We always use this lot when we go on vacation. Decent prices especially if you have the smartcard and the shuttles run fairly often.

So we waited for 45 minutes to get picked up and added an extra hour to our travel home. We have parked here for many years, but an unapologitic employee named Jay told me that all 6 of us missed the bus when it came by. BS...WE WERE ALL LOOKING AND WAITING. I found out that they had 6 buses ready to go and one driver. Do NOT leave your car here! EVER! We waited an HOUR to be picked up from this lot that advertises that it's only four blocks away from the airport. After 30 minutes I called again and was told the "shuttle was on its way, but was delayed because of traffic". Almost 11p.m. when we were finally picked up, and surprisingly the "traffic" was no where to be seen after we left the airport. Not only that, the attendants for some reason changed the memory seat settings in our car. Why would anyone mess with those?!? Both settings were changed to make the seat move all the way forward and sit straight up. I will NEVER patronize this business/service again, and I'd advise everyone against using them either! BEWARE. I have been using this company for our traveling needs - see prior reviews. We've had nothing but positive experiences for over ten years now. They've completely gone downhill and I'm sad that we will never, NEVER, use them again. In May of 2025, we parked our Tesla there for a week. We checked and saw that the car was being driven someplace. Apparently, they were parking it elsewhere but never notified us. Fine. My husband picked up the car and came to pick our kids and I up at the airport (since you have to shuttle it to the lot, then pick up the car, it was easier to just let us wait at the airport with all our luggage and he come with the car himself). As he picked us up and we were loading the car, we noticed a bunch of scratches on the car. We've made numerous attempts to contact them and they simply do not care. We even took the car in the next day to show the manager and they ensured they'd reach back out and nothing. Pay extra and go somewhere else. Accidents happen but to ghost us after letting us know you'd find a solution is not ok. They've lost a loyal customer and I wouldn't risk parking my car here again. read more

Every time I get bamboozled with a discount from this place I think, maybe it'll be better this time around. Nope. The receptionist is always miserable to guests, no matter what time of day you make contact with them. The wait at the airport is consistently longer than with any of the other parking options, most recently it was 30 minutes. Their shuttles are non-air conditioned, badly stained, with gum on the seats. I have learned my lesson this time finally.. Tip: Call ahead to make sure they have a parking spot for you though. The process to check in and out is pretty quick and straightforward. We were told to wait at bay 3B. Every shuttle that passed us was full. Got fed up, walked to bay 2, finally caught a shuttle with some spots left after waiting for 45 minutes. Get back to our car and it literally looks like it had been tarred and feathered. Coated in sticky substance, debris from the nearby trees and bird excrement. It was dark outside and you could see all the debris on the car from 40 feet away. I thought it was paint at first. Definitely would not recommend parking your car here. read more

I rented a car via Turo for a few days and to my surprise, the drop-off was at this slightly hidden gem... A low-cost parking center with 24hr shuttle service. It was super easy to pull in and be guided to where to park. I gave my confirmation number inside (where they have restrooms and water... possibly coffee as well). I left the keys with them and waited for my friends to scoop me up as I actually still had two and a half more days in town... Just wanted a rental for exploring solo and this was easy. If needing the joys and services of Extra Car you can reserve online as well as in-person... Which I recommend. The owner of the car I rented has been a longstanding customer with virtually no issues, but I can imagine being one of the best deals so close to the airport minor hiccups happen... Extra Car Parking's business model is based on deception and scam. I inquired by phone regarding needing four days of airport parking and wanted to purchase a two day parking package from Groupon. The lady representative instructed me to buy the Groupon package and then login into their website to make a reservation for the four days I needed and to guarantee the reservation I must checkout with full payment for those four days. Extra Car Parking will honor the Groupon purchase and adjust the final transaction amount just bring my Groupon Certificate. Well after my travel I picked up my car and the lady representative gave me my car keys and tried to rush me out saying that I "paid in full. Thank you". No paperwork or receipt. I then immediately reminded her that our phone conversation regarding my Groupon purchase adjustment hasn't completed. She said they don't use Groupon. I argued the fact that they advertise special parking rates on Groupon and also our phone conversation. She repeated said they don't do Groupon and brought the business owner over to tell me the same thing. The owner said in their over thirty years of business they never accept a third party sale like Groupon even though they advertise there. I purchased the two days parking package and then their four days reservation in full. If Extra Car Parking was honest I should've only paid for the one extra day I needed got an adjustment on my credit card. Instead I paid double for those two extra days. None of them seemed to be answering phones. I then hung up my phone call. - I was in line behind a family. As soon as the family started to exit, two staff members asked me, "Why are you just standing there?" because I was waiting for the family to move before storming the front desk. I was the only customer in the building. - The person at the desk asked for my ticket, but I misheard and thought she asked for my name. She asked again, "Do you have your ticket?" and I said "Oh I'm sorry! I thought you asked for my name" and started to get the ticket out. She then said, "Your ticket!" a third time, as if I was not in the process of getting it out...? Or as if there was a hugely long line? Very strange. read more

