Within 48 hours of receiving my inspection, my check engine light came on. When I called to ask how this could happen, I was immediately offered to come back in for a diagnostic check for $115. Absolutely disgusting business model - I don't believe it was a coincidence that the light came on after they were in my car, and then the first offer is to have me pay more money for them to re-inspect it! Horrible customer service. Service manager talked over me the whole conversation. Our car wouldn't start took it in for them to tell us what was wrong. Told us it was the battery. Paid $800 for a battery, new wipers, top off some fluids and replaced a sensor. Went to pick the car up still wouldn't start. Same problem we brought the car in for. Had it for 2 days again saying it was starting fine. Once again when we came to pick it up wouldn't start again. Another day without the car and now they want another $800 for a starter. Now up to $1,600 to get the car fixed. Also, been without a car for a week now. When called they were very combative took no ownership of any wrong doing and very unprofessional. They worked tirelessly, including some later hours on a weekend, just to make sure that I would get my car diagnostics back within the same day, in order to get resolution. This made me feel valued as a customer. I would highly recommend this shop for an oil change, routine maintenance, and inspection service. I went in with one tire sensor not reading and throwing an error. After 3 hours and $189 dollar charge I now have four sensor's not reading. They have no clue on how to fix tire sensor even though it's a tire shop! All I heard was a lot of cussing and my door to my car being slammed multiple times. I have been using this Firestone for about 6 years and I am an Asian Indian who lives in Exton. There used be a African American at this reception who used to take care of me most of the times. Today when I went for an oil change , there was this old Caucasian guy named Chas who was extremely impatient . I totally felt that he does not like Asian Indians and needs a training in dealing with customers with diverse background. As long as Firestone has people like him, I will not go back. On Tuesday April 2, 2024 I received the greatest customer service I have experienced in quite a while. Bud checked me in for my state inspection and was so helpful and so kind. He explained everything, with a sense of humor. Unfortunately my registration had expired. The gentleman who performed the inspection (I do not recall his name) helped me renew it from my phone. Had car troubles in the middle of a 6 hour drive and struggled to find a mechanic open on Sunday to help me out as the car was barely driving. Luckily this Firestone took me in and was able to diagnose and replace my bad fuel injector in under 24 hours, even working on Memorial day to get me back on the road. Went downhill after manager Andrew Kaplan left. They seem to have no interest is doing work that needs to be done, but try to sell services that aren't needed. One daughter went in because the check engine light is on, they just used an OBD to reset it and charged me for an hour of labor. Another went in for an oil change and have her tires rotated, they tried to convince her they always do an alignment after rotating the tires. I showed up in the morning with an appointment for a brake job, waited for four hours and drove out with no brakes. Luckily I was able to use my parking brake to stop and get back to the shop without having an accident. All I got was an "Oops, our bad", and a coupon for a free oil change. Went here for a standard oil change and they ended drilling throwing my windshield wiper line so my liquid squired wouldn't work. They also destroyed the vent next to the transmission. They are unskilled workers and after I had spent a fortune getting it replaced. They also could not fix or plug the slow air leak in my front right tire after I went and wasted my money three times trying to get it plugged. Extremely unprofessional and a waste of money. Terrible! Made an appointment a few days ago, and dropped off my car at 11:00 this morning. Guy indicated it'd be done about three - which I thought was a somewhat long time for two tires & an oil change, but no major issue. Didn't get a call, but went to pick it up at 3:15. Still on the lift! I finally paid & got my key at 4:16. Left, looked at the tires, and saw that while I had requested that the front tires be moved to the back & the new ones put in the front, the new tires were put on the back. I went in and commented (NOT happily), and the dude said, "Oh! We can do it now." I think not - you had the vehicle for five hours already! The guy who actually did the work had the balls to tell me he didn't get the instructions to put the tires on the back. See the image below. I can guarantee I won't go back! read more

