After the service was completed, I observed debris remaining in multiple sections of the gutter system and took photographs documenting my concerns. Based on what I observed, I did not believe the entire gutter system had been fully cleaned as described in the scope of work. I contacted the company on the day of the service and requested a follow-up visit. Although a return visit was discussed, it ultimately never took place, and my concerns regarding the completeness of the cleaning were never fully addressed. Because of this, I did not feel the work fully matched my expectations for a complete gutter cleaning. To be fair, ASF did perform significant work, including gutter repairs and cleaning in other areas, and the company ultimately worked with me to reach a mutually agreed resolution of the matter. Future customers may wish to inspect the gutters carefully after service and document any concerns promptly.

Their work included power-washing the entire house, first power-cleaning and lastly finishing off by hand the exterior windows (which was my choice, next time I will have them do the insides too), removing and cleaning all window screens separately (the result of which was fantastic, almost as though there are no screens there!) hand-cleaning all window channels (which were filthy black), cleaning the back deck, cleaning the driveway (at his suggestion and at no charge!), and cleaning the entryway to the house. I selected Saul at the recommendation of the most highly recommended person on Consumer's Checkbook who turned out not to work in San Francisco proper. He most highly endorsed Saul as a former employee of his now working independently and covering San Francisco. Other contractors interviewed included another highly rated firm who stated when asked that they were unable use water containing an anti-fungal agent. I had assumed this was standard practice and essential, and my research corroborated that this was indeed advisable and particularly when dealing with the vinyl siding with which my house is clad. Another interviewee gave me an estimate over the phone, but when they saw the house stated that scaffolding would be required to do the work. I have been told that this would add thousands of dollars to the overall cost and had had the work previously several times without this having been done. All in all, I would give Saul and his son my highest recommendation. Their attention to detail was most impressive, an example of which was their refraining from using the highest pressure on areas where it was inadvisable, as my research had also suggested with vinyl siding in particular.
