He spent a tremendous amount of time answering my questions, helping me understand the process, and putting a deal together. As a new rider, I appreciated the effort he put in. The problem wasn't the salesperson. The problem was management. I was purchasing a motorcycle along with roughly $2,000 in riding gear. At some point during the process, there was a misunderstanding regarding a pair of boots that I believed were included in the deal. When I discovered they were not, I wasn't asking for the motorcycle price to be lowered. I wasn't negotiating freight, setup fees, or other dealer charges. In fact, I agreed to buy the motorcycle at the advertised price. I simply tried to find a reasonable solution to a misunderstanding that occurred during the sales process. When I spoke with GSM Joe O, I suggested multiple compromises, including splitting the difference. Instead of working toward a solution, Joe interrupted me saying I was "talking in circles" and made it clear he wasn't willing to do anything further. He was not willing to do anything to try and make the deal right. I'll own my part. After that conversation, I told Cody via the messaging system that I thought Joe had been rude and was acting like D. Was that the most professional wording? No. But it was an honest reaction to how I felt I had been treated. What happened next is what shocked me. After weeks of communication, countless conversations, and a customer who was ready to buy, I was informed by Joe that he no longer wanted my business. Despite his salesperson reaching out that day to button up the deal.... My wife had approved the purchase, the down payment was ready, and the only remaining question I had was regarding delivery. The deal was done. See text attached. I never shopped this deal around. I trusted the dealership, worked exclusively with them for weeks, and was prepared to move forward. What makes this so disappointing is that it appears the transaction wasn't canceled because of price, financing, or an unreasonable request. It appears it was canceled because I expressed an unfavorable opinion about the GSM Joe. If that's the case, then management allowed personal feelings to override common sense. A sale was lost. A salesperson lost a commission after investing weeks of effort. The dealership lost revenue. And a customer who was ready to buy walked away. Strong leaders can handle criticism. Strong leaders separate their feelings from business decisions. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. Today I'll be driving to the Bay Area to purchase a motorcycle that Elk Grove Powersports could have sold. That fact alone tells the story better than I ever could.

Their parts department is OK, Can't say much about sales since I don't buy from them and they overpriced tags And their Service department is Overpriced, Slow, and Unreliable. I brought my Ninja here to get the tires replaced since I had a blown tire from a long ride, and while I was there I was going to get it tuned up with an Valve inspection, Oil Change, Air filter & Spark Plugs. I towed my bike there with the blown tire and had no issues with my bike starting or idling, I walked the bike with the engine on since it was easier than to push it in gear. Left the bike there and was scheduled to be worked on 2 weeks later, Called for an update after the 3rd week and still had not been looked at. After the 4th week they called me asking if they can install aftermarket Spark plugs since they couldn't get OEM. I gave the go ahead and a day later they called again saying my bike would not start with my Power commander installed, and could not release my bike without it in running condition. They removed my Dynojet and blamed it on my Tune that the bike could not stay idle without cutting out. When I went to pick it up I was not happy, all I wanted was the tires replaced with a tune up. They also Mentioned that they cannot work an any vehicle that is modified. I received my Bike in working condition with my parts removed and was charged just over $1500 For tires and a tune up. I went to a little known Speed shop in Modesto and got my Dynojet reinstated and retuned. Asked for an invoice for the installation cost and asked SHY to reimburse me the $100 installation cost. The GM denied it and said it was because my tune was faulty. Bike was not faulty when I delivered it, they did do any due diligence before service. They don't test if the Engine runs before they start working on it. If you go here for their service department all they can do right is a tire change The owner has 3 locations in Stockton and I will no longer be a customer at any. They saved $100 and for the thousands I spend there every year for maintenance and parts.

Mike, I got your message loud and clear, therefore I will not come back. Good luck with your boss.

I live about 2 hours away so I spoke with the sales rep, Ernie and handled everything over the phone. This part of the process was fairly easy. I went to pick up the Beta a couple days later, and that is when things went south. When I arrived to pick it up, it was ready to go, signed the paper work, loaded it up and headed home. When I arrived home and went to unload my new Beta, I noticed parts were hanging off the bike. Upon further inspection I noted screws missing, loose bolts, and a broken left mirror. I let them know, and they apologized and said to bring the bike back so they could go through it, again. I tightened things back up myself, and strapped down the part that was hanging off. When I took it for a test ride, something blew out from around the silencer and melted to it, leaving an ugly mess, coolant was also leaking from a lower radiator hose, and throttle response was very jerky, and not smooth. I parked the bike, loaded it back up and brought it two hours back to the dealer a few days later due to the long holiday weekend. When I dropped it off, Mike the service manager made me feel like they were doing "ME" a favor by fixing it, even though some of the issues were due to their negligence.I asked if they were trained on this bike, they said no. So they're selling and servicing a bike they are not technically trained on? I contracted Beta USA, they contacted Capitol Yamaha and walked them through repairs. After another week, I was told the bike was ready and drove another two hours to pick it back up. Returned home and proceeded to adjust the levers for my riding style. When I went to adjust the front brake lever, loosening the top clamp bolt first, the head of the bolt snapped off. I took it for a test ride and the idle was so high it was like it had cruise control. Very frustrated, I called the dealer again. Spoke with Mike, and again he made me feel like they did me a favor, never once offering anything for my troubles. I contacted Beta USA again, looking for another dealer to take it to, and they got me in touch with another dealer. I contacted the other dealer, and immediately they gained my confidence by explaining why I was having some of the issues I was dealing with, and knew exactly how to resolve them. I'd like to also add that Beta sent me a hat and t-shirt for my troubles. Yes, a branded hat and t-shirt. Yay for me! I had just spent $14K on a new Dual Sport bike that has numerous issues. I'm currently scheduled to bring it in to the other dealer. Will updated once work is completed. All in all, I feel like the dealer dismissed me away, and Beta USA did the bare minimum. Very disappointed, and feeling as if I should have gone to my local KTM dealer and went that route.