I dropped my truck off at this location last night, 4/24/2015 at 5:00pm. I was told that it would be looked at that evening, or at least the engine assessment would be completed and they would call me with update. I never got call, called the number I thought was theirs first thing this morning at 8:15am (two hours after they open). It turned out to be the connected garage for Meineke. The gentleman from Meineke answered and said "I don't have your truck here, you might have left it with Firestone next door. Since both places are connected, I must have made the mistake by leaving it with Firestone instead. NEVER AGAIN!! Not only did they never call me, THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH MY TRUCK. IT SAT THERE ALL NIGHT. I was supposed to spend the day with my mother I haven't seen in 2 years, which I told them last night. I left the truck with one of them last night so that they didn't have to rush, then they drove me home...and let it sit doing nothing to it. Now, my day is wasted...and thank GOD for Meineke next door tracking my truck down. I was just about to call the police since I didn't know who had my truck. I will never go to this place again, they obviously have no respect for their clients time and family. Horrible, I have used them before and never this kind of poor treatment towards me. Great service! I travel for work constantly putting about 300 miles on my truck daily. I pulled in the parking lot at 4:15pm on a Sunday thinking hey I'll pick out the tires and set up payment for the next day, Ted said toss him the keys he'll take care of everything today... again I pulled into the lot at 4:15... they close at 5:00. Great customer service and total chill fellas who kick ass at their job. My husband and I use this location of Firestone and have been satisfied for years. I can honestly say that I trust them. You just should always ask up front how much something is going to cost including electrical testing no matter where you go. It's best to get there first thing in the morning if you want to wait for an inspection or something more major than an oil change. I am tired of being ripped off by the car dealerships too. Been using these guys for all my tire & standard service needs for a few years since I got fed up with my dealers' attitude and poor service. The team here does a great job. For example, I recently went in with a hard pull to the right in my steering and assumed I needed alignment done. They took a look and explained that my tires were causing the pull and needed to be replaced (I knew this already since they had barely passed their last inspection). Since I had snow tires at home, I asked about just swapping in the snow tieres (Blizzaks) early. They explained that in September in my area it is too warm for the Blizzaks and that there would be premature wear caused to the tires if I did that. So, they solved the problem until it got cool enough to make the change by tweaking the tire pressure to compensate for the pull. Thus I didn't have to buy the new set immediately and didn't have to tolerate the pull! Wow! What service! And they didn't charge for the advice or tweaking! Andy and his team are also considerate of customers' time and will give you an honest appraisal of the time to turn your car around if you are waiting for it (call ahead). They have a comfortable waiting room with a water cooler, coffee machine, TV and magazines, and generrally get my car back to me a little faster than expected. read more

Been coming here for many years, but with a change in management, and a lack of respect for me and my customer loyalty, I see no reason to return. Wife's car was having "check engine" problems so had to take the car there more than once. Dropped it off, but they still could not locate the source. Manager got snippy because I was expecting to not have my car sit there the entire day, although I had dropped it off. I wasn't important because I wasn't waiting? Don't think so. Last visit resulted in the car's transmission having bucking problems although it was fine before the visit. I find it too convenient for it to be just a coincidence. Took the car to a transmission shop, where the transmission was replaced at a cost of hundreds of $$, and the "check engine" light re-appeared. I don't accept incompetence, so I have located a smaller shop that fixed the problem on the first try, and then noticed that my brakes made excessive noise. Rust, I was told in the past, was the culprit, but my new place boiled it down to the cheap pad material, and that the work was not properly done with an extra effort. After years of being a Firestone customer, I'm done. read more

I sent this letter/email to Firestone in Exton, PA and never got back more than a generic response saying they would be in contact with me....it never hapoened. I had spent $1000's with them over 4 years. I had been using this Firestone location (Exton) for 4 years for all of my vehicle repairs and services. Because of some issues I had with them, I now go to another place. I just had one of my vehicles FAIL INSPECTION because of a loose Emergency Brake Cable was not connected. This Firestone location did the last inspection and replaced the rear brakes at this time. My new mechanic told me the pin that attaches the cable was installed, but not the clip that holds the cable. How does a vehicle pass inspection with a loose cable. My mechanic said it just does fall off. This is a Big Safety Issue! This is not the only issue I've had. The front wheel bearings had be replaced a few times within a year or so. They even put in a bad one and one not correctly. I had to tell them to put in a different brand. The original one lasted about 130,000 miles and the new lasted less than 20,000 miles. My understanding from someone who is knowledgeable with Firestone that they always put in lower quality parts. Which causes you to replace them sooner. I've spent thousands of dollars there and just got tired of these problems which to me are safety issues. Also, getting over charged for services and for petty services. On a bill of $2000 you charged me $6.00 to install new windshield wiper blades, come on this ridicules. $120 Labor Charge to replace rear brake pads not including the pads at $90, I was told they did not turn down the rotors, which most repairs places do or replace them. $210 and I had the front brakes and rotors replaced for $40 more. Not having my full trust in the mechanics and management there, in both work done, billing and my families safety, is why I took my business else where. I have let my family, friends and co-workers know this. read more

