn't need a copy . So I said are you telling me that you will not give me of all the legal documents I signed and Pat said that I wasn't going to get a copy of the paperwork. I brought a plug in hybrid and they didn't tell me about any EV discounts. Looks like Fred Bean of Exton is a BAD place to go if you look at Yelp reviews. I wish I had checked yelp before going there. ALSO I forgot to tell you that Fred Bean charges of triton security even if you don't want it, what they do is put a little sticker on the body parts and charge you $299.99. **THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW** Was hoping that by purchasing a used car from a small local car dealership that we would avoid any issues of being "lost in the shuffle" if we ever had any problems. My first red flag should have been that when we purchased the used car, the sales / general manager (Frank Levine) never left his desk to come out during either of negotiations or to thank us after the sale. Before we completed the sale, Sloan Ford allowed us to take the car to our local mechanic to have it checked out...our mechanic found one thing that we brought back to Sloan. Second red flag - Sloan refused to fix the issue, but instead offered to extend the 6-month warranty to a 12-month warranty. Fine. So we took the car back to our mechanic immediately following the completion of the sale and spent $300 to fix the problem WE DISCOVERED. No less than SIX DAYS after purchasing the car - a warning light came on - and the owners manual directed us to "contact the dealer" which we immediately did and dropped the car off that night. Next day we get a call from the service department telling us that it's a $300 fix. "I beg your pardon?? We have had this car for six days AND it's under warranty???" "Nope. Your issue is NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY!" After several agitating phone calls between my husband and the dealer - the service department decided to "split the difference." So - we've now spent another $450 ON TOP OF WHAT WE PURCHASED THE CAR FOR. Again - NO CONTACT from the sales manager even after my husband returned to the dealership to talk. Final red flag. Moral of the story? THEY LOST A CUSTOMER OVER $150 by their callous and indifferent attitude. No worries Sloan Ford - I'll be happy to take my money somewhere else next time. read more

A terrible service experience. Small bake line leak near a coupling. The first quote was $2000 to replace all the lines.The second and only other option was to replace the leaking line from master cylinder to rear brake for $1000. I had to suggest just the front part where it was leaking. The quote was then $600 and 4150 in parts when i went to pay it was $42 in parts but over $700 in labor for a 12" splice in the brake line. I had trouble downloading my service discount to my phone and was told i have to use it next time for service. Yea right there won't be a next time thats for sure. beware! read more

This is the first time I have my car taken care of after my 3 year service warranty is up and I was hesitating about going to a non-dealer service company but I was told that most of them I reached out to or I was recommended do not provide the shuttle service that can get me either to a train stop or my home. So I gave a shot to Sloan despite the average and negative reviews on yelp (I am a yelp person and I put a lot of credits to yelp when it comes to a business place). To my surprise, the service at Sloan is extremely good. The shuttle service stops at 4:30 pm so I was just going to walk from whitford station to Sloan. When the advisor called me and told me that my car is ready for pick up, I told him I might be late since the train arrives after 5 and it would take a while for me to walk there. My advisor told me not to walk and give him a call when I get off the train. I know the service center closes at 5:30 and I feel bad to hold people from getting off work so I didn't call. When I was half-way through, he called me again to ask if I have arrived. I told him I was walking and I was halfway there. He insisted I stop and wait for him to come and pick me up. It was very scary on whitford road in the dark coz there is no pedestrian road at all. He drove in with heat on and a pre-heated car seat! I was so surprised and grateful he would make his way to get me because it was sleeting earlier the day and it was very cold. My car was taken good care of for a super reasonable price and I am very satisfied with the services. Not only the service for my vehicle but also the caring and considerate services to the customer! This is the worst Ford dealership I have ever dealt with! I leased a 2018 Ford Explorer with a 'Bumper To Bumper' warranty from New Holland Ford. Being retired I drive the car very little. Several months ago while returning from the Jersey shore on the Atlantic City Expressway on April 28th my wife and I began to hear a very loud scraping noise coming from my right rear wheel. I only had approx. 