I filled out an incident report, and have been following up for two weeks and have only gotten the runaround. Apparently, there's a "Michael" that works there that is supposed to handle this. Long Post Review trying to save the next people the headache and hassle we have gone through with this company. After reading the reviews on every platform (Google, Yelp, Etc.) this company has a constant problem stealing items out of vehicles, losing keys/fobs, damaging vehicles, etc. We have used Extra car for 10+ years with absolutely no issues. Back in August we went to Philadelphia dropped the car off and came back to find someone rummaged through the trunk and moved stuff from the trunk to the back seat. Called management and addressed the issue at that time. That bring us to today (Oct 9th,2023) arrived back from Cali to discover they lost our cars keys. Yes, LOST the keys...how I don't know when you get a ticket upon giving the front desk your keys during the check in process. All the dropped off car keys go int their own manila envelope with the other half of the ticket staple to it and placed in wooden boxes. We waited for over for 30 mins before asking for an update, was told "they are still looking", still looking just like everyone else our keys should have been processed the same way as everyone else. My manager or assistant manager onsite to speak to literally waiting an 2.5 hours before the lady helping stated her manager said they are calling a locksmith to make a new keys. During this time we spent waiting they are continuing to check people in and out, answering phones, workers are asking us you guys are still here waiting, taking there sweet time as if we have all the time in the world. During this process we walked to the car to see if the keys were possibly in the ignition only to discovered the center console was opened, again an employee went through our vehicle rummaging through. 2.5 hrs into this ordeal the lady sorta helping us say to me Michael my manager will be given you a call. Michael called to say that they are sending their locksmith to unlock the car, make new keys and obviously the expense for parking the car would be on them and he will take care of our time spent there as well. Well of course those things are very much obvious, why would we be paying for a locksmith to unlock the vehicle and make new keys as we are not the ones that lost them. Before leaving i asked Michael do I go back inside for the refund. He replied "No, they can't do anything with that. My Wife & I have already reached out to our Admin office. They do refunds in batches (for cancellations, etc.). They will be doing credits in the next day or two. If you can provide a good e-mail address, I will make sure they send you a confirmation." Provided him the information he requested and finally left the lot three hours later. A month later we finally received our refund for parking, I'll spare you the back and forth to obtain this check. This chapter of our life is over and unfortunately we will not be recommending this space nor will we continue to park at Extra-Car. read more

Don't use these guys, called and confirmed what my price would be with the groupon deal plus additional days. They guy quoted me $44.04 as my additional total with taxes and fees after the groupon for my 6 nights. I never got my confirmation email so I called back. My email was wrong. When I asked to confirm the information again with her she said he did it wrong and my total would be over $70 after the groupon. When I told her that wasn't what I was quoted they told me the guy messed up. At this point I had already bought the groupon and it couldn't be refunded. Since I made the reservation based on what I was quoted I told them it wasn't right and asked them to honor the quoted price for my dates, which the guy who made my reservation confirmed. The employee told me it wasn't possible and proceeded to raise her voice at me when I expressed that this wasn't right. She told me I would have to pick my car up early if I only paid that price, not sure how that works when you are traveling. I asked for a supervisor who said sorry her employee messed up but they would be charging me the extra cost. She then accused me of trying to get free parking out of them, as if I did it on purpose? Her employee was the one who messed up, I was just going based on what I was told. The manager raised her voice at me, then stated she was cancelling my reservation, and hung up on me. This was one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. read more

We parked there this last August for two weeks , when we returned our car had been driven 6 miles and smelled of tobacco. Upon returning home I noticed that my front tires where worn more than I remembered them being. Today I got it confirmed by our repair shop that three wheels , the two front ones and left rear , had been replaced. ( This is a new car and we haven't driven enough miles for the tires to be worn out. ) I guess someone needed our tires more than we did and it makes me wonder what other parts they may have needed. I would not recommend this place in any case. Should you choose to park there anyway, then make sure you take pictures of your entire vehicle And don't forget the odometer. Obviously no stars for this outfit, they are not only taking your money they also take newer parts from your car and replaces them heavier used parts. Good luck . Shady lot operated by shady people. While this option may appear to be cost effective, it's wiser to spend the extra money and park at the airport. Making the reservation and dropping the car off here was easy. However, they do not require any documents (such as a formal agreement) to be signed, which should have been our first red flag. The second red flag is that they failed to explain that they operate multiple lots and may transfer the vehicle between the lots without informing the vehicle owner. We received a notification from the camera installed in our truck that it had been driven 21 minutes and approximately 2 miles. We called to politely inquire about it however, the woman who answered the phone was nasty and dismissive of our concerns. We asked if they would be replacing the gas they used (the truck takes premium gas) and she said no they do not do that. We then asked who would be responsible if THEY got into an accident or damaged our vehicle during transfer, to which she stated they would not be responsible. We then asked if they would consider notifying future customers about transfer between lots so they aren't surprised like we were. She did not like that recommendation and with a disgruntled and frustrated tone stated she would transfer us to management. While we were on hold I exclaimed to my partner that this lady is a real b*tch, which is absolutely and undeniably a fact based upon her attitude and responses. She popped back onto the call, said "Excuse me?!? Yeah." then ended the call without transferring us to a manager. Rather than taking the time to acknowledge our concerns, politely explaining how they operate, and offering a method to file a grievance she just decided she had enough of the conversation. This was my go-to parking lot for several years. Valet-only and very close to the airport. During a busy travel week I arrived to park and was informed that an email had been sent to me the previous day to let me know my reservation was cancelled because they had overbooked. The message had gone to my junk mail. I was given a paper printout with directions to go to a different company's lot down the road and present the letter and the price would be honored. This was a self-park lot filled with potholes and was downhill from the parking office. Lots of confusion at the other company's office about how to honor the price and override the regular price. Cost me a lot of time and headache on a travel morning when I didn't have extra time to spare. And they made me hunt down my parking deposit that is supposedly handled by a third party that runs Extra Car's booking website. read more