Have had a few issues with this particular location with a few different cars. First car (Hyundai Sonata) there was an issue where when you turned the wheel it made terrible creaking noises. The tech said it was probably some specific part (don't remember which one he said since it's been over 4 years ago). Took the car to the dealer to have it fixed mentioned the specific part the tech mentioned and the dealership tells me that part is only ever in trucks and that the problem was a bushing. Next car (Chevrolet Cruze) was having problems starting. They claimed it was the battery and replaced it. Some days later it's having problems again and won't start. Turns out the starter arm needed replaced and not the battery. Take the Cruze again for an oil change. They put it some blend and charge over $40 dollars for it when I know I've gotten a $20 change on it before. They also tried to up sell some tires. Needless to say I am going back to the dealer for a second opinion on that and for the inspection. After all these things I won't be back to firestone. read more

I can't speak for all Firestone shops but the shop in Exton is outstanding. Andy and his team are honest and do a great Job! I have several cars due to several teenagers in my hh. I see these folks on a regular basis. Just yesterday I was in the shop to have a tire repaired due to nail stuck in the tread. At first we thought we would have to replace the tire due to the location of the nail. I was ready to do just that when they came back and told me it was only the head of the nail that was stuck in the tread. They popped it out for no charge and I left the repair shop with an extra $215 in my pocket. Honesty and solid relationships matter. I will continue to use this shop for my car needs! read more

I had them do a simple oil change - the first one ever done on my car, and then sent somewhere else for the next oil change and was told that the people who did the last oil change (which would have been Firestone) put the oil filer on in such a way that it cannot be taken off. read more

My wife and I had an appointment here for an oil change on her car and an alignment on mine. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, someone finally got to my car. But instead of driving into the bay, I see my car being zoomed off onto the streets full throttle. I have the lifetime alignment through Firestone and I have never been to one that needed to test drive before the alignment, heck, most don't even test drive afterwards. After a while in the bay, they told me they couldn't do the alignment due to my car being lowered. I bought the lifetime alignment after my car was lowered and I have not had one Firestone reject me. Sure this may be an one off case since my car was modified. Oh well, you're welcome for the joy ride. But there's more. We left after my wife's oil change was done. About 2 miles down the road, my wife called me and told me something smelled funny and there was smoke coming out the engine. We pulled into a parking lot and I could smell something was burning as soon as I got out of my car. More smoke came out the engine when I popped the hood. Guess what? The engine cap was laying on the back of the engine!! Worst service I've ever had. Do not go here unless you want your car to be ruined. read more

I got four new blizzak tires for a good price. They made a world of difference out in the snow. My car used to struggle with small inclines, and I would spend half a green light tapping the accelerator gently to try and get traction. Now I can drive as if there isn't snow and ice on the road. I tested my new tires stopping power against a f-250 truck. My stopping distance was roughly half. I'm very happy with the purchase and the quick and kind service. read more

I have never been so satisfied by an auto shop before!!! I have been coming here ever since Pep Boys gave me the worst service imaginable. It was the first and last time I went there, so I took my business elsewhere. Going to firestone was the best decision I made for my car!! Now three years into having my car, I have never had an issue with anything done at your location. I will always use Firestone for all my car needs. The service you guys give is beyond exceptional and you all are so pleasant there. That is the exact reason why I won't change from Firestone. Today, I was desperately in need of an oil change. Being Memorial Day weekend, the entire week was busy and booked. I was running a little late dropping my car off this morning, and I wasn't sure if the oil change would be finished in time before I had to leave for work. BUT you guys made my car a priority and finished it within 30-45 minutes even though originally it was estimated to be there all day, due to it being extremely busy. I am extremely pleased and satisfied with the auto service as well as the customer service!!! Firestone, I would give you guys 10 stars if I could!!! read more