11,500 total miles on the car at that time. I contacted Fred Beans, whose dealership is just down the road from me in Exton, PA, and made a service appointment. When I went to pick the car up they said I owed $552.43 because they had to replace the brake pads and rotors on the wheel. They claimed I must have left the emergency brake on. I argued that this was total nonsense as I have over 50 years of accident free driving experience and used to work on cars in my youth. I, like anyone else, surely knows when my emergency brake is engaged as it's "idiot light" glows brightly on my dash. I believe the brake caliper(s) froze and caused the brake to wear out coming down the expressway but they scammed me into paying them. When I brought up my 'Bumper To Bumper' warranty they said no due to my accused negligence and that pads and related parts would not be covered anyway - on a car with less than 12,000 miles on it! I looked up complainants on the Internet and see that, although infrequent, there have been previous complaints about the brake calipers freezing up. I asked for a telephone number for a Ford regional service manager to register a complaint. The number they gave to me was a general customer relations center, 800-392-3673, that could provide no consideration at all. When the lease termed I purchased the car due to the inherent chip shortage supply problem. I again contacted Fred Beans because of their close location to me to do the required sales and registration paperwork. I was told to ask for Michelle, their finance manager, but she never called me back. I received a call from a representative named Ron Bannister. He told me that it was Ford's policy that I had to go to the dealer I leased the car from, New Holland Ford which was over an hour away, to do the paperwork. Common sense told me that this was a lie which I confirmed after immediately calling Ford Credit who said any Ford dealer could do it. I called Ron back and told him what Ford had said. He said he would recheck with Michelle and call me back. He never did. This dealership is obviously mismanaged and run by liars and cheats! It is said the whole fish stinks when the head stinks. My vehicle was stuck there for three months. Every time I called for updates I was met with the nastiest of attitudes from the service manager. Finally on my last call, they said they would call me back when it was done. After I got the nerve to call again when no one was calling me back they said it had been ready for pick up for two days. Nobody had contacted me. Honestly a nightmare. Every call was excruciating and I wouldn't wish this kind of service on anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Started out great. I took my car in for an inspection. They called me back mid-afternoon told me I'd need additional work done to pass inspection but they'd need to order the parts. I told them to order and they were to notify me when parts were in. The owner even shuttled me from work back to garage to pick up my car. That's where the good ends. 6 weeks later I finally got a call asking me to schedule my appointment to come in and get the work done. All I needed was a front spring and a window motor. By this time I had already taken my car to another garage and had everything replaced 4 weeks before they even got the parts in for my car. He offered me a rebate that was not compatible with my other offers (which I verified with 5 other Ford dealers and through some online research) and I believe as then fully planning on taking it away once we agreed on a price. I made an appointment, which was 7 days out, for an oil change at 11am. I showed up at 10:45 so they wouldn't be waiting on me as I had a noon meeting to attend. At 11:45 I asked about the progress and was told they were working on it, but probably another 45 minutes or more before it would be done. Very poor customer service. I purchased my truck in 2014 from Sloan, they have had my phone number since then. The truck went in for inspection with a one week in advance appointment. The customer service agent read back to me my phone number at time of drop off. They called the wrong number, to let me know what needed to be done, and informed me it would be another day until parts arrived. I am now out three days of work, because they cannot get a telephone number correct. Therefore I must pickup my truck uninspected, so that I can keep MY customers satisfied. Disappointing! First time using this service center (and will be last - back to CarSense Service!) I scheduled an appointment for oil change and a Ford Recall (reason why I had to go to a Ford Service Center). I provided the exact recall number when I scheduled the appointment a month ago for today. Just got a call that they don't have the part to do the recall repair but can happily do do the oil change today. Really??? Wish it was possible to give 0 stars, had a right rear brake smoking on my Taurus, was told corroded brake hardware caused the caliper to not release. I complained to the service manager, and filed a complaint with Sloan Ford. I knew it was a caliper that would be covered under the Ford extended warranty. It turned out later to be a recurring issue, by this time it was out of warranty. Sloan Ford was aware the repair would be scrutinized, so their comments/corrective action were vague, it merely said customer requested check brakes, corrective action: R+R brake calipers, change pads and resurface discs. I paid over 800 dollars total for 2 visits, that if diagnosed correctly the first time, should have been a $100 deductible. I contacted owner left VM and emailed, no response. read more
