I recently needed furniture moved, which had previously belonged to my maternal grandparents. And I needed this done, urgently. So I googled "movers" and came across "Extra Care Movers." When I I contacted Extra Care Movers and explained my dilemma,, this company shared that they already had a very busy day. I was not very optimistic becauseI was, after all, merely a stranger to them and I was calling for a move I needed immediately. However, I was DESPERATE. Furthermore, the items I needed moved were and are very precious to me. I have BIG trust issues and would have preferred to move them myself; however, I lacked the strength. With 3 guys and three hand trucks they had my son's 2 bedroom upstairs apartment emptied out and in the truck in under two hours. Promptly reversed the process moving all the furniture upstairs to his new condo, placed it where it needed togo and put all the boxes into his garage in just over 3 1/2 hrs total. I have used Extra Care Movers twice now. They always have the best pricing and beat other movers quotes. Just like their name suggests they really do take the extra care with items. Before they start the moving process, they wrap up items and discuss what the day will look like. They work efficiently and take care not to break/scratch anything. After each move I've never opened a box or looked over furniture to find damage/breakage. It really helps me worry less. They work fast (even with my apartment on the 3rd floor and 35 plus boxes); it's taken them about 3.5 hours each time. The movers are careful, kind, and seem to enjoy their work. First and foremost, these guys are the best. I, hands down, recommend this moving company. Period! I had James, the owner, and Chris were my movers. They came with a 26' moving truck. What a GREAT team. They moved my garage and at least 2 bedrooms of boxes so quickly, I was amazed. And they made easy work of really heavy dining table. It was a monster. Really heavy and they moved it like it was nothing. What I really liked is they treated my furniture with care. They wrapped my chairs so they would not get damaged. Moving blankets to protect everything they put into the truck. I felt my move was a little difficult. Not only were they moving boxes and furniture from our house to a storage unit but then emptying another storage into my new one storage. So I had 5x10 storage full of crap. Ok my fiance would say valuable stuff but she is not writing the review. LOL. Anyway, I was moving the 5x10 into a 10x10 and everything we had at the house. I was really impressed the way they were able to empty the truck and empty my storage and stack everything in my new 10X10, it looked beautiful! Chris attributed the organizing of my storage to playing years of Tetris. Which I will not disagree with because it was PERFECT. I have to say the way James and Chris worked together and coordinated their time to move everything I had, it was truly efficient. And the way they conducted themselves was completely professional. I was able to make last minute arrangements to move both my office and the contents of a storage unit to a new office location. Extra Care Movers was on time, careful, and completed the moves in a reasonable amount of time. They had the right equipment and workers to perform the move.