I've been leaving my car with Extra Car for over 15 years and had been pretty happy with them until the last year or two. I purchased a Smart Card from them many years ago and kept reloading it as needed. Their Smart Card program meant you got a cheaper rate because you prepaid for blocks of days or weeks and you could show up without a reservation. I forgot my card at home in the rush to the airport but thought it would be fine since my card is linked to my name and email address. I even logged in and made sure I had days left. The person at the desk told me I was supposed to have my card with me but they would make an exception this one time. I left my car and hopped on the shuttle to the airport. The shuttle driver was very unfriendly and acted irritated. They often make several stops to pick up returning people at various islands before you get to your drop off point so the drivers have always announced which airlines were for each drop off. When we got to the drop off location he just stopped and opened the door. We thought he was picking up someone but after a few moments he just waved his hands at us and yelled, "OK!" I returned 18 days later and was told I owed them $412. I asked them to breakdown the charges. They said it was $19.99 per day (An online reservation without a Smart Card would have cost $13.99/day). I said I had a Smart Card and could log in and show them I had a card, still had days left, and had been told it would be fine when I arrived 18 days ago. They said I had to pay the drive up/no reservation rate and that I couldn't use the days I had already purchased. "We don't make the rules," they said. Just about any other business would let you use your pre-paid days/card holder rate with proof of ownership of the account. Extra Car appears to be using a technicality (not having your card with you) to charge loyal customers much higher rates than the customer would expect. These drive up rates are NOT posted on their website as their FAQ claims. I hope they feel losing a longtime customer was worth the extra $400 dollars they squeezed out of me because it's the last time I will use them. read more

Had an unfortunate experience. Booked and paid online. When I was dropping off our car they said I still owed an additional $15, I showed the online booking receipt and they acknowledged I was paid in full. When I went to pick up my car Dana, who was working the desk rudely said "you owe $15, we'll bill your credit card" I told her we booked and paid online line and she said "no, you owe $15" She then asked for my name and said she did not have me in the system (she was going off of the ticket they gave me when I checked the car in) There seemed to be confusion with their system and Dana was flustered and very unwilling to work through the problem on their end. They had my car under someone else's name. Ultimately I showed her my receipt and she realized we had paid in full when we booked. What an unnecessarily frustrating experience!! I understand there can be breakdowns with technology, but the unprofessional treatment by the staff felt like they were running some sort of a scam. I have parked at Extra Car multiple times (always used to recommend) and this last time, when I picked up my car after a week there as a noticeable 14" crack in my windshield in my field of vision. I spoke to a nice man working that evening who took pictures and my information. He said someone would get in touch with me in a "couple of days". He mentioned they have a "windshield guy" they work with they could hopefully rectify after looking at film. 5 days later (Thurs), I had not heard from anyone, so I called and was told their claims person "M" was out until Monday morning (family emergency). I should leave a msg and he'd call me back Mon am. Monday night I left ANOTHER message. 2 days later I still hadn't received a call back. A very nice employee promised she would have either "M", or the owner call me back that SAME day. 24 hours later, I had yet to receive a call, so I called YET again (4th time). The same employee said she'd talked to "M" the day before and he promised he would call me right away. He did not. "M" finally called me back that day and provided the following reasons for his lack of follow-through: * Family emergency * Short staffing * Bad cell service * The time he had to spend on researching my case He proceeded to "educate" me about cracked windshields: * How many times it happens * It must've been an invisible chip that the hot weather caused to "run" ("physics") * Their "guys" are in/out of about 50+cars a day in the heat and turn the air on * Glass on cars these days is not as good as older ones (mine = 2010) He said they can't take "any responsibility or liability" as they "didn't physically cause the crack" so I need to file a comp claim. So, it took 12 days of driving w/ a cracked windshield (and concern about visibility and a possible ticket) to be told there is nothing that could be done. read more

Upon parking in the Extra Car lot, I took a photo of my dashboard showing gas mileage remaining and an odometer. When I returned 5 days later, they had put 30 miles on my vehicle and the fuel remaining was down 50 miles. I discussed the issue with the manager on site and she did not seem concerned about the discrepancies even though she told me they moved my car to a lot only 1 mile away and back. She recommended that I email the business and upper management would contact me. I emailed the next day including the photos and all information and no one from the business has contacted me.
